What You Can Expect

As our Project Management, Senior (PM) working in a self-managed team concept, you will be a part of the ENGIE capital projects team based at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  Our projects are located on two local University campuses, and includes the University Hospital. As part of this team you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $50M, with completion of each taking the span of 1-5 years.

 

This position is being hired in support of a 50 year concession agreement to operate, maintain and enhance the University of Iowa’s utility system.  The projects you’ll take on will involve numerous and diverse projects in the areas of electric and thermal energy production and distribution, and storm- and wastewater infrastructure.

 

No two days are the same, starting with the development stage  you will be submitting reports and conducting meetings with Team members, subcontractors and stakeholders on a regular basis, providing oversight and sharing updates on projects and planning, solving construction challenges through collaboration  and clearing the path and working towards successful completion. The key measurements of success are successful completion of projects with no health, safety or environmental and public relations,  on time and under budget.  You will be managing contracts for both Design and construction of capital projects within the central plants, and managing project teams made of internal staff, external consultants  and Operations and maintenance staff.

 

Additional duties include the following:

  • Administer design and construction contracts to include the development of project specifications, a detailed scope of work and principle contract provisions, working closely with corporate Contracts Management and the Procurement Department
  • Work with the University stakeholders, ENGIE colleagues, and ENGIE contractors, including engineers, architects, construction firms, and other contractors to develop and execute projects
  • Partner with Program Manager and Operations and Maintenance leadership to identify, justify, and prioritize potential projects

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or  related field from an ABET accredited institution
  • You will have gained a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the successful management of construction or maintenance projects in which you gained experience with managing complex projects to successful completion, such as those involving schools, hospitals, manufacturing or universities
  • Possess or have the desire to achieve a PMP Certification
  • You will have experience in fostering and adhering to the highest safety standards, ensuring the safety of all employees, contractors, and the general public
  • You will have gained expertise in developing work packages for execution to include: statement of scope, change management, performance testing, QA/QC Requirements, Parts/Tools, Man-hours, Material Procurement, technical data Sheets, Drawings/Specifications, Task Procedures and job safety plans
  • You will have gained experience creating and giving presentations and professional  communications, using Microsoft Office, Procore, or other project management tools, to create written reports, project updates, and reporting data for all stakeholders including your management team, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • You are experienced with managing the financial and contractual aspects of capital projects
  • You will have demonstrated ability to create a team culture of camaraderie, integrity and trust among the integrated project team members  and exhibits excellent interpersonal skills that include listening to other’s ideas and viewpoints and the resolution of conflict situations
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and ensure performance expectations and resultant outcomes are met

Compensation 

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As the Senior Electrical Designer is responsible for creating electrical diagrams and site layouts for Electrical Energy Storage Systems utilizing lithium-ion battery technology, based on requirements established by the business team, internal guidelines, and energy industry standards including national fire protection association (NFPA855), national electric safety code (NESC), UL9540/UL9540A. The position requires experience with utility-scale energy storage design as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while communicating effectively.

 

  • Every day you work with business developers and subject matter experts to develop the design documents and drawings for Electrical Energy Storage Systems connected to high voltage utility grid, to be used in project permit applications and engineering procurement construction (EPC) sourcing
  • Develop site layouts for Electrical Substations and Battery Energy Storage facilities
  • Create Electrical Diagrams for medium voltage and low voltage power networks and communication systems
  • Review EPC drawings and provide constructive feedback

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s Degree in Drafting/Design or Engineering Technology; or related field

Function

As  Nuclear Engineer Radioactive Waste Management you will join our dynamic team which is responsible for the expertise field related to Radiation Protection, Radioactive Waste Management and Nuclear Decommissioning. Technical expertise

  • Knowledge about solid, liquid and gaseous radioactive waste types and treatment;

  • Development of waste management strategies;

The Business Operations, Senior Analyst will be engaged in a broad range of business operation activities in support of project development and construction activities throughout ENGIE North America’s (ENA) portfolio of Grid Scale Renewables (utility-scale wind, solar and storage assets.)

 

The Business Operations, Senior Analyst will work in support of ENA’s Grid Scale Renewables Project Development, Project Delivery, and Commercial Strategy cross functional teams, in support of managers, directors and vice presidents within ENA’s Grid Scale Renewables’ Project Development, Project Delivery and Commercial Strategy teams.

 

Every day in this role your work will focus on establishing and maintaining various budget control processes, accounting forensic and issues resolution, SAP and COUPA project management controls, and routine CapEx budget reviews and reporting. The Business Operations, Senior Analyst will work independently with various corporate functional support groups (e.g., Accounting, AP, IT, FP&A and Procurement) to implement ongoing business operation processes and resolve identified issues.

 

  • Assist with the formation, establishment, and upkeep of SAP WBS projects/templates and the flow of information from SAP to grid scale renewables development and construction managers to perform their job responsibilities
  • Analyze, assess, and report on Project Development/Construction CapEx and Operations/Maintenance OpEx spend data to ensure quality and accuracy. Independently execute forensic accounting tasks to identify outliers and work directly with corporate Accounting/AP and Procurement to rectify errors. Routinely produce, assess, and distribute monthly project status reports. Update, modify, and review budgets with managers, addressing outliers as supplemental budgets are approved and contingencies are released. Highlight approaching budget constraints and risks to ensure proactive management
  • Assist development, construction, and project managers with the establishment of projects and full life cycle budgets in SAP
  • Preparation of annual cash spend plans and routine cash forecasting exercises
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improving existing processes. Proactively engage and work with various corporate functions to roll-out new or updated business processes and tools
  • Develop and maintain documentation and process flows to define various business processes, and collaborate with Project Controllers on budget management, scheduling, and quality control initiatives to enhance these processes
  • As required, lead training and orientation efforts surrounding the use of legacy business systems/tools and the roll-out of new enterprise systems. Also responsible for coordinating these efforts with applicable corporate functional groups
  • Work with development managers, Accounting and Procurements to transition historic costs and established purchases to full life cycle project budgets and templates. In relationship to this activity, ensure the accounting and purchasing history of all Safe Harbor tax credit equipment are accurately assigned to applicable projects
  • Facilitate and maintain comprehensive documentation and process flows that delineate the operational procedures of our business units
  • Provide support to Project Controllers by contributing to various initiatives aimed at budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to enhance business process

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Systems, Economics, Engineering, Accounting/Finance or in a closely related field of study in which you have learned project management, financial reporting, auditing, management and analyzing of data, optimization of data and business processes, identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role
  • Detail-oriented, proactive to pursue and investigate the underlying details surrounding information being reported in order to construct a comprehensive understanding of project related risks/issues

As our Construction Management Advisor (CM), you will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating the construction and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects.   • Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, overseeing development through to project closeout, including Health, Safety, and Environment program participation
  • Track and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and deliverables, including off-take agreements and EPC agreements
  • Prepare and present weekly construction progress reports, manage construction invoices and expenses, and oversee material delivery and inventory
  • Develop and implement construction safety and progress measurement KPIs, conduct regular project meetings, and coordinate with stakeholders

Context:

The Credit Risk team assesses the creditworthiness of counterparties, participates in the negotiation of commercial contracts, and calibrates credit limits.  Assessment is done through an analysis of the country, sector, industry, and counterparty, using financials and other quantitative and qualitative public and private information.  Counterparties are frequently private and unrated by agencies.  Contract negotiation includes physical energy commodities agreements, and credit terms can include credit-specific clauses, financial covenants, collateral, and payment terms.  After signing off on a contract, the Credit Risk team monitors exposure against credit limits.  The credit health and financial condition of counterparties is also continuously monitored. 

Role:

As a Credit Risk Analyst for Global LNG & Biomass business, you will report to the Head of Credit for LNG & Biomass and will be based in Singapore.  You will collaborate to the fulfillment of department missions and may be involved in projects spanning multiple groups across commercial functions and staff.

Duties

  • Assess creditworthiness of counterparties, assign ratings, and set limits
  • Present files and credit requests to regular Credit Risk Committees
  • Participate in counterparty relationship development with Front Office and attend meetings with counterparties together with Front Office
  • Negotiate and recommend credit, collateral, and payment terms in contracts in conjunction with Legal and Front Office, such as in physical master agreements
  • Monitor credit risk indicators, exposures, limits, and utilization for a portfolio of counterparties
  • Proactively respond to Front Office queries on term sheets and about exposure of potential trades and whether trades fit limits
  • Monitor news and credit events impacting portfolio of counterparties
  • Understand risk calculation methodology, such as PFE and credit VaR
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, as and when needed
  • Assist Head of Credit and CRO in adhoc projects related to credit risk mandate and policy updates for LNG and Biomass.

 

 

Hard skills:

  • Familiar with energy commodities markets, products, counterparties, and waterborne physical trade cycle
  • Good knowledge of credit support instruments (including SBLCs, and able to review formats)
  • Knowledge of physical commodity master agreements
  • Significant history of producing detailed credit files and assigning internal ratings and limits

 

Soft skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills (including performing financial statements analysis) and able to articulate position well
