About the role

 

We are looking for a Performance Analyst to join our UK Renewables team. The purpose of the role is to lead the assessment and monitoring of the UK Renewable Generation assets (wind, solar, and battery storage) to achieve key business objectives and optimise financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Review and report on the day-to-day operations of renewable assets.
  • Monitor sites for performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimise sites to improve performance and availability.
  • Manage contracts for all renewable assets in terms of availability and damages.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual operation and maintenance reports.
  • Coordinate the transfer of new build projects from construction/commissioning to full commercial operation.
  • Manage the integration of any operational assets acquired by the business.
  • Conduct engineering and cost analysis of proposed OEM upgrade opportunities.
  • Maintain records of all operational and maintenance activities for each asset.
  • Manage and optimize services provided under LTMA/LTSA agreements.
  • Meet Health and Safety, Environmental, Production, and Financial Targets and Improvement Plans.
  • Communicate with the Asset Manager Renewables UK and trading teams for effective plant optimization.
  • Manage relationships with key external third parties (e.g., maintenance providers, OEMs, grid operators).
  • Calculate availability and liquidated damages.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Data Science, or similar.
  • Experience in performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Knowledge of wind turbine engineering and wind farm operations.
  • Commercial awareness of the impact of turbine performance on project economics.
  • Experience in developing and using maintenance management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex data and report to stakeholders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in Python, statistical analysis (e.g., R), cloud-based computing, Power BI, and other dashboards.
  • Experience in dispute management/resolution.
  • Experience in performance assessment of solar and BESS.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and IT architecture for operational technology.

What You Can Expect

ENGIE’s Partnership Management organization manages both equity and tax equity partnerships within ENGIE’s Local Energy Infrastructures Distributed Solar and Storage(DSS) business. As the Partnership Management Analyst II you will be responsible for performance reporting of the joint ventures.  This will involve using and creating tools for the reporting and analysis of project performance, both operational and financial, and other related activities as it pertains to the Partnership’s. Additionally, develop a basic understanding of the partnership reporting requirements and key metrics. 

 

  • Coordinate cross functionally to respond to partner inquiries and ensure budgetary compliance with partnership agreements
  • Organize internal monthly reporting review and ensure timely and accurate distribution of reports to partners 
  • Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, data, asset management, risk, operations, finance, legal, tax, regulatory, technical accounting, treasury) and interface with the AIFA deal team to ensure budget compliance, address partner inquiries, and properly report on upcoming activities
  • Acts as the partner’s internal champion, ensuring that all team members are keeping the partner’s best interest in mind 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, or a total of six (6) years’ experience doing a similar role.

  • A minimum of 2 years of exposure to general accounting reporting, partnerships or customer relationships, and/or contract review experience
  • General understanding of renewable energy market trends
  • Proficiently in tools like Excel, Salesforce, and project-specific management systems to prepare and distribute accurate monthly reports

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $61,400 – $94,070 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

About the Role:

The Commercial Development Engineer delivers the technical detail required for National Grid (ESO) tenders for commercial market products for First Hydro. Example provided Mid-term Stability Product. Commercial products transform Pump / Turbine Unit capability and availability into income from market schemes proposed by National Grid.

These products are becoming increasingly technical as the ESO seeks confirmation of Unit capability, performance modelling under operational circumstance and compliance with Grid Code obligations. This delivery of technical detail requires the translation of tender requirements, confirmation that generators shall be compliant with product requirements and the submission of completed tenders to the ESO. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate tender requirements and determine the required electrical system and turbine / generator data to support compliance with the products. 
  • Establish and validate models to demonstrate compliance with product delivery and Grid Code compliance in line with tender requirements. 
  • Provide expert advice and direction within Electrical / Control Systems associated with Turbine / Generator and Electrical systems.   
  • Plan, direct and organise resources and manage contractors to deliver assigned projects in line with relevant tender requirements.  
  • Assess, select, negotiate, and manage contracts / assignments to provide technical / commercial support to tender requirements. undertaking the role of Technical Officer and Responsible Officer with limited supervision. 
  • Implement initiatives to improve the management of quality and ensure delivery of tenders is within the safe operating capability of the units and systems. 
  • Analyse and determine solutions for plant-level problems associated with the delivery of market products and ensuring compliance with Grid Code requirements.  
  • Act as a role model within own team and within multi-functional teams across the business for a positive and purposeful team working environment.   
  • Pass on own technical knowledge and experience to colleagues and peers to maintain and improve the business capability. 
  • Identify, interpret and ensure the compliance with tender requirements by developing local procedures

  • Valorização adicional de conhecimentos de Gestão Técnica Centralizada.

  • Je benadert proactief potentiële klanten om hun behoeften en verwachtingen in kaart te brengen en nieuwe opdrachten te detecteren.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen en onderhouden van een netwerk van externe partners, waaronder onderaannemers, ingenieursbureaus en publieke en private klanten.
  • Je leidt een tenderteam dat bestaat uit salesmensen, consultants en ingenieurs en coördineert hen om sterke, winnende offertes te presenteren. Je stuurt bij waar nodig.
  • Je stelt commerciële voorstellen op voor belangrijke klanten binnen de engineering- en consultancysector en zorgt voor strategische samenwerkingen.
  • Je bent technisch onderlegd en hebt expertise in samenwerkingen met publieke overheden in Vlaanderen (AWV, Lantis, De Werkvennootschap, provincies, steden, …).
  • Je analyseert de prestaties van je team op basis van rapporten en evaluaties en stuurt bij waar nodig om continue verbetering te garanderen.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met operationele teams binnen MCOM Infrastructure en helpt de strategische lijnen voor verdere groei uit te zetten.
  • Je stuurt je team van Business Development & Sales Managers en assistenten aan, en zorgt voor hun professionele ontwikkeling en motivatie.
  • Je focus ligt op Vlaanderen, Brussel en Wallonië, met mogelijke samenwerkingen in Luxemburg en Frankrijk.

     

We horen graag van mensen met
 

  • Een masterdiploma in (burgerlijk) ingenieur, ingenieur-architect, of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Minstens 5 jaar ervaring in complexe infrastructuurprojecten.
  • Minstens 3 jaar ervaring in business development en tendermanagement.
  • Een sterke klantgerichte en proactieve aanpak bij het opbouwen van professionele relaties.
  • Tweetaligheid (Nederlands/Engels), een goede kennis van Frans is een plus.
  • Een relevant netwerk binnen de sector is een voordeel.
  • Teammanagementvaardigheden en een coachende aanpak.
  • Gevorderde kennis van Microsoft Office; ervaring met CRM-tools zoals Salesforce is een pluspunt.
