Electrical Engineer
EMS (European Maintenance Support) is part of the ENGIE Group that executes specialized maintenance activities in different power plants in Belgium and Europe (mostly The Netherlands and France). Inside the Electrical Engineering team, we are currently looking for an extra Electrical Engineer (M/F/X).

- A permanent contract (38h) with a competitive salary package consisting of:
- A monthly salary according to your technical knowledge and experience. Annual salary increase in January according to scales of the energy sector.

YOUR MISSION as an Electrical Engineer
- You get the chance to build up knowhow, develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies in the field of maintenance on excitation systems and other electrical equipment such as static frequency converters, variable frequency drives, protection systems
- It is your goal to become an expert in the field in order to support both ENGIE and non-ENGIE sites.
- In order to become an expert you will:
- ensure the day by day technical support of the different electrical maintenance teams within EMS: 15 à 20% of your time.
- initiate and realize improvement and replacement projects on electrical equipment. play a key role in the preparation, execution and consolidation of overhauls on electrical equipment.
- conduct Root-Cause Analyses and define corrective and preventive actions in the case of incidents or non-conformities observed during outages.
- You constantly develop and consolidate your knowhow by driving internal return of experience processes and through participation to internal and external network events.
- You work as a team and in collaboration with different internal and external stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE as Electrical Engineer
- You hold a Master Degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering in Electricity/Power Systems/Energy/Mathematics /Physics.
- You have a professional knowledge of English and French or Dutch.
- You hold strong analytical skills, you are a problem solver and want to further develop your knowledge in the electrical field in order to become a reference in this domain inside and outside ENGIE.
- You’re a true team player who works together towards common goals.
- You are a good communicator and are able to collaborate with various types of people: both technicians and engineers.
- Previous experience with OEMs and understanding of grid requirements is a plus

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

- First interview with Nancy and n+1: Vasiliki Balafouti, the manager of this team. (Extensive introduction, testing soft and hard skills and completing online personality assessment and abstract reasoning skills).
- When positive, an external assessment center (via Hudson) will be organized.
- When selected, final interview will be organized with experts of the team.
