We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to support efficiently the expansion of our activities in Water (such as Large and Small Hydroelectric schemes, Dams and Reservoirs, Water Transfer, River Hydraulics). Under the responsibility of the Vice President in charge of Water, you will be fully responsible for delivering the structural part of Water related consulting & engineering projects, with a major of focus on hydropower and dams project, with the support of a team.
 

You will be integrated with the Tractebel Energy community, a worldwide network of Energy specialists keen on sharing their knowledge.
 

All your missions have to be performed with the highest standards of Quality / Safety / Legal / Ethics.
 

Missions

 

  • Perform the structural studies (FS, Tender, Detailed Design) of major hydropower and dam projects, ensuring that the projects assigned to you will be executed in accordance with our quality system and our H&S rules and with the highest level of International Standard.
  • Contribute to the development of FEM model and studies on dedicated software.
  • Ensure the technical level of proposal according to the client’s expectations and the high standard of Quality and Safety.
  • Work together with colleagues, external partners (such as other design and engineering consultancies, contractors during the construction phase, etc.) and clients in a constructive way.
  • Have an international mindset and collaborate with our offices abroad for certain engineering tasks and take the necessary actions to guarantee the required quality.
  • Manage the activities of Draftsman, Junior Engineers, Subcontractors/Partners regarding your scope of the project.
  • Keep up with the standards, guidelines and new techniques and developments in your discipline and report these to your team members or colleagues.
  • Actively promote and establish BIM collaboration procedures according to our company vision where applicable.

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline, preferred in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 10 years minimum of professional experience in Structural Engineering (water resources, water supply, water transfer and piping, hydropower, dams or irrigation).
  • Sound technical background in large water infrastructures.
  • Solid computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, AutoCAD, and multiple engineering design and document control software)
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of an intercultural and interdisciplinary team or independently as required.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and autonomous.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.

What You Can Expect

As a VP Finance Business Control, you will administer the finance function of ENGIE Energy Marketing North America, Inc (“EEMNA”).  The primary functions of this role include forecasting and reporting on the financial results of EEMNA activities in the US, and implementing controls to ensure the accuracy and transparency of those financial results.  In addition to financial controller duties, you will participate in strategic financial planning, liquidity management, and leadership in new initiatives. You will have significant communication with all Supply & Energy Management (“SEM”) functions as well as the financial functions in the North American shared service center and Paris. 

 

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of periodic financial reports to local management, Supply and Energy Management (SEM) financial function, and limited external users.  Reporting also includes gathering of KPI’s and KRI’s to provide operational context to financial statement users.  Coordinate with technical accounting and ENGIE group expertise centers to make sure EEMNA activities are presented in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
  • Financial Strategy and Planning:  Oversee the preparation and presentation of annual budgets and forecast updates.  Participate in and develop financial assumptions for long-term strategic planning, including the impacts of acquisitions and divestitures.  Develop reporting metrics for local management to quantify the risk and return of specific business activities 
  • Internal Controls:  Design, confirm implementation and coordinate testing of internal controls, both financial and operational, for all entities under EEMNA scope
  • Audit Support:  Coordinate all EEMNA audits, both external and internal ensuring timely delivery of audit requests and validation of audit findings
  • Support Function Coordination:  Coordinate with GBS (Global Business Support) and Hub support functions to insure adequate delivery of service.  Insure these functions are informed timely on changes to EEMNA’s operations and transaction requiring shared service support. 
  • Financial Management:  Develop cash flow forecasting and work with North American treasury team to maintain adequate capitalization and predictable utilization of the cash pool.  Manage postings to utilities and state authorities to support retail sales activity
  • Participate in special projects, merger, acquisition and divestiture activities, and the structuring of large transactions on an as-needed basis

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 10 years finance experience and 8 years working in energy commodity markets
  • Understanding of power and gas markets and associated products used to trade both traditional and green power in deregulated US markets

As the Field Technical Trainer Advisor, you will develop and conduct technical training programs for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage technicians.   • Develop, conduct, monitor, test and score technical training programs for all internal wind, solar, and battery energy storage technicians based on their technical abilities
  • Establish relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and measure feedback
  • Coordinate training schedule with Regional Operations Directors to meet the training demands of the company
  • Select and/or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
  • Conduct training sessions covering various specified areas including on-the-job training, refresher training
  • Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training
  • Travel and perform on-the-job training on various platforms of Mega Watt (MW) class wind turbines and MW class invertors
  • Develop reporting on the progress of employees under guidance during training periods
  • Report to senior management on training performance and provide recommendations on process improvements in work environments and training procedures
  • Own all aspects of classroom instruction including preparation, consumables re-order, inspections and logging of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and devices


What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned practical training skills, making it ideal for developing and delivering training programs, renewable energy, or industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors or equivalent Military experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in the renewable energy (wind/solar) industry or a combination of degree, education, industry experience or military service will be considered
  • Must have experience teaching, setting and developing wind turbine and / or solar technician-related curricula and maintaining training materials on prudent industry best practices for the solar and / or wind industry
  • Experience training theory in the areas of electrical safety, qualified electrical work, convertor/invertor, hydraulic and mechanical
  • Ability to engage with all students in the classroom, understanding the core elements of adult learners
  • Capable to be flexible and meet the changing needs of a dynamic, growing company
  • Capable of directing and defining new training programs based on the needs of the company and industry
  • Experience in project management
  • Demonstrates a positive, collaborative attitude toward internal and external customers

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis

Compensation

Your Mission 

Tractebel is seeking a Mechanical site Supervisor for a project located in Mejillones (at Engie Mejillones Complex).
The selected candidate objective will supervise the correct execution of the Mechanical/Piping site works in a Power Plant reconversion project.
It will act as the site owner's representative, maintaining a direct relationship with the subcontractors, site manager, Tractebel engineering team and Engie (the Owner) team.

 

Main Roles
 

  • Review the Mechanical and Piping field engineering and construction documents.
  • Track and report subcontractor's progress.
  • Asure the conformity of the construction with the technical drawings and applicable codes and standards. 
  • Supervise the quality of construction. 
  • Promote and assure a safe working environment by supervising the compliance with the approved safety measures during the execution of the works.
  • Propose solutions to daily interference problems during on-site assembly. 
  • Register, report and track deviations and quality issues from the contractor by means of non-conformity reports.
  • Support the engineering team to find last minute engineering/construction changes and interferences.
  • Support Site Manager during meetings, reports, and site inspections.

 

Professional Requirements

  • Mechanical/Piping/ Process Engineer degree or related degrees
  • Experience: Over 7 years in field Mechanical/Piping inspection works
  • Knowledge Chilean Mechanical normative
  • Availability to work in the field (Mejillones)
  • Spanish speaker with advanced English (part of our team members and EPC contractors are English speakers)

What You Can Expect

As the Workplace Technology Manager, you will oversee the technology systems that support our workplace. This role involves managing hardware and software solutions, ensuring seamless integration of technology into daily operations, and leading initiatives to improve employee productivity and satisfaction through technology. Your day will start with overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workplace technology systems, including printing and video conferencing systems. You will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure effective use of technology tools. Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends, you will recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance workplace efficiency. You will lead technology projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Additionally, you will lead and participate in IT projects, including Merger & Acquisitions (M & A) activities, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Training, mentoring, and managing a team of technicians to ensure high performance and professional development will be a key part of your role. You will cultivate and maintain a customer-centric service culture within the IT department, ensuring exceptional support and satisfaction for all users.

 

This position will sit in Oakland, CA and report to the Director of IT.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a four (4) year degree with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years proven experience in managing workplace technology systems and infrastructure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Expertise in Microsoft Teams for desktop and room video conferencing and collaboration
  • Experience building reports with helpdesk systems to manage departmental workflows
  • Experience with software deployment and system management
  • Experience with end-user information security tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with vendor management and procurement processes
  • Experience with IT asset management

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel locally up to 10% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive incentive plan.

Context:

As Short Term Trader, you will play a pivotal role within the Short Term Trading desk, organized within the Short term Power as a Service.

The mission of Short Term Trading is to maximize  the revenues of  the ENGIE  power portfolio within the CWE region and maximize the value of intraday trading activities in the developing pan-European Intraday markets. As an intraday trader, your key responsibility is to multitask and be able to take decisions on a very short time frame based on a large dataset.

These activities are executed within a sub team of 9 people organized continuous 24/7 and taking up both Trading & optimization activities.

You will interact very closely with the Algorithmic trading development team.

 

Role:

In the role of Short Term Trader, you will be responsible for: 

  • Maximizing the CWE power portfolio revenues in intra-day, including renewable management, sales exposure and asset flexibility
  • Leveraging on our market expertise in order to maximize the value of our trading activities.
  • You will act as a single window to the intraday Market in order to cover the real time physical needs of our clients and re-optimize the asset portfolio against the intraday power market prices.
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenues and minimize the costs for our clients over the different time horizons of the short term chain
  • Develop cross-maturity models which can serve the portfolio of assets, intermittency, DSM and develop efficient strategies to capture trading opportunities on those different markets.
  • Delivering 3rd party services for external Customers.
  • Ensuring correct and timely delivered reporting of portfolio and market activities.
  • You work in a 24/7 shift system.

You will report on a regular basis to the Head of Short Term Trading.

 

Profile:

What You Can Expect

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be the first line of technical support for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues for 300 local and remote users. Your day will start with responding to support requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and other software. You will assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems will be part of your routine to ensure optimal performance and security. You will also deploy new hardware and software, including imaging and configuring new devices. Collaboration with the Workplace Technology Manager and other IT team members will be essential to identify and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure. The Talent Management Centre of Excellence (COE) lead is responsible for shaping and executing a cohesive talent management strategy that aligns with EEA’s overarching business objectives.
