As the Engineering Senior Advisor – Electrical, you will manage all aspects of Electrical Engineering design and construction activities for utility-scale renewables projects (wind, solar, and energy storage) throughout the US and Canada and serve as an innovative subject matter expert and leader.

Every day in this role:

  • Lead development and updates of Substation and Protection & Control (SPC) technical specifications, standards, and corrective action designs
  • Coordinate engineering design efforts with EPC and manage external engineering firms and subcontractors to ensure high-quality project execution
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SPC, supporting Project Engineering Managers and leading design reviews/submittals of high voltage substations and transmission system protection schemes to include Vendor Equipment Selection, GA’s, Elevation Views, Ground Grids, Conduit & Grounding Layouts, Switching Diagrams, Relay Protection One-Lines, Three-Line Diagrams, Communication Network Diagrams, AC&DC Schematics, Connection & Wiring Diagrams
  • Provide internal engineering support to Development & Pre-Construction groups, and assist with procurement processes for long lead materials
  • Stay updated on new technologies, regulatory conditions, and industry best practices, with up to 20% travel for site assessments and construction meetings and activities

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Engineering Technology, or closely related field of study
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct experience and proven knowledge in high voltage (138kV and above) electrical substation engineering and design field is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering standards including (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI) and FERC and NERC requirements for electric substation reliability
  • Extensive knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals and three phase power systems
  • Proficiency in engineering application software to complete tasks such as ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, load flow, and short circuit studies
  • Experience in protective relay coordination and settings for HV and EHV transmission systems and familiarity with Schweitzer and General Electric relay and communication equipment
  • Knowledge of transmission line protection schemes (step-distance, POTT, DCB, DUTT) and electrical systems analysis software (ASPEN, ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, and PSLF)
  • Must be able to communicate complex technical subject matter information to a wide range of audiences verbally and in written communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and demonstrate excellent organizational and project management skills

As the Senior Enterprise Architect in Houston, Texas, for ENGIE North America, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Renewable and Flexible Power and Local Energy Infrastructures business units. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management and Innovation, your duties will include:

 

  • Enterprise Architecture Leadership – Define, guide, and oversee IT architecture to support corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. Develop and maintain enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, roadmaps, and governing principles.
  • Governance & Compliance – Lead EA governance processes, manage architectural exceptions, and establish policies, standards, and best practices. Ensure technical solutions meet conceptual completeness.

What You’ll Bring

Oversee technical aspects and coordinate with operations teams. What You Can Expect

As our High Quality Water Treatment Operator  at the University of Iowa campus, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily route coverage to meet the high-quality water needs of on-campus clients. Your duties are customer facing and include monitoring, operating, and maintaining water treatment systems to provide specialized finished water for various operational needs at the University of Iowa. High Quality Water operates and services the public water systems at Oakdale Water Plant, and MacBride Nature Recreation Area, and various high quality water and pool/spa water systems across the campus. Processes include chlorination, PH adjustment, other chemical injection, water softening, filtration, reverse osmosis, deionization, distillation, and ultraviolet disinfection.  You will also conduct flushing and disinfection as required for new construction piping systems, performing sampling and chemical treatments to meet NPDES permit discharge requirements. You will conduct water quality sampling and record operational parameters to ensure quality water is delivered efficiently.  You will perform or coordinate equipment maintenance tasks identified on your rounds. Additionally you will read meters, and perform data entry for billing and regulatory reporting. Clean plants and grounds.

 

Your typical day starts with a morning meeting to discuss planned activities, review previous day's activities, and outline longer-term plans. Following this, you will commence your assigned route, which includes collecting samples, reading meters, and checking operating conditions of equipment such as pressures, water quality, and volume. Visiting customers with on-site equipment, making chemical adjustments, logging samples, and performing operational checks, and responding to outages or quality issues in the water systems. Maintenance tasks include flushing, disinfecting of process equipment, and other minor or preventative maintenance such as filter replacement and UV bulb replacement. You will utilize Maximo to track time and parts for billing purposes and complete vulnerability assessments. Additionally, you'll use Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook) to ensure compliance and document testing and services for local, county, state, and federal requirements

 

This role primarily operates during day shifts, with occasional requirements for nights, weekends, and holidays due to on-call duties or planned/emergency outages.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • This role requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and clean driving record, employee operates company vehicles daily
  • Licensed or ability to be licensed as a State of Iowa Department of Natural Resources Grade 1 Water Treatment certification
  • Licensed or ability to be licensed as a State of Iowa Department of Natural Resources Grade 1 Water Distribution certification
  • Experience or education in laboratory procedures, mathematics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, human health, computers, instrumentation, and safety programs relevant to water treatment operations
  • Familiarity with Iowa Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations for water treatment systems

  • This role requires daily attendance at a worksite 
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and clean driving record, employee operates company vehicles daily

  • Physically capable of entering and working in confined spaces and wearing PPE, including half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, and safety shoes
  • Ability to hear warning alarms
  • Capable of performing various physical tasks, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have corrected eyesight at 20/40 to accurately read instruments, gauges, and manuals
  • Ability to read gages, charts, computer monitors, operations manuals, and colorimetric test results 
  • Ability to operate forklifts, trucks, and other motor vehicles 
  • The position consists of 75% work indoors and 25% work outdoors travel between locations (building to building) may expose the employee to weather conditions

Salary Range:  $23.65 - $36.21 USD hourly

This is a full-time position that is fully in-office located in Spokane, Washington

Work Schedule Hours are 8:30am-5:00pm 

Monday- Friday

SUMMARY: 

 

Responsible for performing specialized duties in support of department operations, including sorting, opening, prepping, counting, batching, scanning, and prioritizing incoming utility invoices. High volume, fast paced environment. Assists in providing quality service to our internal clients. Additional duties include general mailroom and filing functions.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Sort, open and prep incoming utility invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Identify due dates and prep bills appropriately for scanning. 
  • Differentiate between high and low priority correspondence and process as instructed. 
  • Identify utility invoices/correspondence containing documents other than an invoice, such as, urgent notices, checks, meter issues, violation notices, etc. and expedite their process.
  • Create, scan, and transfer batches, ensuring legible images. 
  • Scan high priority correspondence and transfer to appropriate team folders. 
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments for internal and external clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE:

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Mailroom or clerical experience preferred. 

  • General office machine and computer experience.

  • Attention to detail in tasks and processes, with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Dependable/reliable, results oriented. 

  • Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and workflow. 

  • Ability to stay focused with repetitive type of work. 

  • Must be a service minded individual who is flexible and adaptable.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:  

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time

  • Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and by video call
  • Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms, and printed on paper

Additional Information:

The pay range for this role is: $12.24-$20.70; however all offers are in compliance with state minimum wage laws. 

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.   • Independently establish and maintain strong business relationships with a designated portfolio of clients within a high-volume product family.
