Director, Communications
The Role:
This role will oversee and manage all communication strategies and initiatives within the organization. You will be pivotal in ensuring consistent and effective communication across internal and external channels, enhancing the organization's reputation, and fostering employee engagement.
Role Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Oversee the creation and distribution of internal communications, ensuring alignment with company culture and values
- Ensure engagement globally across regions and functions for all levels of employees.
- Share information, celebrate success, accompany change, and federate people.
- Communicate employee engagement actions and progress across the organization: Informed employees are four times more likely to be engaged in the workplace.
- Facilitate collaboration, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Use various communication channels: Emails, newsletters, videos, company meetings, intranets, etc to disperse important information.
External Communications:
- Understanding of working in a matrixed organization and successfully collaborate with other businesses units internally to ensure compliance and consideration in the way we communicate both internally and externally to support our brand.
- Strong Vendor management experience with external partners as required.
- Ensuring a global perspective when managing communications in different markets
- Leading and managing strong partner, channel, and customer communications, including a crisis communications, product informs, etc.
- Use various communication channels: Social media, emails, videos.
- Support external employee brand presence
General Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Lead and develop a cohesive communications team successfully in both a remote and in office environment, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure coordination throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure cohesive messaging.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.
- Create and manage budget and report on spending against budget and forecast.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis: Inform communication strategies by understanding the market and competitors
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in one of the following fields: Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, business or a related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred in one of the following fields: Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, business or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications, with a focus on both internal and external communications to align an organization and build a culture/ brand both internal and external.
- 5+ years of experience in people leadership experience.
- May consider a combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities in lieu of educational requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and analytics tools.

The target pay range for this role is $128,000-$195,000.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
