What You Can Expect
As the IT Advisor at ENGIE North America, based in Houston, TX, you will serve as a key link between IT & Digital and various business departments, supporting ENGIE’s zero-carbon transition in North America. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that enhance business insight and financial foresight, while also providing strategic guidance and project management in assigned areas. As a highly motivated leader, you will leverage your expertise in both financial consolidation and technology, integrating complex data to drive analytics, budgeting, and forecasting solutions that support ENGIE’s long-term objectives.
Reporting to the Applications Systems Manager, your duties will include:
- Serve as a key liaison between IT and Finance, addressing consolidation and reporting questions, issues, enhancement requests, and project deliverables
- Collaborate with stakeholders—including internal teams, external partners, and third-party software vendors—to deliver effective solutions
- Analyze, extract, transform, load, and model data and master data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Identify, analyze, and remediate data and master data inconsistencies, driving timely resolution with Finance and IT resources, especially during Close and Budget cycles
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, methodically improving data integrity and consistency
- Provide training and support to super users and end users, particularly during the budgeting process
- Develop a deep understanding of business verticals, horizontal functions, and support needs, ensuring tailored solutions
- Act as a backup for other Corporate Applications team members as needed
- Work effectively in a highly metric-driven environment, balancing both IT and business function requirements
- Adapt to evolving business needs, proactively taking on new assignments as required
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Information Technology and business operations, with a strong focus on designing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that enhance business insight, financial forecasting, and data integration
- Hands-on experience with consolidation platforms such as SAP BPC, SAP BFC, SAP Group Reporting, Hyperion, OneStream, or similar systems
- Proficiency in MS SQL and other scripting/query languages for data management and reporting
- Understanding of complex consolidation and elimination rules for both US GAAP and IFRS across US, Canada, and Europe
- Experience in financial consolidation within large-scale corporate landscapes, managing hundreds of legal entities
- Experience working under both Finance and IT teams, with a strong understanding of cross-functional collaboration
- Experience working with companies engaged in multiple business activities and partnerships
- Knowledgeable in financial reporting, partnership reporting, budgeting, and planning processes within complex business structures
- Advanced proficiency in Excel-based data analysis and transformation
- Knowledge of master data governance processes and lifecycle, including Accounts, Entities, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Hierarchies, and Allocations
- Ability to map business processes and translate them into functional and system requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both finance professionals and technology teams, including senior management
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of accountability.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a high level of intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
