What You Can Expect

The Project Developer supports a broad range of pre-construction development activities on projects within ENGIE’s utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada. This role involves assisting the development team with all aspects of early to late-stage project development, such as permitting, stakeholder engagement, public hearings, environmental site assessment, and project financing due diligence.

The Project Developer collaborates with land and greenfield teams, interconnection experts, as well as pre-construction, engineering, and project delivery to fulfill the company's renewable energy goals and growth strategy for wind, solar, and storage project development in North America. The Project Developer will support the development team to:

  • Support Development Activities: Manage and drive development of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects from feasibility to construction, including environmental assessments, permitting, interconnection, land acquisition, and design
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with land and greenfield teams, interconnection experts, and departments such as pre-construction, engineering, and project delivery to achieve renewable energy goals
  • Engage Stakeholders: Engage with consultants, landowners, and stakeholders, attend public hearings, and ensure effective communication throughout the development process
  • Research and Compliance: Stay updated on industry developments, tax incentives, and technologies; manage permit applications and interactions with local, state, and federal agencies, including Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) submittals, and remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities and industry trends
  • Financial and Administrative Support: Develop project model underwriting assumptions, support off-take origination efforts, financing, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) discussions, prepare investment materials, and review pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted, and maintain database tracking project progress

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration, Finance, Energy, Economics, or a related field of study in which you have project development, permitting/planning, project management, or business development experience
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience, in renewable energy development or other project development fields, with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks effectively
  • Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with public officials and agencies
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to present to diverse audiences, including landowners, potential off-takers, government officials, and corporate leaders
  • Motivated self-starter, results-oriented, detailed professional who proactively pursues information and works well with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $86,100 – $132,020 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect
ENGIE North America is hiring a Battery Storage Technician for our Five Wells Solar / Storage project located near Rogers, TX.   

Your daily responsibilities begin with performing High Voltage (HV) switching, substation, and HV equipment lockouts and grounding tasks. Demonstrate the consistent use of Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques when solving plant abnormalities and equipment failures. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs. Perform routine inspections such as, prepare oil analysis samples, safely using tools (e.g hot sticks, multimeter, and IR Camera). Assist with equipment operation training for contractors and other site employees. Manage and coordinate work on-site between different contractors, vendors and BESS service providers ensuring quality work, is completed safely and promptly.

 

In this role your key responsibilities everyday will be:

  • You may be required to assist solar technicians with repairing, troubleshooting, and completing technical repair work orders for solar inverters as needed
  • Actively participate in the behavior-based safety program and ensure every team member and contractor complies with all safety procedures and applicable task-oriented job safety analyses
  • Ensure site safety rules are communicated and adhered to through Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Meetings
  • Demonstrate procedural compliance in all site operation and maintenance activities by utilizing established procedures
  • Ensure site equipment is kept at the highest possible standard maximizing availability, reliability, efficiency, and profitability
  • Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures
  • Perform the housekeeping functions and equipment cleaning necessary to maintain the site in a clean and neat condition
  • Recommend operating and/or maintenance changes that will enhance plant performance and availability


What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED or a diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/DC current, electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in any or BESS sites, Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites, Thermal power plants, Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Instrumentation Maintenance
  • Proficient in using and maintaining SCADA systems
  • Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to support other support operations at other ENGIE Renewable Generation ( Solar, Wind and Storage sites

This Environmental Development and Permitting Intern role is an opportunity to work with a Global Leader in Renewables Development. The Environmental Intern will work to support ENGIE’s Development Pipeline in North America and help to ensure that Projects are following best management practices (BMPs) to minimize environmental impacts and maximize biodiversity value of commercial-scale Renewables Projects.

In this role the Intern will support biodiversity studies, surveys, and micrositing efforts to minimize wildlife and wetland impacts, and support the Senior Advisor on compliance obligations, preparing development projects for construction-stage efforts, and support the pursuit of federal and state permits where necessary. The Intern will have the opportunity to coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Land Use, and Engineering obligations.

  • Complete assigned training and follow all ENGIE safety procedures (9 Life Saving Rules)
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, and site visits to wind and/or solar sites
  • Communicate using email, TEAMS meetings and phone calls
  • Review renewable environmental plans, surveys, and Best Management Practices (BMPs) documentation

As the Project Manager II, reporting to the Director of Capex, you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the Ohio State University campus for projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $15M.

 

Every day, you will report onsite to our office located on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, OH. You will simultaneously handle the ideation, development, approval, and execution phase for multiple projects. You will work in collaboration with our Capex team, university stakeholders, and technical stakeholders.

 


Other duties you can expect:

  • You will utilize new budgets and cost tracking devices to provide input to long-term financial planning, issue contracts, change contract orders, and process invoices
  • You will monitor project progress in design and construction phases through regular contractor and stakeholder interaction both virtually and in-person on work sites
  • You can liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or previous experience in industrial projects in lieu of engineering degree
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years’ of project management experience managing the scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout of projects
  • You possess or have the desire to obtain a PMP Certification
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors, including engineers, architects, and construction firms to develop and execute projects

  • Vei efectua activități în mod operativ, conform cu procedurile și instrucțiunile de lucru a activităților de Exploatare Rețea: Mentenanță Preventivă (detectare pierderi gaze, localizare defecte, revizia anuala a elementelor sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale – conducte, branșamente, vane, stații reglare, posturi reglare) și Mentenanță Corectivă (intervenții de urgență, depanaj, identificarea și remedierea defectelor elementelor sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale, lucrări de terasamente, punere în funcțiune a rețelelor și/sau a posturilor de reglare noi sau înlocuite și, respectiv, scoaterea din funcțiune a rețelelor și/sau a posturilor ce urmează a fi dezafectate, modernizări posturi reglare), pentru asigurarea exploatării în siguranță a sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale.
  • Vei executa manevre în cadrul sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale la solicitarea Sefului de Exploatare (SE) atunci când îndeplinește funcția de agent de intervenție de urgență (AIU), completând în scris cu claritate, documentele de lucru specifice.
  • Vei colecta date și vei consemna operațiile efectuate în teren utilizând, acolo unde este cazul, aparatele, echipamentele și dispozitivele puse la dispoziție pentru buna desfășurare a activității, echipamentul electronic din dotarea laboratorului mobil pentru depistarea pierderilor de gaze, în ordinele de serviciu (OS) și anexe, formularele de lucru, autorizații de lucru în rețea (ALR), program de lucru, permis de lucru cu foc, plan de securitate șantier, plan de semnalizare a lucrării, autorizație de construcție intervenție.

 

In domeniul de activitate de Tehnic Clientela:

  • Vei executa activități specifice Proceselor de Tehnic Clientelă, în urma cărora te vei asigura de completarea corectă a formularelor aferente și vei confirma operațiile efectuate, răspunzând pentru corectitudinea datelor înscrise și pentru calitatea lucrărilor executate.
  • Vei efectua activități în mod operativ, conform cu procedurile și instrucțiunile de lucru a activităților de tehnic clientelă: punerea în funcțiune a instalațiilor de utilizare gaze naturale (iugn) noi sau existente, inclusiv montarea mijloacelor de măsurare, înlocuirea demontarea și montarea mijloacelor de măsurare, citirea mijloacelor de măsurare și/sau corectoarelor și punerea la dispoziție a datelor de consum, tratarea solicitărilor de servicii la cererea consumatorilor, furnizorilor, terților și clienților interni, modalitatea de reluare a furnizării după diferite evenimente pe iugn, gestionarea datelor și fiselor privind verificările și reviziile realizate de prestatorii autorizați.

 

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

  • Studii generale;
  • Curs calificare instalator gaze;
  • Autorizație ANRE - instalator autorizat, conform legislației în vigoare (EGD si EGIU)
  • Experiență minimum 1 an în exploatarea sistemului de distribuție de gaze naturale;
  • Capacitatea de a folosi diverse aparate, echipamente și dispozitive utilizate în cadrul Societății;
  • Capacitatea de lucru sub presiunea timpului și disponibilitatea la sarcini neplanificate;
  • Exigență și rigoare profesională;
  • Cunoașterea normelor tehnice în vigoare, a procedurilor și instrucțiunilor de lucru specifice sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale (Mentenanță Preventivă, Mentenanță Corectivă, Tehnic Clientela).
