Renewables Gases (part of ENGIE), manages multiple anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities throughout the South West region. These facilities supply eco-friendly energy to residences and businesses in the area.
Role
Full-time, Night Shift (48 hours per week, 6pm to 6am, including weekends).
Our operational teams are dedicated to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants. We have an exciting opportunity for a responsible and skilled individual to join our team at our Gorst Site (EX5 1AF)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the AD plant unsupervised outside of normal working hours.
- Monitor and respond to the company’s SCADA system to identify and rectify operational problems.
- Liaise promptly with on-call Plant Operators and the Plant Manager to ensure minimal disruption and safe operation of the plant.
- Coordinate with the on-call maintenance team to log and carry out maintenance work timely.
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance repairs.
- Operate the weighbridge.
- Accurately record operational and maintenance events in the company’s database for handover to day staff.
- Prepare routine performance reports.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Experience working in a similar operational site.
- Previous maintenance experience is desired.
- Experience operating a control room system.
- Previous experience of night shifts and lone working is desirable.
- Solid understanding of environmental and commercial issues affecting plant operations.
- Proficiency in monitoring via computer technology.
- Excellent IT skills with strong numerical, analytical, and diagnostic abilities.
- Full UK driving license.
- Preferred experience in operating a telehandler, tractor, or forklift (training provided).
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.

- A full clean driving license is essential
