What You Can Expect

Our Meters and Controls Supervisor based at the University of Iowa Main Campus in Iowa City, IA.  Will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician staff related to the operations, maintenance, and repair activities associated with the Utility Network and metering systems.

 

Daily you will be providing assignments for our Team of E&I Technicians, and providing coordination for work performed by other disciplines such as network and controls engineers,  cybersecurity analysts, and trades including electricians, steamfitters, and contractors. You will be using your knowledge and experience to build, supervise, and train our team who installs, operates, troubleshoots, and maintains the Utility Network and associated systems focusing on the primary goals of safety, reliability and stewardship. You will determine jobsite work sequences and safety procedures required. You will procure materials, coordinates outages with customers, direct work and direct unplanned outage restoration activities.

 

  • You will provide all supervisory support for direct reports such as ensuring that all regular scheduling, On-call emergency response scheduling, PTO or vacation, or other time off work operations, and that team members are properly documented for payroll and attendance records
  • You will proactively address issues as they arise
  • You’ll participate in the filling of vacancies
  • You will assist the operating staff in responding to (attend) any operational incidents or emergencies on a 24/7/365 basis
  • You will recommend staffing plans to provide enhanced quality and efficiency of service delivery
  • You will provide technical and coordination support to capital projects which impact the Utility Network systems
    • Work with project teams, other internal departments, contractors, and end users to coordinate related work
    • Review design documents and provide QA/QC during construction or maintenance activities to ensure compliance with design standards and departmental standards. Works proactively providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • You will support and help drive a robust maintenance management program focused on preventive and predictive maintenance utilizing the full capabilities of our CMMS system
  • You will Implement corporate policies, procedures, and directives
  • You will interpret and assist with maintenance of system logs, drawings, and documentation on utility systems

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of an Associate’s (AAS) degree in Automation & Instrumentation (A&I) or Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), Other/similar technical programs of study may be considered
  • In lieu of AAS degree specified as above, A High School diploma  and two (2) years of direct work experience with industrial automation and controls may be considered
  • You must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial automation and controls in addition to the above requirements
  • You must have a valid state issued driver's license, this role requires operation of company vehicles
  • Knowledge of utility systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of tools and methods necessary to troubleshoot and maintain utility network and control systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the trade
  • Knowledge of the trade occupational hazards and safety precautions while working in confined spaces, aerial or elevated locations, extreme temperatures, excavations, and other environmental caused conditions
  • Knowledge of utility standards, and safety programs as governed by rules, regulations and guidelines of local, state, equipment manufacturers and others
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, Utility maps, and repair manuals
  • Ability to perform basic math computations
  • Ability to maintain records and system documentation
  • Ability to analyze system problems, recommend and implement system changes
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with other department personnel, vendors and suppliers, and other staff
  • Ability to train and instruct by providing, or following oral and written instructions

Compensation

Salary Range:  $39.38 – $58.38 USD hourly

What You Can Expect

As a Photo Voltaic (PV) Designer for ENGIE North America you will be responsible for designing and finalizing design layouts for rooftop, ground mount, and carport solar PV installations, and battery storage, throughout the USA. Candidates must have strong technical and design skills along with the ability to handle a variety of tasks on multiple projects. You will assist various departments on requests to develop, design, and optimize PV projects.

 

Everyday you will need to meet deadlines while handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and high degree of accuracy. Additionally, you will support other departments with tasks throughout a project’s life cycle, such as drawings for bid, permit, construction, revisions, RFPs, and as-builts.

What You Can Expect

As the Construction Management, Senior (CMSr) in ENGIE, Distributed Energy Solution (DES) you will oversee ENGIE’s construction sites and subcontractors, provide baseline/milestone/look-ahead schedule, ensuring site safety practices, and uphold quality assurance/control measures are provided for the installations.   • A minimum of five (5) years of construction management experience
  • Technical experience and or training with electrical, mechanical, lighting projects
  • Scheduling experience with Microsoft Project or comparable software
  • Past experience working with Project Inspectors and Field Engineers
  • Experience in construction projects, working at sites, managing subcontractors, contracts administration and change management
  • Experienced in preparing and executing Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Plans
  • Basic Knowledge of project engineering for technical consult and QA/QC inspections

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of design and grid connection of rooftop, carport and ground-mounted solar PV and energy storage installations for ENGIE Energy Solutions. Your work will serve a complete design run through our internal engineering firm, which once validated is provided to installation contractors, interconnecting utilities, permitting authorities, clients, and building owners. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Project Development and Delivery teams who will request your support to develop, design, procure for, and optimize the resulting product .

 

Every day you will evaluate existing facilities and building electrical systems including distribution equipment, premises wiring, and utility supply infrastructure to inform interconnection and PV Systems Design team.

 

  • Assembles system drawing sets in AutoCAD for purposes of bidding, permitting, and construction in accordance with Engie’s design standards and methodology
  • Prepares Bill of Materials for projects to include equipment from system design
  • Coordinates with local jurisdictions and utilities to confirm compliance with applicable codes and to secure necessary permit and interconnection approval
  • Documents completed installations for client as-built drawings for purposes of operations and maintenance
  • Regularly travel to perform site surveys domestically which will include working at heights, roof inspection, and working in proximity to AC and DC electrical components to inspect a building’s roof, structure, and electrical system
  • Remains up-to-date on new technologies and regulatory conditions including building codes, fire codes, utility requirements, vendor qualifications, industry best practices, safety standards, and relevant standards development

  • Strong familiarity with National Electric Code and other design codes

What You Can Expect

As a the Project Coordination Analyst you will be part of the operations and maintenance (O&M) team for Distributed Solar and Storage activities. This role will report to the O&M Field Service Director and responsible for assisting all Regional Services Managers in coordinating all activities related to the operation and maintenance of our 500 sites operational.

 

Additionally, you will assist the Regional Service Manager with final service report documentation, create purchase orders in COUPA, and close open tickets when services are complete.

 

  • Dispatch subcontractors to sites based on required interventions (preventive maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, or repair)
  • Verify subcontractor offers against negotiated agreements and create purchase orders
  • Create prior-approval requests with customers/financial partners in accordance with our maintenance contracts and handle invoicing
  • Coordinate interventions with customers as necessary
  • Ensure intervention reports are completed promptly and record summaries and future actions in our tracking tool
  • Prepare price requests for preventive services for the following year and participate in selecting the best subcontractors by site/region
  • Participate in O&M coordination team meetings to prioritize sites for maximum production and prepare monthly performance reports, sharing site difficulties encountered

Compensation

Salary Range: $53,900 – $83,375 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Senior Project Developer

What You Can Expect

The Project Developer, Senior will lead the development activities for all ENGIE distributed solar and storage projects, guiding them from site control to Notice to Proceed (NTP) for greenfield sites, origination projects, and M&A initiatives throughout the United States. Key responsibilities include land acquisition, permitting, environmental reviews, and other facets of solar energy and storage project development to help achieve the company's renewable energy goals and growth strategy in North America. You should possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

 

Everyday you will direct and manage both internal and external subject matter experts to ensure the successful completion of land acquisition, environmental assessments, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection, real estate, and design activities. Additionally, you will assist in activities related to M&A opportunities initiated by the team.

 

  • Facilitate strategic meetings with customers, landowners, and local/state/regional stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process. This includes attending community engagement events, conferences, and policy advocacy meetings
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on project updates and solar market policies to customers, landowners, potential off-takers, government officials, and corporate supporters.
  • Help create new tools and trackers to monitor development progress and manage data effectively.
  • Mentor junior members of the Project Development team, assigning tasks as appropriate and providing assistance as needed

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields

  • A minimum of five (5) years of project development experience, including managing projects at various stages of the development lifecycle
  • Comfortable handling challenging commercial disagreements, maintaining professionalism with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Motivated individual who can work independently within a large, matrixed organization while effectively collaborating with various cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint; Salesforce
