Heavy Goods vehicle driver. (TMA)

JOB PURPOSE:
The Truck Mounted Attenuator Driver (TMA Driver) will complete assigned traffic control task by driving a TMA to specified locations for lane closures on Abu Dhabi highways and other roadways. TMA Driver must be constantly aware of both the construction and traffic activity taking place around them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow all safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety PPE.

Drive Management of Traffic (MOT) vehicle to and from project and on work site.

Place arrow board or variable message board in work area.

Check work zone throughout shift to be sure items are still in their proper location.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Ability to lift 20-25kg weight. occasionally.

Proper work attire.

What You Can Expect

As our High Quality Water Treatment Operator  at the University of Iowa campus, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily route coverage to meet the high-quality water needs of on-campus clients. Your duties are customer facing and include monitoring, operating, and maintaining water treatment systems to provide specialized finished water for various operational needs at the University of Iowa. High Quality Water operates and services the public water systems at Oakdale Water Plant, and MacBride Nature Recreation Area, and various high quality water and pool/spa water systems across the campus. Processes include chlorination, PH adjustment, other chemical injection, water softening, filtration, reverse osmosis, deionization, distillation, and ultraviolet disinfection.  You will also conduct flushing and disinfection as required for new construction piping systems, performing sampling and chemical treatments to meet NPDES permit discharge requirements. You will conduct water quality sampling and record operational parameters to ensure quality water is delivered efficiently.  You will perform or coordinate equipment maintenance tasks identified on your rounds. Additionally you will read meters, and perform data entry for billing and regulatory reporting. Clean plants and grounds.

 

Your typical day starts with a morning meeting to discuss planned activities, review previous day's activities, and outline longer-term plans. Following this, you will commence your assigned route, which includes collecting samples, reading meters, and checking operating conditions of equipment such as pressures, water quality, and volume. Visiting customers with on-site equipment, making chemical adjustments, logging samples, and performing operational checks, and responding to outages or quality issues in the water systems. Maintenance tasks include flushing, disinfecting of process equipment, and other minor or preventative maintenance such as filter replacement and UV bulb replacement. You will utilize Maximo to track time and parts for billing purposes and complete vulnerability assessments. Additionally, you'll use Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook) to ensure compliance and document testing and services for local, county, state, and federal requirements

 

This role primarily operates during day shifts, with occasional requirements for nights, weekends, and holidays due to on-call duties or planned/emergency outages.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • This role requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Compensation

Salary Range:  $23.65 - $36.21 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

About MIRFA 2 RO Plant

Mirfa 2 Reverse Osmosis (M2 RO) Plant, uses RO technology to produce and supply up to 120 million imperial gallons, equivalent to 550,000 cubic metres of potable water per day to EWEC under a 30-year O&M Agreement with Mirfa 2 RO Desalination Company.

The M2 RO Water Plant is located adjacent to the existing Mirfa 1 Plant located at the Mirfa Complex five kilometers west of the town of Mirfa, about 100 kilometers southwest of the city of Abu Dhabi on the Arabian Gulf coast in UAE.

The expected date for starting commercial operations of the plant is November 2025.

JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the I&C Technician is to ensure plant I&C equipment are maintained to a standard that maximizes the reliability and availability of plant utilizing Work Instructions documented in the Maintenance Management System, OEM guidelines and under the instruction of the I&C Engineer.

SCOPE OF THE JOB:
These responsibilities represent the minimum expectations for the role; additional duties may be assigned as needed.

During Mobilization Period and prior to plant commercial operation date (PCOD):

  • Participate in plant commissioning activities, raising site observations & punch points, observe and report daily plant maintenance during early water production period.
  • Support O&M Manager in warranty and handover of plant from EPC resulting in smooth transition from EPC to O&M Team.

During O&M Period / post COD of plant:

  • Implementing day to day I&C maintenance activity and planned implementation of I&C maintenance practices in accordance with OEM, best engineering practice and contractual agreements.
  • Apply specialist I&C expertise to carry out fault investigations, defect and preventative maintenance, together with modifications on a range of plant.

  • Ensures that maintenance of all I&C equipment is in accordance with OEM Manuals and best practices for the equipment.
  • Reviews I&C Maintenance Procedures and suggests improvements.
  • Works to full potential and high quality of work.
  • Provide supervision to supporting maintenance staff and contractors to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient maintenance of the plant.
  • Support development and implementation of maintenance procedures to cover all maintenance work performed.
  • Supports the 24-hour operation by being regularly available for call-out at short notice.
  • Completes any planned maintenance work within time and budget.
  • Assists others to make decisions, to resolve plant maintenance problems.

About MIRFA 2 RO Plant

Mirfa 2 Reverse Osmosis (M2 RO) Plant, uses RO technology to produce and supply up to 120 million imperial gallons, equivalent to 550,000 cubic metres of potable water per day to EWEC under a 30-year O&M Agreement with Mirfa 2 RO Desalination Company.

The M2 RO Water Plant is located adjacent to the existing Mirfa 1 Plant located at the Mirfa Complex five kilometers west of the town of Mirfa, about 100 kilometers southwest of the city of Abu Dhabi on the Arabian Gulf coast in UAE.

The expected date for starting commercial operations of the plant is November 2025.
