What You Can Expect

ENGIE’s Asset Management team manages a fleet of >8.4 GW of grid-scale Wind, Solar & Storage assets in multiple Independent System Operators (ISO’s) in the U.S. (ERCOT, SPP, PJM, MISO, CAISO) and Canada. The portfolio under management is expected to grow by more than 1 GW/year over the next decade with an expansion in new ISO’s and new technologies.

As an integral part of this team, the Asset Management Advisor manages a set of assets holistically. Asset Management includes the management of commercial strategies including the coordination of implementation of those strategies, development, and coordination of asset optimization projects, tracking of profitability of the asset, contract understanding, landowner relationships, and general overall operational purview.  The Asset Management Advisor will have multiple assets under management potentially in different ISOs and different technologies (onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) assets).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Profit & Loss (P&L) for assets under management: Analyze P&L statements to identify key performance drivers and develop action plans to implement to optimize financial outcomes. Build and maintain gross margin assumptions for each asset to support annual business planning, business interruption insurance, and internal forecasting. Oversee and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with the company’s financial objectives. Collaborate with ENGIE Trading / Energy Management teams to define and provide a risk mandate for daily market bidding activities. Optimize financial performance of assets through strategic oversight and data-driven decision-making. Identify and pursue commercial opportunities to enhance value creation and overall asset profitability
  • Contract Management: Oversee all contract negotiations, invoicing, and payments, including managing (Power Purchase Agreements (PPA’s), relationship management, Asset Management Agreements (AMAs) and Operations & Maintenance Agreements (OMAs), Equipment purchase and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s), and Landowner payment management
  • Operations & Maintenance Planning: Monitor asset KPIs to drive operational improvements and align maintenance schedules with operational and commercial goals
  • ISO & Regulatory Coordination: Responsible for leading on ISO protocols, regulation, and market fundamentals, and engaging subject matter experts as required
  • Stakeholder Management: Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reporting for individual assets, ensuring accuracy and consistency of reports to management and partnership team, and ensure a high level of collaboration with other teams leveraging our organization capabilities (Operations, Finance, Legal, Trading, Power Marketing, and other organizational stakeholders)

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or similar technical or analytics-based program
  • Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience in asset management, energy markets, or in related energy sector (electricity, power, or renewables)
  • Commercial acumen with good understanding of business principles, contracts, and relationships including specific experience with power purchase agreements (PPAs) and operational agreements
  • Comprehensive understanding of energy market operations
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in Excel, and experience with dashboards and database visualization software (PowerBI, SQL)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders, along with good written and verbal communication abilities, and a desire to advance the adoption and deployment of renewable energy solutions

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 - $174,570 USD annually

The Project Developer supports a broad range of pre-construction development activities on projects within ENGIE’s utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada.   • Research and Compliance: Stay updated on industry developments, tax incentives, and technologies; manage permit applications and interactions with local, state, and federal agencies, including Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) submittals, and remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities and industry trends
  • Financial and Administrative Support: Develop project model underwriting assumptions, support off-take origination efforts, financing, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) discussions, prepare investment materials, and review pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted, and maintain database tracking project progress

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration, Finance, Energy, Economics, or a related field of study in which you have project development, permitting/planning, project management, or business development experience
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience, in renewable energy development or other project development fields, with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, economic, mathematics, or a related field
  • A minmum of seven (7) years experience in market risk analysis, hedging, or energy sector role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in data visualization tools and systems (Python, Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI) 
  • Familiarity with renewable energy markets

This Environmental Development and Permitting Intern role is an opportunity to work with a Global Leader in Renewables Development. The Environmental Intern will work to support ENGIE’s Development Pipeline in North America and help to ensure that Projects are following best management practices (BMPs) to minimize environmental impacts and maximize biodiversity value of commercial-scale Renewables Projects.

In this role the Intern will support biodiversity studies, surveys, and micrositing efforts to minimize wildlife and wetland impacts, and support the Senior Advisor on compliance obligations, preparing development projects for construction-stage efforts, and support the pursuit of federal and state permits where necessary. The Intern will have the opportunity to coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Land Use, and Engineering obligations.

  • Complete assigned training and follow all ENGIE safety procedures (9 Life Saving Rules)
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, and site visits to wind and/or solar sites
  • Communicate using email, TEAMS meetings and phone calls

As the Project Manager II, reporting to the Director of Capex, you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the Ohio State University campus for projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $15M.

 

Every day, you will report onsite to our office located on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, OH. You will simultaneously handle the ideation, development, approval, and execution phase for multiple projects. You will work in collaboration with our Capex team, university stakeholders, and technical stakeholders.

 


Other duties you can expect:

  • You will utilize new budgets and cost tracking devices to provide input to long-term financial planning, issue contracts, change contract orders, and process invoices
  • You will monitor project progress in design and construction phases through regular contractor and stakeholder interaction both virtually and in-person on work sites
  • You can liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or previous experience in industrial projects in lieu of engineering degree
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years’ of project management experience managing the scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout of projects
  • You possess or have the desire to obtain a PMP Certification
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors, including engineers, architects, and construction firms to develop and execute projects

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires daily attendance at a worksite
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to use a company vehicle and travel across campus to project sites

JOUW VERANTWOORDELIJKHEID als Teamleider Instrumentatie en Automatisatie

  • Je coördineert een team van specialisten instrumentatie en automatisatie (4-5 personen) dat instaat voor het onderhoud I&C op de sites in Vilvoorde, Drogenbos en Schaarbeek. Je staat in voor de begeleiding van je teamleden, voert regelmatig gesprekken en equipes, en je werkt mee aan de ontwikkeling van je medewerkers.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie van de verschillende I&C onderhoudswerkzaamheden zowel in dagelijks onderhoud als bij revisies.
  • Je bereidt de werkzaamheden voor, je coördineert de interne en externe partijen, je analyseert de risico’s, je verzamelt de nodige informatie, je legt de handelswijzen (instructies, procedures,…) vast, je definieert en zorgt voor het nodige materieel en middelen teneinde alle elementen te verkrijgen die nodig zijn voor een goede uitvoering van de werkzaamheden.

JOUW PROFIEL als Teamleider Instrumentatie en Automatisatie

  • Je beschikt over een diploma bachelor elektrotechniek, elektronica of een diploma HBO5 elektromechanica. Gelijkgestelde graduaatsopleidingen of minstens 5 jaar ervaring kunnen als gelijkwaardig beschouwd worden.
  • Je beschikt over een goede algemene kennis en ervaring in het domein van instrumentatie en automatisatie en bent bereid om deze kennis verder uit te bouwen.
  • Je beschikt over organisatorische en leidinggevende vaardigheden en weet mensen te motiveren.
  • Veiligheid komt bij jou op de eerste plaats.
  • Je bent oplossingsgericht en kan goed het overzicht bewaren.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van Nederlands en kan je behelpen in het Engels.

Job Purpose/Mission 

The Logistics Manager in Africa Operations is positioned at the interface between EEA country teams, and global functions that support the delivery of products to countries through EEA’s supply chain. In this role, you are responsible for managing logistics in all countries, propagating optimizations and efficiencies on cost and delivery, measuring effectiveness of distribution and delivery models in countries to ensure the smooth supply and on-time-delivery of products to service centers and sales points in countries to support the company’s revenue generation activities. This role seeks to enhance logistical efficiency, improve distribution and delivery capabilities, increase adherence to distribution policies and delivery guidelines, and monitoring potential improvements in logistics processes in and between EEA’s countries of operation.

This is an exciting role which requires creativity and strategic visioning as well as operational execution and working cross-functionally with our teams and external partners in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

In-country Logistics:

  • Establish the logistics community in EEA by building awareness around distribution, delivery and logistics mechanisms within the countries.
  • Enhance the logistics and distribution processes in countries by establishing the required tools, policies and guidelines and streamlined ways of working.
  • Analyze, identify, and implement (DMAIC) the scalable logistics models including the choice of in-house / outsourced (cost-benefit analysis) activities for the respective countries to ensure on-time and effective positioning of products in the last mile.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to minimize costs while maintaining high service levels across all 9 countries by identifying opportunities for cost optimization within the product delivery value chain to enhance efficiency and cashflow.
  • Lead collaboration with internal partners including sales, finance, operations in countries to enhance planning and the ways of working in delivery execution ensure timely and accurate product positioning in alignment with market demands.
  • Devise measures to increase traceability of products in the logistics value chain and reduce losses / damages in transit.
  • Devise and implement strategies to optimize EEA’s product time to market by increasing efficiency of logistics in the country, reducing delivery lead time, enhancing route to market for right place, and right time deliveries.
  • Develop visibility (through technology and other tools) to track end-to-end logistics for products in the value chain per shipment (at warehouse, in transit, in shops / service centers, in last mile, with agents).
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on logistics performance, cost savings, and strategic recommendations for enhancing in-country logistics.
  • Lead collaboration with external partners and 3PLs to negotiate with suppliers, transporters, and secure cost-effective and reliable services.
  • Lead learning and training needs for the logistics community in the countries; ensure all internal stakeholders are updated on policies, processes and procedures.

Africa Logistics:

  • Take custody of the inter-country stock transfers and reshuffles from the logistical perspective.
  • Coordinate with countries to ensure reshuffles are executed in a timely manner to avoid stock-out periods in countries expecting the inventory for sales.
  • Work with internal stakeholders such as S&OP, inventory management, Freight project management to devise effective methods to deliver the products across countries at minimum cost.
  • Ensure conformity to all requirements for export and import across the countries to enable smooth shipping, licenses, certifications, test reports, origin documents, customs declarations etc.

Knowledge and skills 

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in international supply chain, operations, and logistics.
  • Strong experience in service delivery strategies for operational enhancement and cost optimization.
  • Observance acumen with the ability to pinpoint opportunity areas and implement strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Excellent with analytics and tools for optimization; from selection, review, implementation and monitoring.
  • An ambitious leader with the ability to rally cross-cultural teams to deliver common objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain and develop new partner relationships (external bodies).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced logistics environment, with the ability to work independently.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, International business, or related fields.
  • Professional Certifications in supply chain, Transportation, and logistics e.g., CSCP, CLTD, CILT are important.
  • Masters in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management are an added advantage.

 

Language(s): 

  • English
  • French & Portuguese are a plus

 

 Technology:

  • Advanced MS Office User (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of distribution and delivery optimization and planning tools, ERP systems, and logistics software e.g., SAP, Sage, NetSuite, Oracle etc.
  • Working proficiency in data analysis to support critical KPIs and metrics.
