Technical Officer
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, managing work orders, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Conducting routine inspections of premises, facilities and equipment.
Overseeing building related maintenance works and repairs (e.g. plumbing and sanitary works, painting works, tiling works etc.) performed by technicians and contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, providing technical support to technicians, and ensuring repairs are completed correctly.
Maintaining records of maintenance activities, preparing reports on progress, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Managing budgets, materials, and equipment, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Communicating with technicians, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and problem-solving.
Addressing customer complaints, providing feedback on maintenance needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ensuring adherence to workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties and activities as required including any other ad-hoc works as and when assigned by Facilities Manager.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Property & Facilities Management / Intelligent Building Technology / Facilities Management or equivalent
At least 2 years working experience in building maintenance
Preferably with experience in service and maintenance
Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians and manage their work effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Ability to plan, organize, and execute ad-hoc minor work projects.
Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
