Job Purpose/Mission   

This position will be part of the Global Data team. This is an incredible opportunity to join a high-performing team that is passionate about pioneering expanded financial services to off-grid customers at the base of the pyramid. Key responsibilities will include building and maintaining data models to support sales and customer finance operations.  You would also be involved in data mining activities as well as engage with internal business stakeholders in realtime to our field team mobile application to allow data-informed decisions to be made in the field, as well as working with members of the data team to ensure high code quality and database design.  Your work will make a meaningful impact by enabling Engie to continuously innovate on how we support our customers in their repayment journey. Key Competencies 

Responsibilities   

Data Mining (20%): 

  • Design and implement robust data mining models to support analytics and reporting requirements. 

  • Carry out pre – processing, cleansing, and validating the integrioty of data to be used for analysis 

  • Enhance data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems. 

Statistical modelling (70%) 

  • Use statistical and machine learning techniques to develop solutions to support business operations from sales to credit collection. 

  •  

Stakeholder management (10%) 

  • Communicate results with stakeholders within the business operations teams. 

Experience:  

  • 5+ years of industry experience working on data scientist with a focus on data modelling, stakeholder management and data mining.,  

  • Proficiency using machine learning frameworks like keras, pytorch, Tensorflow, sckit-learn, statistical tools (statistical tests, distribution, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, strong math skills (multivariate calculus, linear algebra), machine learning methods (k-Nearest Neighbours, Naive Bayes, SVm, Decision forests), Data visualization tools (matplotlib, d3.js, Tableau). 

  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data using Python, R, Scala, Java, SQL in addition to one or more of Spark/Hadoop/Hive/HDFS , Apache Airflow, RabbitMQ/Kafka, Spark, Kubernates, and dbt. 

  • Working knowledge of databases, data systems, and analytics solutions, including proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Java, Spark and Amazon Redshift  for reporting and dashboard building. 

  • Experience with implementing unit and integration testing.  

  • Ability to gather requirements and communicate with stakeholders across data, software, and platform teams.  

  • Deep understanding of data structures, data modelling and architecture.  

  • Experience managing a team of mid-level data scientists.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelors or master’s in computer science, machine learning, or related field

Job Purpose/Mission

Responsibilities   

Data Modelling and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL): 

  • Design and implement robust data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.

Planning Engineer

Purpose

The Planning Engineer shall have overall responsibility for the management of the Plant O&M Planning. The primary responsibilities are to provide leadership for outage performance and continuous improvement of the work management process.

To liaison with the operations, maintenance and engineering departments to establish the maintenance schedule based on inspection & preventive maintenance cycles as specified by OEM’s. The schedule shall include detailed work plan, critical activities, milestone dates, resource loading, generate progress S-Curve, rolling program etc. The role shall also include periodic review and update of the schedule. You will also monitor the work schedule, highlight any critical activity that needs particular attention and discuss with O&M team to identify mitigating measures. You will have to coordinate with finance and the procurement team on the delivery of the equipment and materials on site.

 

Task & Responsibilities

Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and surveillance, and the implementation of modifications

  • Responsible to ensure compliance of IMS.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather maintenance requirements and timelines

Job Purpose/Mission 

The Sales Operations Officer oversees day-to-day logistics and administrative operations including fleet management, field stock and asset control, vehicle maintenance, health and safety compliance, and coordination with field agents. The role supports the Agent Relations Officer in agent lifecycle oversight and ensures field teams have the operational tools and infrastructure needed to deliver on sales and collections performance.

 

Responsibilities

1. Fleet and Vehicle Management

  • Oversee company vehicle scheduling and ensure optimal fleet utilization for field coverage.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, service records, and repairs to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Track fuel usage, submit requisitions, and monitor consumption patterns to prevent misuse.
  • Maintain GPS tracking systems and review driving behavior reports to ensure safety and efficiency.

2. Field Stock and Ordering Oversight

  • Forecast and place stock orders based on field demand and sales pipeline.

  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environment management systems, Quality assurance and Safety rules.

  • Assists to manage all I&C maintenance activities associated with defect and planned maintenance programmes, through a team of site based technicians with support from contract staff.
  • Organizing spares, tools and equipment to carryout I&C maintenance activities
  • Performs trouble shooting activities as necessary to identify failure conditions and rectifies defects found.
  • Ensures maintenance tasks are completed by the Technicians in accordance to Work Orders generated in CMMS.
  • Discuss with the I&C Engineer for planned and unplanned jobs undertaken.
  • Supports the I&C Engineer for outage planning and execution
  • Ensures work done notes on maintenance carried out is documented in CMMS
  • Places requisitions for purchase of required spares and consumables
  • Acts as a mentor and recommends the appropriate training for the I&C Technicians.
  • Practical knowledge of the isolation of plant.
  • Knowledge of international health & safety working practices
  • Computer literacy and basic awareness on ICS Cyber security.
  • Good command on English Language

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

  • The jobholder operates under the general guidance of the Engineer on all routine issues related to plant operations and team management
  • The jobholder is free to plan and manage own areas of activity within policy/procedural boundary limits
  • Any extraordinary issues arising outside of set policies and procedures are referred to the Maintenance Manager/I&C Section Head /Engineer for discussion and approval of recommended actions.

About Us

First Hydro Company is one of the UK’s most dynamic electric generators, responsible for the management and operation of the pumped storage plants at Dinorwig and Ffestiniog in the Snowdonia region of North Wales.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage plans for planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance, as well as breakdown maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with business statutory objectives and company procedures.
  • Set and review goals for team management, staff appraisals, training, development, and recruitment.
  • Provide engineering and quality guidance for all maintenance activities.
  • Establish and monitor departmental KPIs to improve unit availability and maintenance performance.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management Heads and Shift Managers on short- and long-term strategies.
  • Assist in developing contingency and recovery strategies.
  • Prepare and review maintenance procedures, risk assessments, and processes.
  • Manage the departmental Quality Management System requirements.
  • Communicate key strategies and learning points to affiliated departments.
  • Implement new working practices as needed.
  • Strategically plan short- and long-term outages to minimize commercial impact.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in power plant maintenance, engineering, and operations.
  • Ability to handle complex situations and prioritize under pressure.

  • Expertise in developing and implementing O&M policies and practices.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in planning, developing, monitoring, and reporting O&M budgets and plans.
  • Ability to foster an open communication climate.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Engineering-related degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Membership of an engineering institution.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.

Desirable:

  • Formal qualification or recognition in management studies.
  • Chartered Engineer Status or working towards it.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
