What You Can Expect

As our Contracts Intern, in Columbus, OH, at The Ohio State University. You will be responsible for support with contract management activities including review of supplier change orders, generate / review redline documents, participate in preparing bid evaluations for review with stakeholders.

 

Every day you will assist the Capital Projects Contract team with day-to-day sourcing and contracting functions for both the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the contracting activities post-award.  You will report to the Contracts Advisor. The internship work term will be from June 2 – August 22, 2025.

 

You will:

  • Work 10-20 hours per week minimum
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally; organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks
  • Coordinate and communicate with project teams and external stakeholders during the initial review, negotiation and finalization of competitive solicitations
  • Assist with updating and organizing contract tracking files for various types of contracts
  • Conduct market research for labor and materials
  • Assist with development of contracting process & quality improvement initiatives

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are an undergraduate junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or a Graduate student with a technical or business field from The Ohio State University
  • Experience with the software included in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly creation and editing of word documents, spreadsheets and capable of learning procurement software platforms like (ARIBA, COUPA)
  • Knowledge of general procurement processes or business principles

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a weekly basis
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

Compensation

Hourly Range: $23.50 to $32.50 USD/ hourly

What You Can Expect

As our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Specialist Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting for ENGIE North America's expanding portfolio. Throughout your internship, you will work closely with the Global Business Unit (GBU) Asset Management, Operations, and Partnership teams, developing a strong understanding of operational profitability drivers, risk management, and liquidity planning.

You will be part of ENGIE’s finance team and contribute to preparing accurate monthly and quarterly financial results for Management, Partnership, and Group reporting. You will also participate in compiling monthly and quarterly business reviews, helping to highlight business performance and key project drivers for senior leadership.

This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the RGBU Director of FP&A. The internship work term will be from May 2025 – August 2025, part-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.

 

 

  • Participation in the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE and partners guidelines
  • Under the supervision of the FP&A Director or Advisor, prepare supporting materials for and actively participate in partnership Board meetings
  • Ensure that the GBU's budget and MTP data is correctly and promptly entered into reporting systems from our Operational SAC Budget tool to our consolidated reports
  • Participation to produce timely and accurate closing reporting, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components by portfolio (ENGIE and Partners). IT tools (ERP SAP, SAC) will support your analysis
  • Partner with accounting and IT departments to ensure reporting accuracy including but not limited to data mapping and creating new reporting structures
  • Support senior management with ad hoc performance reporting and analysis


What You’ll Bring

  • Must be a Junior or Senior (by end of Spring 2025 semester) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint  
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

This Environmental Development and Permitting Intern role is an opportunity to work with a Global Leader in Renewables Development. The Environmental Intern will work to support ENGIE’s Development Pipeline in North America and help to ensure that Projects are following best management practices (BMPs) to minimize environmental impacts and maximize biodiversity value of commercial-scale Renewables Projects.

In this role the Intern will support biodiversity studies, surveys, and micrositing efforts to minimize wildlife and wetland impacts, and support the Senior Advisor on compliance obligations, preparing development projects for construction-stage efforts, and support the pursuit of federal and state permits where necessary. The Intern will have the opportunity to coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Land Use, and Engineering obligations.

  • Complete assigned training and follow all ENGIE safety procedures (9 Life Saving Rules)
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, and site visits to wind and/or solar sites
  • Communicate using email, TEAMS meetings and phone calls
  • Review renewable environmental plans, surveys, and Best Management Practices (BMPs) documentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Masters-level coursework with an undergraduate degree focused on law, engineering, environmental science, or biology at an accredited college or university
