Contexte:

Le centre d'expertise Strategy, Communication & Sustainability  ("EC SCS") du GEMS recherche un alternant "Analyste -  stratégie et decarbonisation".

 

Le centre d'expertise Strategy, Communication & Sustainability a pour objectif de permettre aux entreprises et aux parties prenantes de GEMS d'avoir un impact positif sur les personnes, la planète et les profits, et de construire un avenir durable. Le département est composé d'un mix d'experts juniors et seniors, favorisant la transversalité et travaillant en mode projet avec beaucoup d'autonomie, pour aborder conjointement des projets clés proches du business.

Role:

En tant qu'analyste en stratégie et décarbonisation vous vous attaquerez à des questions complexes liées à la stratégie, à la transformation durable de GEMS et à la décarbonisation. Avec les coéquipiers, vous réalisez des études stratégiques, faites de la veille stratégique, soutenez le développement d'une stratégie durable du GEMS, communiquez la stratégie aux GEMSers et soutenez les autres équipes du département. 

 

 

Missions principales :

 

  • Identifier et sensibiliser à des sujets prospectifs stratégiques et durables : publier régulièrement des articles de veille stratégique sur des sujets stratégiques clés pour GEMS afin de suivre et d'anticiper de manière proactive l'évolution des tendances du marché, des technologies, de la concurrence, des politiques, et leur impact potentiel sur les activités et les ambitions de GEMS.
  • Contribuer aux études stratégiques et élaborer des recommandations stratégiques pour accélérer les activités de GEMS.
  • Soutenir l'équipe stratégique dans la coordination des projets et réflexions stratégiques en cours et à venir au niveau du groupe.
  • Clarifier, expliquer et partager la stratégie de GEMS pour les collègues de GEMS et d'ENGIE.

 

Activités transversales - Contribution aux travaux du Centre d'expertise

Le fonctionnement même du Centre d'Expertise favorise la contribution croisée et/ou la co-pilotage de projets qui servent l'intérêt général de GEMS. Vous pourrez contribuer activement à :

  • Divers projets et sujets en collaboration avec les filières RSE, Carbone, Communication et Innovation.
  • L'organisation d'événements/ateliers pour les équipes
  • La communication digitale pour amplifier la portée des initiatives clés.

  • Vous avez la capacité de produire des travaux écrits et des présentations d'un haut niveau de qualité.
  • Maîtrise de la suite MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, réunions Teams, Outlook)

Parcours académique et expériences:

Especialista Senior de Asuntos Regulatorios 

 

 Tus principales responsabilidades serán:  

  • Hacer seguimiento y difusión de los procesos regulatorios y de la emisión de nuevas normas relacionados con los mercados donde participa ENGIE.  

  • Liderar el subcomité de seguimiento de normas legales y participación en las reuniones de reporte al ExCom.  

  • Evaluar y/o coordinar con las demás áreas la evaluación de los impactos de los cambios normativos (en proyecto o definitivos).  

  • Coordinar la elaboración y remisión de las observaciones, apelaciones y/o recursos, entre otros documentos, ante las autoridades y entes regulatorios.  

  • Liderar el desarrollo de propuestas de perfeccionamientos regulatorios. Incluye el análisis de mecanismos de incentivo de los marcos regulatorios de otros países.  

  • Brindar soporte regulatorio en las actividades conducidas por las demás áreas que requieran. Incluye la participación en los Comités correspondientes. 
     

¿Qué necesitamos de ti?  

·         Indispensables:  

  • Ingeniería Eléctrica, Mecánica – Eléctrica o similares. 

  • Diplomado o similares en Regulación o Economía de la Energía.  

  • Conocimiento de: Marco regulatorio del Sector Eléctrico (Leyes y Reglamentos), Reglamento del Mercado de Corto Plazo, Procedimientos regulatorios de Osinergmin, Marco regulatorio de Gas Natural.  

  • Dominio de Windows y herramientas de Office: MS Excel, MS Word y MS Power Point avanzado.  

  • 4 años en cargo similar, 7 años de experiencia laboral total 

·         Deseables:  

  • Inglés 

  • Deseable Maestría en Regulación o Maestría en Economía de la Energía.

SUMMARY:

 

The Energy Procurement Manager is a mid-level position providing comprehensive energy procurement services by supplying product recommendations, market analysis, pricing evaluation, and contract management to ENGIE Impact clients.  They are experts on all deregulated energy markets, independently providing these services for clients throughout North America.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide energy procurement consulting services to each assigned client; including, but not limited to: RFP development, market assessment, risk management, strategy development, contract negotiation, contract management, and product management
  • Independently develop and maintain contacts within a client organization
  • Demonstrate an authoritative and consultative approach that builds support within the client organization
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of regulatory markets
  • Meet regularly with clients, including in-person visits and teleconferences
  • Communicate with utilities, local distribution companies, and energy suppliers to gather timely, accurate, and complete energy market intelligence
  • Explain and educate clients on difficult energy market dynamics and metrics
  • Assist in development of new energy procurement products and marketing materials
  • Oversee Regulated Rates Monitoring & Optimization product for subscribing clients

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Four-year college degree strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of PUC, utility rules, regulations and tariffs;
  • Experience with internal Energy Supply Management workflow and platforms preferred

Experience: 

 

 

  • Four years of energy procurement experience, either buying or selling retail energy.
  • Utility experience or knowledge of utility bill calculations preferred

Skills/Abilities:

 

 

 

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skill level required
  • Solid presentation development and delivery skills
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible, adaptable and self-motivated

ENGIE Supply and Energy Management Global Business Unit is responsible for all trading and risk management activities for a portfolio of electricity, natural gas, environmental products, and bulk commodities for the various ENGIE BUs and external customers in both, domestic and international markets The Market Risk team within Supply & Energy Management Risk & Finance is responsible for the measurement, control, and reporting of all market-based activities as well as the strategic management of risk capital across these activities, notably the trading & portfolio management activities of Supply & Energy Management, the B2B Retail Supply organization and the Renewable Assets owned by ENGIE North America.

 

As an integral member of the Supply & Energy Management Risk & Finance Group, you will work with Supply & Energy Management Front Office and Risk teams and other stakeholders to provide analytical, market intelligence and strategy support focused on evaluating various risk management strategies and optimizing Profit & Loss (P&L) within the risk mandates.

 

As a Market Risk Advisor in Houston, You will report to the Portfolio Analysis Director and you will work with Commercial and Risk teams to provide analytical, market insight and strategy support focused on evaluating various risk management strategies and optimizing Profit & Loss (P&L) within the risk mandates.

 

  • Propose, evaluate, and validate commercial strategies that manage the value / risk balance of the various retail supply / renewable energy portfolios (power, gas, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)) managed by Supply & Energy Management and other GBUs (Global Business Units) individually and collectively (e.g. reducing basis risk, managing intermittency, etc.) Perform periodic and ad-hoc analysis
  • Identify and develop appropriate cost/risk bricks to value PPAs and support investment analysis
  • Work with Commercial and Risk Teams to develop models for valuing complex structured transactions and perform post-processing modeling and analysis using Excel and other computing platforms
  • Research and analyze subjects including historical and forward market prices, market fundamentals, customer load analysis, financial forecast variances and advise internal stakeholders in terms of general structuring advice as well as optimization of returns throughout the transaction process
  • Develop, enhance and maintain tools, methodologies and reports that evaluate pricing and risk assessment of various commercial transactions  
  • Use benchmarking data to support valuation and competitive assessments, and create a benchmarking process to evaluate actions undertaken by front-office
  • Build, maintain and publish internal models for tracking and evaluating asset-specific performance metrics
  • Identify and recommend risk reducing offsets and efficiencies in avoided bid-ask spreads and credit across the ENGIE portfolio
  • Perform economic analyses of structured transactions (EVA) to support Origination & Structuring activities of Supply & Energy Management front-office and other business units
  • Collaborate and participate in knowledge sharing with various stakeholders and Expertise Centers (e.g. Risk, MAS - Markets, Assets & Supply); support Commercial, Origination  and Business Development activities, offering views on ISO’s market fundamentals (Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), Pennsylvania New Jersey Maryland Interconnection (PJM), Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), ISO New England (ISO-NE)), Renewable Energy development and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) pricing opportunities, price vs. renewable production dynamics, etc.
  • Track, collect and synthesize actionable market intelligence. Assess impact of regulatory developments on commodity risk positions and provide feedback back to the front office.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of four-year degree in which you completed courses in an analytical and quantitative (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math) or other related discipline
  • A minimum of seven years of general business experience with minimum three years of relevant experience in Competitive Energy Markets, preferably dealing with Renewable assets including BESS and/or Retail Supply books
  • Advanced modeling capabilities using Excel+VBA, SQL, Python, R, or any other data analysis tool
  • Hands-on experience handling large datasets with ability to structure, organize, process, and cogently present analysis to leadership.
  • Knowledge of financial derivatives and commodity markets (gas, power, and environmental products)
  • Resourceful with ability to use a variety of tools, data sources, and systems; inherent curiosity to procure and test new resources
  • Experience in the structure, transactions, and protocols of wholesale and retail energy markets ideally under a variety of regulatory systems
  • Knowledge of a portfolio approach to valuation, where assets sit within an integrated value chain
  • Analytical profile, ability to provide precise and solid insights, identify causes and conditions, structure action plans, and propose and defend those to the leadership
  • A focus on deadline-driven project management skills for cross organizational coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and limited oversight
  • Team player comfortable operating in matrixed structure and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to develop cogent reasoning to defend analyses and perspectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

Your Mission
As Project Controller in our Tractebel Middle East team, based in Riyadh, KSA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial excellence across our projects. You will work closely with project managers, finance teams, and key stakeholders to drive the financial performance of the region while ensuring compliance with group standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
•    Collaborate with the Finance Controller (FC) and CFO to integrate and align the finance organization in the Middle East with group standards, systems, and best practices.
•    Provide support and constructive challenges to project managers to enhance project performance.
•    Regularly review project status, comparing budgets with available estimates and ensuring accuracy.
•    Consolidate and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, KPIs, and budgets across entities.
•    Ensure the implementation and monitoring of financial reporting systems, project account codes, and timesheet processes.
•    Take accountability for timely, qualitative statutory reporting and reconcile local financial statements with group reporting.
•    Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely client invoicing in collaboration with the projects team.
•    Analyze financial elements such as SG&A, working capital, CFFO, risks, opportunities, and foreign exchange impacts.
•    Stay updated on new regulations, particularly regarding finance, accounting, and tax matters, and assess their impact on the organization.
•    Contribute to compliance with Engie Tractebel group’s finance and accounting policies across the Middle East.
•    Support business development by ensuring accurate project accounting representation and integration within the region.

Your Qualifications
•    A university degree or equivalent in accounting or finance.
•    Additional certifications like CPA, CFA, ACCA, or an MBA are a strong plus.
Your Experience and Skills
•    At least 4 years of experience in finance (e.g., business control, accounting, consolidation, internal audit).
•    Experience in consulting is preferred.
•    Proficiency in creating budgets and reports.
•    Familiarity with complex, multicultural organizations.
•    Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; SAP knowledge is a significant advantage.
•    Strong analytical reasoning and organizational skills.
•    Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
•    Proven ability to manage shifting priorities and perform under tight deadlines.
•    Solid interpersonal and networking skills, coupled with creative problem-solving abilities.
