Purpose of the role

We are seeking an IT & IS Manager to oversee the management, planning, and operational delivery of Information and Communication Technologies on site. The successful candidate will develop and maintain the Information Security management system and the cyber security posture of the company, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements for both Corporate and Industrial Control Systems areas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Information Security management system and cyber security posture.
  • Implement ENGIE governance requirements into local policies, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide digital solutions and continuous development work streams for all platforms managed by Storengy UK.
  • Manage infrastructure and development programs and projects.
  • Contribute to the leadership of Storengy UK, sharing experiences, informed opinions, challenges, and knowledge.
  • Drive the delivery of Storengy UK strategy, ensuring achievement of objectives and targets.
  • Collaborate with other departments, teams, Storengy entities, the ENGIE UK Hub, and the Network GBU.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with external and internal suppliers.
  • Deliver accurate monitoring and reporting across statutory, contractual, and organisational KPI requirements.
  • Manage the IT budgeting process, ensuring accuracy of data provided and ongoing monitoring.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer to play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity measures. Based at the Dinorwig Power Station in the heart of Snowdonia, you will work closely with our engineering, production, and business departments to ensure the power stations are always ready. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

 

*You must be eligible to work in the UK and have been a resident in the UK for the last 5 years. This role will be subject to National Security Vetting.*

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a cybersecurity system based on ISO27001 standards.
  • Monitor cybersecurity within projects, ensuring necessary actions and measures are followed.
  • Lead the monitoring and management of Information Security risks.
  • Collaborate with ENGIE Information Security Teams to develop strategies for securing industrial assets in line with internal policies and external regulations, including NIS regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Experience in development of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation of RDBMS, Data warehouse star-schema models, entity relationships to 3NF, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes
  • Experience in design, implementation of data architecture and data modeling solutions, which include the use of relational, dimensional, hierarchical and NoSQL databases
  • Expert in data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices including good understanding of canonical data modeling concepts
  • Experience working with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models

Compensation

Salary Range:  $26.58 – $40.74 USD hourly

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.  In lieu of education requirements we will accept a combination of years of experience and other education experience for the role
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of proven expertise in application management, managing complex application portfolios including end-to-end lifecycle management (development, deployment, maintenance, and retirement)
  • Strong background in IT strategy and optimization, demonstrated ability to align technology solutions with business objectives and optimize performance to meet organizational goals
  • Hands-on experience in data governance, developing and executing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance
  • Familiarity with operational technology (OT) systems and the ability to effectively bridge IT and OT requirements
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects in matrixed organizations, within dynamic, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders

Compensation
