Job Purpose:

  • The MEP Supervisor is responsible for the management of the MEP and CIVIL services and shall ensure support for the core business of the Gulf Data Hub organization.
  • The TM shall ensure that the organization has the most suitable working environment for the employees and their activities.
  • The TM is involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.
  • Focus on maintaining best business practice and improve overall efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  Responsibility

 

  1. Need to lead the team to complete the approved PM/CM for the month.
  2. Need to arrange/request the access for the approved subcontractor technicians.
  3. Need to arrange the materials, tools & consumables required for the service. 
  4. Need to prepare the work orders, service report, before & after each PM / CM activity accordingly.
  5. Organizing the subcontractor for the Quarterly/yearly PPM as per the approved schedule.
  6. Need to supervise the work and act as a liaison between the control operator, management, and technical team for the smooth operation of the activity.
  7. Ensure the tools at site are meeting standard of safety to operate.
  8. Respond appropriately to emergencies as they arise and do the recovery action with detailed inspection report preparation & follow-up with supplier for remedies.
  9. Need to track/arrange the technical refreshment training periodically for himself and his team.
  10. Prepare the roaster for the team to cover the shifts as per approved SLA.
  11. Should attend the meeting and training programs to give input to the management on the maintenance part.
  12. Need to be available 24x7x365, on call (if required).
  13. Attending the shift duty according to the duty roaster 24x7.

Other Requirements:

  • 5 - 10 Years’ experience as a technical engineer.
  • Either certified Fire Warden or First aider.
  • Backup for Facility Manager (PM & CM Management)
  • Backup for Technical Team.

  • Strong technical background, preferable include practical and hands-on.

Job Purpose:

MEP Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors.

 

Data center technicians provide an array of technical support to an organization’s data center. They help ensure that the servers are consistently running smoothly, but when they’re not running smoothly, data center technicians help problem solve and determine resolutions to avoid major downtime. With the virtual nature of data centers, security, reliability and availability are of utmost importance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major data center equipment.
  • Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment’s and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, ELV equipment.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility MEP systems.

Oya will be one of the largest hybrid energy projects in Africa considering the technology mix and size. The 128MW Oya Operations Hybrid facility will offer dispatchable renewable energy for the RMIPPPP programme. The Project will utilize co-located wind turbines, solar PV arrays, Lithium-Ion batteries and a hybrid controller that orchestrates all three technologies to provide dispatchable power to the grid as and when needed. 3. JOB PURPOSE
-    To oversee and monitor the Construction, Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning of wind / solar and Bess projects
-    Oversee quality systems, procedures, and documentation for the Project. Review and validate quality assurance and control plans of the EPC Contractor and Subcontractors.

 

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-    Build partnerships with key stakeholders on projects.
-    Conduct quality checks to ensure installation works follow project plans and commercial requirements.
-    Conduct site audits to prepare configurations and structures for system designs or integration with other energy solutions.
-    Conduct worksites safety checks.
-    Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety and quality assurance on sites.
-    Determine suitable locations for solar PV installation based on site visits and risk assessments.
-    Develop overall project management plans.
-    Develop staff through capability development interventions and on-the-job training.
-    Evaluate project progress on various projects.

Alongside routine inspections and serving as the main contact for landowners, you'll manage spare parts inventory, coordinate contractor work, and maintain cleanliness on-site. Gaining and maintaining GWO training is required, as well as participating in turbine climbing activities. You'll provide recommendations for operational and maintenance improvements, offer equipment operation training, and utilize Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques to address failures.   • Responsible for the Project and Site management work of Building Management System (BMS) or Control System for the Utility plant such as Chilled Water/ Steam/ Compressed Air.
  • Plan, oversee project works' schedule, Installation Sequence of Works and BIM in coordination with the Main-Contractor, ENGIE Project, O&M, FM Teams and sub-contractor.
  • Plan and execute Testing & Commissioning schedule in coordination with the Main-Contractor, ENGIE Project, O&M, FM teams, sub-contractor and Control System Application engineers.
  • To schedule deliveries of all materials for the project in timely manner.
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved and completed on schedule and meet project requirements.
  • Plan, submit and keep track of shop drawings' and materials' submissions.
  • Manage Internal and External Stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform site management for the delivery works, delivery inpections, installation works, installation inspections, testing and commissioning and handover of BMS and Control System to clients.
  • Act as site in charge for all BMS and Control System site works' related activities.
  • Supervise and Validate Sub-contractors' work and ensure safety requirements are adhered to at site.
  • Lead and guide junior engineers to build and commission BMS and Control System project.
  • Track and update project progress in timely manner.
  • Assist in servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems, live applications and associated networks as and when required
     

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma  in Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Automation / Building Technology)
  • At least 6 years experience in HVAC and BMS industry or M&E related fields.
  • Experience with BMS and Control System Testing & Commissioning
  • Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, OPC and other related protocols.
  • Knowledge of HVAC Control Applications, Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management Systems.
  • Ability to build and install BMS and Control System to monitor and regulate various building services, including chillers, heat exchangers, ACMV, lighting and power metering, etc
