Job Purpose/Mission   

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building, scaling, and maintaining our infrastructure. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, deployment, and monitoring of our applications and services. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and maintain reliable systems.   

Responsibilities  

1. Infrastructure Management 
   - Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS, Hetzner and, k8s.   
   - Maintain and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.  
   - Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using Terrafom, ansible, or similar tools.   

2. CI/CD Pipeline Development  
   - Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like CodeDeploy, GitLab CI. 
   - Automate testing and deployment processes to minimize manual interventions.   

3. Monitoring and Incident Management 
   - Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, ELK).   
   - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with system performance, latency, and scalability in real-time.   
   - Lead incident response processes, ensuring root-cause analysis and resolution.    

4. Security & Compliance 
   - Ensure compliance with security best practices (e.g., network segmentation, IAM policies, Firewalls, WAFs).   
   - Implement vulnerability scanning and automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines and provisioned Infrastructure.  

5. Collaboration and Mentoring 
   - Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth deployments.   
   - Mentor junior DevOps engineers and guide the team on best practices and modern tools.  

- Lead Design and implementation of System Architectures. 

6. Automation and Tooling   
   - Develop scripts to automate system operations and workflows (using Python, Bash, or similar).   
   - Improve processes related to backup, recovery, and system upgrades.   

Experience and skills    

Required experience and skills 

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.   

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.   

  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Codedeploy, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.   

  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking.   

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Graylog).   

  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).   

  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).   

  • Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development workflows.   

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in production environments.   

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd) or message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).   

  • Knowledge of security tools and frameworks (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, OWASP).   

  • Familiarity with log aggregation and troubleshooting distributed systems.   

  • Experience with cost optimization strategies on cloud platforms.

As the IT Infrastructure Manager you will be the driving force behind the core technologies that keep our growing organization running smoothly and securely. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and client systems (Windows and Mac)
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of Fortinet firewalls and other network security technologies to protect critical assets and data
  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of LAN/WAN network infrastructure in support of evolving business needs
  • Lead and support infrastructure-related IT projects—including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities—ensuring seamless system integration with minimal disruption to operations

What You Can Expect

Under the supervision of the EEMNA Risk Director, as a Middle-Office Analyst, Risk & Finance, you will be responsible for supporting daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) reporting, Profilt & Loss (P&L) validation, and sign-off monitoring. This role ensures the consistent and accurate publication of daily Risk & Performance Reports, assists in book structure management across multiple legal entities, and maintains strict adherence to trader risk mandates. By estimating and modeling various reserves (credit, liquidity, inception, model, intermittency, shape, volume), validating forward/settlement curves, and creating data-driven reports, this position is crucial in supporting the overall financial performance and risk management of the organization. Additionally, you will contribute to improving Middle-Office processes and enhancing reporting capabilities through tools like Power BI.

 

Daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) Reporting

  • Perform the computation and initial validation of daily MtM values for all trading books and products.
  • Ensure timely distribution and accuracy of MtM figures to key stakeholders.

P&L Validation, Attribution, and Sign-Off

  • Validate daily P&L results and provide clear explanations by desk, KPI, and book.
  • Monitor P&L sign-off, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and escalated as needed.

Risk & Performance Reporting

  • Assist in the publication of Daily Risk & Performance Reports, maintaining high data quality and consistency.
  • Develop or update KPIs and dashboards using tools like Microsoft Power BI to enhance visibility into operational and financial performance.

Book Structure Management (Multi-Legal Entity)

  • Collaborate with Front Office, Back Office, and Accounting teams to maintain accurate book structures across multiple legal entities.
  • Support efforts to keep book hierarchies aligned with organizational requirements.

Trader Risk Mandate & Reserve Calculations

  • Monitor trader risk mandates, ensuring limit usage is tracked and any breaches are promptly reported.
  • Contribute to the estimation, modeling, and computation of various reserves, including credit, liquidity, inception, model, intermittency, shape, and volume reserves.

Forward and Settlement Curves Validation (Price Control)

  • Validate and benchmark forward and settlement curves, ensuring consistency with market data.
  • Assist with overseeing exotic parameters such as hourly shape factors, scalar ratios, and B/A spreads for liquidity reserves.

Process Automation & Reporting Improvements

  • Participate in initiatives to automate Middle-Office processes, improving the accuracy and efficiency of data capture and reporting.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain Power BI reports, ensuring user-friendly interfaces and reliable data sources.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Front Office, Credit, Market Risk, and Operational Risk teams to manage exceptions and align on valuation methodologies.
  • Work closely with Legal, Finance, and Accounting to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on controls related to MtM, P&L, and reserve calculations.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of  bachelor’s degree where you completed in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in a Middle-Office or similar analytical environment within the energy or commodities sector (Gas and Power preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with MtM reporting, P&L analysis, and risk metrics (e.g., VaR, stress testing).
  • Proficient in ETRM systems (e.g., FIS Aligne) and advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of forward curve validation, price control processes, and exotic parameter management (shape factors, scalars).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with Front Office, Back Office, IT, and management.
  • Highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and take initiative on process improvements

 

 

 

Additional Details

The mission will take place within the Expertise User Solutions team of the ENGIE group. The consultant will manage solutions aimed at unifying all services around messaging solutions, specifically Exchange 2016/2019 and Office 365, and their integration within various Business Units, including the underlying migrations. As an architect and expert in Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC), Exchange, and Office 365, you will be expected to ensure significant practice of IT projects and the implementation and design of technical architectures. You will provide expertise on ENGIE IT's business, share feedback on similar implementation issues of IS architecture encountered in similar business or organizational contexts, and have an excellent sense of service, very good organization, and follow internal procedures at ENGIE.

 

What you will do:

 

          Incident and Problem Management :

  • You will resolve complex P4 (Low) through P1 (Critical) incidents efficiently to minimize business impact.
  • You will mobilize resources and coordinate effectively with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure timely resolution.

 

          Change Management:

  • You will design standard and normal changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • You will define and prepare a Detailed Intervention Plan (DIP), ensuring strict adherence to change management protocols and production processes.
  • You will implement changes during Business Hours (BH) and Non-Business Hours (NBH) as required.
  • You will continuously update and maintain technical documentation, including Operational Documents, to reflect accurate and current configurations.

 

Build and Go to run:

  • You will execute production-related tasks, including inventory updates, monitoring setup, backups, and regular maintenance.
  • You will automate deployment processes, develop reusable technical frameworks, manage configurations, and integrate them into operational tools to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.

 

               Documentation and Training:

  • You will update operational procedures in provided templates (PHB, PTE, PTI, etc.). This type of documentation gathers all the information concerning an application, from its design to its daily operational monitoring, including its installation.
  • You will present the progress of activities, the quality of work, and the achievement of expected results at regular and predetermined intervals using documents provided by ENGIE IT (Activity report, forecast planning, etc.).
  • You will write documentation to help resolve incidents following a template provided by ENGIE.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience;
  • At least 5 years of technical and design experience an M365 based environment in a complex infrastructure context.
  • Previous working experience with the following:
    • Exchange 2016/2019 + EXO, Office 365 for complex organizations.(Expert);
    • DevOps (Automation with PowerShell);
    • Entra ID Identity & Security (AADConnect, Modern Auth, Applications, Conditional Access, PIM, B2B);
    • Advanced DevOps (Azure Runbooks, Azure Functions, Git);
    • Office 365 Services (Planner, VivaEngage, SharePoint Online);
    • Microsoft Teams (App governance, policies, telephony);
    • Windows Server 2012-2016 and Active Directory;
    • Mail Gateway( Proofpoint,IronPort), Okta;
    • PowerPlatform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, preference 2);
    • ITIL standards;
    • ITSM : Service Now;
  • Proficiency (spoken and written) both in English and French;

The Enterprise Global Collaboration Services (EGCS) team is tasked with ensuring the availability, performance, security, and support of various production services provided to Local IT teams. These services encompass the Microsoft 365 collaboration platform, a cloud-based solution that includes the Teams Telephony environment, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration across the organization. Additionally, the email services include mail relay and secure email gateway services, ensuring reliable and secure email communication. The OKTA identity and access management platform, a cloud-based system, manages user identities and access, enhancing security and simplifying user authentication processes. The Active Directory Forest root domain is available both on-premises and in the cloud, providing a robust framework for managing user accounts and resources within the organization. Lastly, the On-Premise Exchange 2016 environment is utilized as an archiving solution, ensuring that important emails and documents are securely stored and easily retrievable.

 

What you will do:

 

          Incident and Problem Management:

  • You will resolve P4 (Low) through P1 (Critical) incidents efficiently to minimize business impact.
  • You will manage the safe and secure operation of the Group services production environment, most of which is cloud-based.
  • You will mobilize resources and coordinate effectively with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure timely resolution.
  • You will escalate issues to SaaS service providers (e.g., Microsoft Premier Support, OKTA).
  • You will automate support and administration tasks through scripting, primarily using PowerShell.
  • You will provide excellent support to the Local IT teams, handling approximately 2,500 tickets per month and 10 to 15 tickets per day per engineer, including both incidents and requests. This support will be delivered through an ITSM tool, email, instant messaging (Teams), and telephone (for emergencies only). This is not a Service Desk; it is a team of System Engineers providing 2nd/3rd line support to Local IT teams, including Service Desks, Helpdesks, System Administrators, and System Engineers.

 

          Change Management:

  • Execute standard and non-standard changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement changes during Business Hours (BH) and Non-Business Hours (NBH) as required.
  • Continuously update and maintain technical documentation, including production handbooks, procedures and knowledge base Articles for team members and Local ITs, to reflect accurate and current configurations and ways of working.

 

Build and Go to run:

  • You will provide expert technical advice for changes to existing services or the introduction of new services.
  • You will raise and escalate risks and issues as soon as they become apparent, as well as propose plans to mitigate them.
  • You will automate deployment processes, develop reusable technical frameworks, manage configurations, and integrate them into operational tools to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.

 

               Documentation and Training:

  • You will keep the knowledge of team members current through technology watch, training, and other methods.
  • You will update operational procedures, ensuring they reflect current best practices and meet organizational standards.
  • You will support the Service Delivery Managers in service review meetings with the Local IT teams.

 

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience;
  • At least 3-5 years of technical experience with the M365 environment in a complex infrastructure context;
  • Experience in delivering IT support;
  • Experience at implementing processes and driving change in general;
  • Experience in writing technical documentation, IT procedures, operational reports and user guides;
  • Experience of delivering exceptional customer service;
  • Previous working experience with the following:
    • Windows Server 2019+,  Active Directory and associated Microsoft technologies;
    • Basic networking, Domain Name System (DNS) and IT security knowledge;
    • Microsoft Office 365 suite and its administration (Teams, SharePoint Online, VivaEngage, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform etc.);
    • Microsoft Exchange Online & on-premises (Exchange Server 2016) concepts and administration;
    • Email routing protocols (SMTP), antispam & other email security mechanisms (Proofpoint; Edge; EOP);
    • OKTA Platform;
    • EntraID and AAD Connect;
    • Powershell scripting;
    • ITIL and IT Service Management best practices in general, as well as ITSM tools (ServiceNow);
    • Microsoft Office software suite;
    • PowerBI;
    • Manage servers on Azure IaaS;
  • Proficiency (spoken and written) both in English and French;
