Client Success Representative

  • Independently establish and maintain strong business relationships with a designated portfolio of clients within a high-volume product family. Resolve escalated client issues and proactively identify opportunities to better serve clients. Will serve as liaison between internal team personnel and client for all invoice management activities. 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership/ Financial Accountability/ Client Engagement/ Decision Making/  

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships. 

  • Effectively resolve escalated client issues with minimal guidance from supervisor with both the company and client in mind. 

  • Provide feedback and guidance to vertical team members in support of client needs 

  • Translate customer needs to internal vertical team members and other teams including but not limited to Finance, IT, Procurement 

  • Responsible for technical support including web training, reporting, and questions from internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Organize and lead conference calls both internally and externally. 

  • Participate and answer questions during the client on-boarding process. 

  • Contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews for clients. 

  • Provide clients with data insight through invoice. 

  • Maintain internal information databases and SharePoint sites in order to effectively serve our clients. 

  • Participate in and assist with client tours. 

  • Maintain current day-to-day service deliverables, while assessing client needs for up sell opportunities. 

  • May support clients through the billing process during challenging business changes while maintaining a balance of client and company needs. 

  • Facilitate and follow through to completion any modification requests to internal client data.  

  • Provide guidance and leadership to other team members, including technical training and feedback, and client management coaching. 

  • Backup team members to achieve team goals as needed. 

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred  

  • 2 or more years of customer-related work experience; prefer business-to-business experience

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external personnel and adapt to audience

REQUIRED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

The pay range for this role is: $19.65-$33.24. 

 

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. Job Description

 

The overall purpose of the job is to;

 

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Engie Impact global service offering to deliver excellent client experience
  • Manage designated global client accounts to ensure contractual obligations are delivered in accordance with the terms of existing contracts
  • Take responsibility for overall client satisfaction and the retention of the account at renewal (including management of supply tenders)
  • Build strong client relationships across UK/EMEA through regular communication
  • Work with internal cross functional teams to support on client service delivery
  • Ability to work with a CRM system to maintain client contacts for new growth and referral opportunities
  • Maintain good level of UK/EMEA Energy market knowledge; become respected internally and externally as a source of expert advice
  • Manage development, and support delivery of detailed mobilisation plans
  • Assist the global operational delivery teams with ad-hoc and regular requests for support in meeting client SLA’s
  • Support the Engie Impact P&L by maximising sales revenue, managing account debt, communicating potential operational profitability and introducing the client to new Group products and initiatives

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually

ENGIE Supply and Energy Management Global Business Unit is responsible for all trading and risk management activities for a portfolio of electricity, natural gas, environmental products, and bulk commodities for the various ENGIE BUs and external customers in both, domestic and international markets The Market Risk team within Supply & Energy Management Risk & Finance is responsible for the measurement, control, and reporting of all market-based activities as well as the strategic management of risk capital across these activities, notably the trading & portfolio management activities of Supply & Energy Management, the B2B Retail Supply organization and the Renewable Assets owned by ENGIE North America.

 

As an integral member of the Supply & Energy Management Risk & Finance Group, you will work with Supply & Energy Management Front Office and Risk teams and other stakeholders to provide analytical, market intelligence and strategy support focused on evaluating various risk management strategies and optimizing Profit & Loss (P&L) within the risk mandates.

 

As a Market Risk Advisor in Houston, You will report to the Portfolio Analysis Director and you will work with Commercial and Risk teams to provide analytical, market insight and strategy support focused on evaluating various risk management strategies and optimizing Profit & Loss (P&L) within the risk mandates.

 

  • Propose, evaluate, and validate commercial strategies that manage the value / risk balance of the various retail supply / renewable energy portfolios (power, gas, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)) managed by Supply & Energy Management and other GBUs (Global Business Units) individually and collectively (e.g. reducing basis risk, managing intermittency, etc.) Perform periodic and ad-hoc analysis
  • Identify and develop appropriate cost/risk bricks to value PPAs and support investment analysis
  • Work with Commercial and Risk Teams to develop models for valuing complex structured transactions and perform post-processing modeling and analysis using Excel and other computing platforms
  • Research and analyze subjects including historical and forward market prices, market fundamentals, customer load analysis, financial forecast variances and advise internal stakeholders in terms of general structuring advice as well as optimization of returns throughout the transaction process
  • Develop, enhance and maintain tools, methodologies and reports that evaluate pricing and risk assessment of various commercial transactions  
  • Use benchmarking data to support valuation and competitive assessments, and create a benchmarking process to evaluate actions undertaken by front-office
  • Build, maintain and publish internal models for tracking and evaluating asset-specific performance metrics
  • Identify and recommend risk reducing offsets and efficiencies in avoided bid-ask spreads and credit across the ENGIE portfolio
  • Perform economic analyses of structured transactions (EVA) to support Origination & Structuring activities of Supply & Energy Management front-office and other business units
  • Collaborate and participate in knowledge sharing with various stakeholders and Expertise Centers (e.g. Risk, MAS - Markets, Assets & Supply); support Commercial, Origination  and Business Development activities, offering views on ISO’s market fundamentals (Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), Pennsylvania New Jersey Maryland Interconnection (PJM), Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), ISO New England (ISO-NE)), Renewable Energy development and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) pricing opportunities, price vs. renewable production dynamics, etc.
  • Track, collect and synthesize actionable market intelligence. Assess impact of regulatory developments on commodity risk positions and provide feedback back to the front office.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of four-year degree in which you completed courses in an analytical and quantitative (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math) or other related discipline
  • A minimum of seven years of general business experience with minimum three years of relevant experience in Competitive Energy Markets, preferably dealing with Renewable assets including BESS and/or Retail Supply books
  • Advanced modeling capabilities using Excel+VBA, SQL, Python, R, or any other data analysis tool
  • Hands-on experience handling large datasets with ability to structure, organize, process, and cogently present analysis to leadership.
  • Knowledge of financial derivatives and commodity markets (gas, power, and environmental products)
  • Resourceful with ability to use a variety of tools, data sources, and systems; inherent curiosity to procure and test new resources
  • Experience in the structure, transactions, and protocols of wholesale and retail energy markets ideally under a variety of regulatory systems
  • Knowledge of a portfolio approach to valuation, where assets sit within an integrated value chain
  • Analytical profile, ability to provide precise and solid insights, identify causes and conditions, structure action plans, and propose and defend those to the leadership
  • A focus on deadline-driven project management skills for cross organizational coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and limited oversight
  • Team player comfortable operating in matrixed structure and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to develop cogent reasoning to defend analyses and perspectives

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

  • This position is responsible for completing complex research on client accounts; is responsible for resolving bill payment edits and data, calculating and tracking billing discrepancies, in addition to working closely with other team members, vendors, and some direct client communication. Using multiple systems, the role resolves pre-identified errors and sends consolidated bills to payment 

 

This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours of work per week.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership/ Financial Accountability/ Client Engagement/ Decision Making/  

  • Searching each account for any payment inconsistencies or errors including, but not limited to: 

  • One-time charges, miscellaneous edits, re-evaluate edits, deposits, etc. 

  • Overlap (Rebill Edits) 

  • Post consolidation reviews 

  • Resolve exceptions on electronic file invoices 

  • Collaborating with vendors to investigate and resolve: 

  • Potential water leaks 

  • Cost and consumption edits 

  • Collaborating with vendors to investigate and resolve urgent disconnection notices, including, but not limited to: 

  • Requesting extensions to protect accounts from negative action 

  • Obtain any missing invoicing 

  • Update/correct data as needed 

  • Confirmation of payment settlement 

  • Process urgent payment to secure safety from disconnection 

  • Maintain accurate general ledger coding allocations, vendor codes and any other file related data 

  • Perform manual consolidations as needed
