Actualmente buscamos un ASSET-BASED Engineering Area Manager para nuestras oficinas de Barcelona cuya Misión: Desarrollar proyectos energéticos en el ámbito industrial y en las redes urbanas de calor y frío para la GBU Local Energy Infrastructures en el territorio Español

 

Responsabilidades de la posición:

 

  1. Organizar, dirigir y planificar el trabajo del equipo de ingeniería para los proyectos de Redes de Calor y Frío (DHC) y Eficiencia Energética desde la fase de “Origination” hasta el cierre del contrato
  2. En fase de “Origination”, definición de la estrategia de oferta para lograr el posicionamiento más favorable en fases posteriores; supervisión de la confección de los entregables de estudios técnicos y económicos preliminares; interlocución comercial en colaboración con el equipo de ventas. Participación en reuniones de presentación de ofertas y estudios a clientes.
  3. En fase de oferta indicativa (NBO), supervisión de los estudios de alternativas, planificación, definición de la solución a ofertar a nuestros clientes, especificación y selección de proveedores de equipos principales, control y revisión de los entregables técnico-económicos a los clientes, preparación de planes de negocio, participación a la definición de la estrategia comercial, definición de la estrategia contractual de contratación
  4. En fase de oferta vinculante (BO), supervisión de los estudios de ingeniería básica (FEED), coordinación de los recursos técnicos involucrados en la preparación de la oferta, presentación a clientes
  5. Preparación y participación a los comités de aprobación internos
  6. Asegurar y controlar en todas las fases de desarrollo de los proyectos que se cumplan los estándares definidos por el Grupo para proyectos industriales.
  7. Planificar y controlar que el “Handover” de los proyectos entre el equipo de ingeniería y el equipo de construcción reduciendo al mínimo el riesgo de pérdida de información

 

Requisitos mínimos

 

  • Titulación superior universitaria (Ingeniería industrial – Ingeniería Química)
  • Inglés nivel B2

 

Experiencia:

 

  • 7 años en actividades de ingeniería energética en el sector industrial
  • 3 años en dirección de proyectos energéticos
  • 3 años en actividades relacionadas con el desarrollo de proyectos energéticos en el sector industrial
  • 3 años de experiencia en una ESE

           Job Purpose/Mission 

As part of the ENGIE Mozambique management team, the Head of Mini Grids and SBS Mozambique will be responsible for the overall strategic planning, financial management, and operational activities related to the Mini Grid activity in Mozambique. He or she will supervise the construction of new Mini Grid sites, technical operations, sales, credit, and stakeholder relations related to the Mini Grid activities. The head of Mini Grids has P&L responsibility for the Mini Grids and SBS activities in Mozambique. He / She will also contribute to the overall strategy and leadership of the Mini Grids operations.

The Head of Mini Grids and SBS will primarily be responsible for managing construction, operation, and maintenance of Mini Grids, ensuring health and safety is protected on all sites, and implementing initiatives to stimulate power demand and grow revenues at the Mini Grid sites.

 

           Responsibilities

  • Strategy, planning, and execution: Develop and execute a strategy to make Mini Grids and SBS in Mozambique a success.

    • Set, curate, and communicate the vision for Mini Grids and SBS in Mozambique.

    • Lead and manage design and electrical engineering for solar projects throughout the lead creation and execution stages

    • Configure PV systems based on site conditions and customers’ needs and expectations.

    • Manage electrical work such as installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.

    • Schedule, coordinate, and inspect electrical installations and maintenance activities.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure the optimal performance of solar energy systems.

    • Train and support installation and maintenance technicians, promoting best practices, quality assurance checks, and continuous improvement.

    • Lead, iterate, support, and grow all Mini Grids and SBS activities in Mozambique.

    • Goal, target, and incentive setting: Ensure the team has clear goals, targets, and incentives to support growth in key areas.

 

  • Construction, operations, and maintenance of mini grid sites

    • Directly managing the construction of new mini grids across the country with adherence to health and safety, time, and budget.

    • Responsible for ensuring the commissioned sites are well managed, efficient, and well-maintained.

    • Oversee all operations on the mini grid sites.

    • Licensing and Regulation: Ensure that all regulatory approvals and applicable licenses are in place for EEA to conduct its business activities.

 

  • HSE

    • Responsible and accountable for Health, Safety, and Environment across all the Mini Grids sites.

    • Ensure all installation and maintenance activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies.

    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards

    • Promote a culture of safety within the team, ensuring all team members are aware of and adhere to HSE protocols.

    • Develop and implement HSE training programs for the team.

    • Investigate and report any HSE incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

 

  • Team supervision

    • Supervise and build a mission-aligned, high-performing, and passionate mini grid team across the country.

    • Ensuring that EEA has the talent and skills we need to achieve our ambitious targets.

    • Recruitment and retention of top talent, training and mentorship, building mini grid knowledge and capacity within the team, promoting EEA values, and proactively addressing underperformance.

    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and high performance.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

 

  • Commercial and financial management

    • Oversee Mini Grids and SBS Mozambique’s financial performance at the highest level by providing support and strategic guidance to the finance team and departments to properly budget, forecast, and review expenses and revenues.

    • Create and develop the commercial activities in line with the investment committee-approved business plan.

    • Responsible for meeting revenue targets and for the mini-grid and SBS P&L.

 

  • Global best practices:

    • Collaborate with other Mini Grids and SBS teams & EEA Global team to leverage best practices, implement best practices from abroad, and brainstorm solutions to common challenges.

    • Responsible for ensuring compliance by all Mini Grid teams with EEA’s Health and Safety requirements.

 

Knowledge and skills 

Experience:

  • Must have strong project management experience, particularly experience managing construction projects and Health and Safety regulations.

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience; at least 2 of which are in a multi-functional organization with large teams.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and take relevant and nimble action on P&L and financial statements.

  • Experience in cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whether in a boardroom or a customer’s off-grid home.

  • Excellent judgement and ability to work autonomously with a team in pursuit of innovative and aggressive stretch goals. 

  • Technical knowledge of solar energy systems and installation processes.

  • Registered & Certified with the DNE (Direcção Nacional de Energia) (mandatory).

  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety Requirements while dealing with High Voltage installations

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field.

  • An MBA or master’s degree will be an added advantage.

 

Language(s): 

  • Portuguese required.

  • English required.

Context:

The Expertise Center (EC) Quantitative Research and Modeling (QRM) within GEMS is a team of around 40 quantitative analysts. It’s mission is to provide advanced quantitative expertise to all Business Platforms (BP) of GEMS.

The quantitative analyst will be part of the “Power & Emissions” quant team (approximately 10 people) and will be supporting the different local business platforms, with a focus on the US Business Platform located in Houston.

Role:

 

The quantitative analyst should design and provide robust quantitative tools that have a concrete impact on the power business:

  • Work very closely with the BP US, mainly with the Renewable and Batteries Trading teams. He / She needs to understand their business needs, and needs to provide them with high-quality quantitative support in their day to day activities.
  • Participate in enhancing the existing pricing and managing framework.
  • Deliver ad hoc tactical solutions as well as develop new pricers in the official pricing library.
  • Play a key role for developing new products, linked for example to the renewable and battery business (pricing, managing strategies, various risk indicators, …).
  • Promote best coding practices that comply with general rules and standards.
  • Document and share knowledge across GEMS on the different models used within GEMS.

 

 

Hard skills:

  • Must have:
    • Strong Financial Mathematical background (probability, stochastic calculus, various numerical methods such as Monte Carlo, finite differences, …)
    • Experience on different optimization methods
    • Strong coding experience (preferably C# and python), object oriented programming skills

Your mission
  
As a Senior Lead Engineer in Structural Engineering, you will join Tractebel's Structural Engineering team, a key player in delivering complex infrastructure projects in Belgium and internationally. Our team comprises approximately 120 experts, lead engineers, design engineers, BIM modelers, and CAD draftsmen working from four locations in Belgium (Ghent, Hasselt, Brussels, and Namur) and in Romania.

The choice of which Belgian office you want to work from is entirely up to you.

 

Your key responsibilities 

 

  • Leading and managing structural engineering projects from concept to execution, ensuring compliance with quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Acting as an expert in structural engineering, providing technical design reviews and guidance for other projects within the department.
  • Driving the use of BIM and parametric design to enhance project efficiency and innovation.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, geotechnical engineers, and draftsmen, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Preparing and presenting project proposals, offers, and contracts in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Ensuring adherence to Tractebel’s quality system and health & safety regulations throughout project execution.

We would love to hear from people with  
 

  • A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 20 years of experience in structural engineering projects, particularly involving complex infrastructures such as bridges, tunnels, railways, and airports.
  • Proven expertise in leading and managing engineering projects, with experience across all project phases, including sales, contracts, design, studies, tendering, and execution.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with BIM and parametric design.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to maintain focus and composure under pressure, combined with a healthy dose of assertiveness and diplomacy.

Ta mission  

 

En tant qu’alternant Ingénieur Projet dans notre département nucléaire, tu contribueras tous les jours à notre mission en accompagnant ton tuteur /ton équipe dans les missions suivantes :  

  • Gérer la planification et l'organisation des projets nucléaires en respectant les exigences techniques, réglementaires et de sécurité. 
  • Coordonner les équipes pluridisciplinaires pour assurer la bonne exécution des projets. 
  • Suivre les performances du projet et assurer la gestion des risques. 
  • Participer à l’amélioration du système de management intégré pour les sujets relatifs à la Santé Sécurité Sûreté. 

 

Ce que tu vas développer

 

  • Tu développeras des compétences approfondies en gestion de projets nucléaires. 
  • Tu te familiariseras avec les différentes phases d'un projet nucléaire, de la conception à la mise en service, en travaillant avec l’équipe. 

 

Qui es-tu 

 

  • Tu es actuellement en dernière année en BAC+5 dans une école d’ingénieur telle que IAE, SKEMA, etc. 
  • Tu peux travailler avec les outils logiciels pertinents tels que Suite Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). 
  • Tu es rigoureux, curieux et organisé. 
  • Doté d’une aisance relationnelle, tu as une bonne maîtrise du français aussi bien à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

Ta mission  

 

En tant qu’alternant Appui Ingénieur Projet dans notre département nucléaire, tu contribueras tous les jours à notre mission en supportant ton tuteur /ton équipe dans les missions suivantes : 

  • Rédiger des offres techniques et commerciales en appui au Chef de Projet, en assurant la structuration et la formalisation des documents. 
  • Concevoir des supports de présentation pour synthétiser les données techniques et stratégiques des projets nucléaires. 
  • Structurer et optimiser les processus de gestion de projet afin d'améliorer l'efficacité et la traçabilité des actions. 
  • Participer à la rédaction des offres. 

 

Ce que tu vas développer  

 

  • Tu assureras le suivi opérationnel des affaires en collaboration avec l'Ingénieur Projet. 
  • Tu analyseras les besoins techniques et participeras à la coordination des différentes parties prenantes. 
  • Tu développeras une expertise en gestion de projet dans le domaine du nucléaire en intervenant sur des dossiers stratégiques. 

 

Qui es-tu 

 

  • Tu es actuellement en dernière année ou en BAC+5 dans une école localisée à proximité de Marseille. 
  • Tu peux travailler avec les outils logiciels pertinents tels que les logiciels de bureautique. 
  • Tu as également le bon sens relationnel et la curiosité technique. 
  • Tu parles couramment Français et tu as une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais.

Context:

The applicant will join the "Digital and Data Accelerator" (DDA) team. The primary objective of this team is to develop high-quality data products for our clients, focusing on critical areas such as fundamental data collection, historical asset data compilation, and production and consumption forecasting models. This initiative plays a vital role in optimizing resource allocation and advancing decarbonization efforts.

The DDA team engages in various strategic activities, including the development and rationalization of data projects, ensuring robust data governance, and maintaining high data quality standards. We collaborate closely with the GEMS business unit to enhance data utilization efficiency. Furthermore, the team is tasked with structuring and piloting the data strategy within GEMS, reinforcing governance practices, and implementing a cohesive data architecture.

Role:

Working hand in hand with business and IT teams, the Data Engineer will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines.
  • Ensure the availability and quality of data.
  • Optimize the performance of data processing systems.
  • Interact with data scientists to understand their needs and adapt pipelines accordingly.
  • Implement best development practices and monitor production systems.

Particular care will be necessary to:

  • Manage large volumes of data.
  • Optimize pipeline performance.
  • Ensure code maintainability.
  • Quickly resolve incidents.
  • Continuously improve existing systems.

Hard skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency in big data frameworks such as Spark and Databricks.
  • Experience with data pipeline tools and ETL processes.
  • Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, in particular AWS S3, Glue, Athena or equivalent.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • DevOps, infra as code, continuous integration and delivery concepts.
  • Agile methodology.

Soft skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with data scientists and other team members.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Education and professional background:

 

  • Master’s degree in engineering with a proven specialty in IT or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the implementation and customization of data pipelines
