What You Can Expect
As the Senior Enterprise Architect in Houston, Texas, for ENGIE North America, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Renewable and Flexible Power and Local Energy Infrastructures business units. You will align technology investments with the company’s strategic goals, providing technology guidance, developing roadmaps, and establishing principles, standards, and best practices to drive business value. Your role will involve collaborating with business and Information Technology (IT) leaders to balance operational demands with long-term strategic vision, ensuring that technology decisions support innovation and efficiency. In this role, you will be a key driver in ENGIE’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) program, shaping the digital landscape to optimize performance and enable sustainable growth.
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management and Innovation, your duties will include:
- Enterprise Architecture Leadership – Define, guide, and oversee IT architecture to support corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. Develop and maintain enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, roadmaps, and governing principles.
- Governance & Compliance – Lead EA governance processes, manage architectural exceptions, and establish policies, standards, and best practices. Ensure technical solutions meet conceptual completeness.
- Strategic Consulting & Collaboration – Advise business and IT leaders on technology strategy, risks, trade-offs, and investments. Work with project teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture while accommodating project needs.
- Technology & Innovation – Support the adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, ensuring relevance and timely deployment. Drive innovation by optimizing technology investments.
- Communication & Training – Develop enterprise-level architecture communication plans, promote EA processes, and ensure organizational awareness. Define skill requirements for architecture teams, oversee recruitment strategy for the team, and lead training and development initiatives.
- Budget & Resource Allocation – Collaborate with senior leadership on budget allocation for architectural initiatives critical to business success.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations
- Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
- Requires exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles and processes, and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
