About the Role: 

Join our dynamic Sales Support Team on a 6 month fixed term contract as a Sales Support Co-Ordinator.  You will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales Support Manager and Team Leaders, focusing on training, process improvement, and administration.

 

You will own a wide and varied level of administration processes across the Enterprise sales team, deputising for the Team Leaders at times within the business and with the team members. You will continually drive improvements within Sales processes and functions and  be the main support for team members with training, development and any problems or internal / external queries as and when required. 

 

This is a Hybrid role assigned to our Leeds office where the successful candidate would be based two days a week.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily workload and resource allocation for the sales support team.
  • Train new sales support members to a high standard.
  • Ensure data quality and timely input into systems.
  • Improve and manage sales processes and procedures, including NHH and Gas Matrices.
  • Facilitate effective communication across departments and participate in project groups.
  • Apply company people management processes effectively.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Job Purpose/Mission 

The Sales Operations Officer oversees day-to-day logistics and administrative operations including fleet management, field stock and asset control, vehicle maintenance, health and safety compliance, and coordination with field agents. The role supports the Agent Relations Officer in agent lifecycle oversight and ensures field teams have the operational tools and infrastructure needed to deliver on sales and collections performance.

 

Responsibilities

1. Fleet and Vehicle Management

  • Oversee company vehicle scheduling and ensure optimal fleet utilization for field coverage.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, service records, and repairs to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Track fuel usage, submit requisitions, and monitor consumption patterns to prevent misuse.
  • Maintain GPS tracking systems and review driving behavior reports to ensure safety and efficiency.

2. Field Stock and Ordering Oversight

  • Forecast and place stock orders based on field demand and sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams to ensure timely stock delivery to field agents.
  • Monitor daily stock movement, returns, and reconciliation against sales reports.
  • Flag inconsistencies or losses and escalate to relevant managers for resolution.

3. Agent Oversight Support

  • Support the Agent Relations Officer in coordinating onboarding logistics and tools setup.
  • Review weekly agent performance dashboards and flag underperformance or operational blockers.
  • Coordinate field visits, performance reviews, and feedback forums.
  • Ensure all agents have access to sales kits, branded materials, and mobile systems.

4. Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Ensure all staff and agents are oriented on safety policies and field SOPs.
  • Track compliance with PPE usage, incident reporting, and company safety guidelines.
  • Conduct periodic safety audits and vehicle inspections to reduce operational risk.
  • Support ethics training and follow-up on code of conduct breaches in coordination with HR.

5. Reporting and Field Coordination

  • Compile weekly operational reports covering fleet, stock, field support issues, and resolutions.
  • Escalate operational gaps to management with actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain a daily tracker of issues resolved, delays encountered, and emerging risks.
  • Support and follow up on leave planning.
  • Organize training and onboarding on commercial functions for new staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between teams and upper sales management.
  • Maintain documentation on sales processes, policies, and provide relevant sales training. materials to assist with onboarding new sales talent by the regional trainers.

Knowledge and Skills 

Experience:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in field operations, fleet or logistics coordination, preferably in PayGo, telecom, FMCG, or microfinance. 
  • Experience working with field sales agents and last-mile distribution environments.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, or related field.

Role:

  • Experience in identifying and acquiring land, optimizing grid connections, conducting environmental assessments, and applying for planning consents.
  • Experience in originating corporate PPAs and participating in CFD auctions.
  • Knowledge of EPC contracting structures and tendering processes.
  • Understanding of capital and O&M costs linked to PV, onshore wind, and batteries.
  • Conversant with investment principles and project financing.
  • Financial modelling experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project.
  • UK Driver's Licence and ability to travel nationally and to the EU.

  • Monitor channel results and market feedback to identify growth and development opportunities to create revenue opportunities

  • Manage the P&L for ENGIE’s matrix portfolio
  • Monitor Broker feedback and supplier matrix rankings with particular focus on the matrix pricing. Propose and help set margin adjustments to matrix pricing

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar discipline
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Retail Energy Sales, Marketing, Supply, or Structuring, including at least three (3) years of proven sales leadership managing direct and/or indirect sales teams within the energy commodities sector
  • You have experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Force Automation tools to support sales and client engagement efforts
  • You demonstrate strong leadership abilities and a high level of accountability, consistently driving performance and results
  • You understand organizational dynamics, including cross-functional relationships, and have the ability to lead and motivate teams toward achieving sales initiatives and goals

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

  • Develop individualized training plans for underperforming agents through trade accompaniment.
  • Develop new approaches and techniques for making improvements in training programs.
  • Measure the performance of trainees after the session.
  • Screen and recruit agents that have a commercial and Credit (collection) Personality.
  • Support the update of training materials.
  • Maintain and update records of training sessions.
  • Schedule training of new and old agents.
  • Stay updated with current market trends and the changing demands of the zone sale environment.
  • Support the zonal sales and collection manager in the management of the sales and collection agents, and area agent leads in the sales and collection activities to deliver targets.
  • Working with tight deadlines and providing valuable input on projects to enhance and customize training processes to exceed operational needs.
  • Diligently provide regular detailed status reports to your team while providing recommendations on corrective action if deliverables are in jeopardy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills

Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience within service subscription industry/Micro Finance/Asset financing leading a team.
  • Sales Success Track record
  • Loan Sales & Portfolio Management experience
  • Experience in the development of Sales Strategies and loan collection strategies
  • Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Experienced at multitasking under pressure against demands and deadlines, whilst always maintaining a positive and constructive attitude and demeanor
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and maturity
  • Flexible approach to working, able to pick up a variety of tasks/projects with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Agility and innovation

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree.
