Context:

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist works within the HR department of the Global Energy Management & Sales business unit, under the supervision of the Head of Compensation & Benefits. The Compensation & Benefits department is composed by 6 other team members, based in Belgium and France.

He/she is in charge of Compensation and Benefits initiatives & projects while ensuring the operational management of the reward processes, policies and practices contributing to attract, retain and motivate high-quality employees while enhancing GEMS as the best place to work.

Role:

  • Grading referent for the entire organization:
    • Ensure the compliance with pay transparency directives
    • Deploy job grades and architecture, ensuring that all jobs are graded and up to date
    • Define and maintain the appropriate grading governance
    • Train and support the HRBP and recruiters on defining the appropriate job grades on recruitments, moves and promotions
    • Contribute to the design of C&B policies and processes as well as their proper communication in order to contribute to their dissemination and understanding among managers & employees
    • Work with Talent Management teams on career path
  • Benchmarking referent for the entire organization:
    • Participate to the benchmark surveys on job matching and grading methodologies (mainly WTW and Aon McLagan)
    • Conduct benchmarking analysis to secure competitiveness in the market
    • Define and deploy comparatios
    • Implement comparatios in our reward tool beqom (in collaboration with beqom Project Owner)
    • Define and provide salary grids for local HRs
    • Provide advice to HR Partners and Business Leaders on best practices and policies C&B and support the Talent team in the context of complex package offers
    • Provide market trends on the niche environment

 

  • Participate in transversal C&B projects (IT tool for digitization, benchmarks centralization with the other countries, gender pay gap, benefits policies, etc.) and other possible HR missions

Purpose of the Job

 

The Recruiting Sourcing Coordinator plays a critical role in the hiring process in identifying hiring needs and sourcing exceptional candidates who align with ENGIE’s vision and goals. The Recruiting Sourcing Coordinator specializes in finding and attracting potential candidates for job openings by attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, initial screening, and candidate communication.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  1. Source Candidates & Talent Pipelines
  • Actively search for potential candidates using various techniques (job boards, social media, career pages, Boolean searches, etc.).
  • Utilize alumni networks and employee referrals.
  • Engage with candidates and crafting recruiting emails.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Target critical roles within the energy sector and actively source diverse profiles.
  • Focus on building female talent pools and candidates from diverse nationalities.

 

  1. Screen Resumes & Applications
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiting team to understand job requirements.
  • Use Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to scan resumes and cover letters.
  • Evaluate and match candidates profiles to relevant job requirements.
  • Create shortlists based on position requirements.

 

  1. Schedule Interviews
  • Schedule interviews for shortlisted candidates with recruiters and/or hiring managers.
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires.

 

  1. Support Recruiters & Managers
  • Handle administrative tasks related to recruiting.
  • Free up recruiters to focus on engaging candidates.
  • Stay updated on current recruiting methods.

 

  1. Utilise Recruiting Tools
  • Effectively use recruiting tools, such as SEZAME (ATS), LinkedIn, and talent mapping.

 

  1. Quantifiable Achievements
  • Provide qualitative insights to the recruiting team and hiring managers, emphasizing the impact of the role.
  • Track and measure sourcing strategies using metrics, such as reduced time-to-fill, increased candidate quality, and conversion rates.

Experience

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The HR Manager (Talent Management & OD) is responsible for the organizational development, talent management, culture, learning, recruitment and engagement & retention activities at country level. 

Responsible for country wide design, governance and delivery of ; 

  • Managing a diverse talent pool of Employees and support them to grow to their full potential and contribute to the HR strategy of the company.
  • Drive implementation of effective functional programs, processes and activities related to Talent Management, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Employee engagement and retention for all business.
  • Deploy ENGIE corporate initiatives and cascade across entities of South Africa.
  • Responsible for management and coordination of Talent and Learning modules of SEZAME.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent and Performance Management

  • Develop and manage a talent and performance management framework.
  • Design an integrated process to ensure the effective management of development programs.
  • Provide systems and processes to business to conduct performance reviews, compile individual development plans and performance agreements.
  • Manage the identification and implementation of succession plans.
  • Analysis, reporting, monitoring and interpretation of data.
  • Provide support to business during formal review cycles.

People Position Review (PPR)

  • Ensures and records ongoing performance and development conversations between Line Managers and Employees and keep a record of past performance and expectations for work moving forward.
  • Organize and participate the People Position Review discussions and the regional calibration process. Collate and analyse data and work on action plans derived from this process

  • Nomination and validation of new Boosters, coordination with Hub Talent managers

Career Discussions / Individual Development Plans

  • Manage and coordinate the development journey for the key people & talents (Boosters, key people) including 1:1 coaching sessions with participants.

Employee Assessment

  • Develop psychometric and competence assessment processes to ensure the standardisation of criteria used for assessment.
  • Ensure compliance to HPCSA code of practice, standards and legislation.
  • Continuously monitor the utilisation of assessment material to ensure standardised delivery of assessments within legal and policy standards.
  • Management of preferred providers.

Job Design

  • Drafting roles to obtaining sign off within the governance framework.

People Management

  • Review and approve labour plans around operational targets.
  • Provide leadership and inspire team members towards high performance.
  • Ensure team members have an Individual Performance Agreement and Development Plan in place and that it is updated timeously.
  • Create opportunities for development through participation and involvement in new business or technology enhancement projects for team members.
  • Provide coaching to team members on an ongoing basis.

  • Develop learning experiences that satisfy identified operational and strategic needs in the country.

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resource Management /Industrial Psychology
  • Registration as Industrial Psychologist with HPCSA ( preferred)
  • At least 10+  years’ experience in Human Resources of which 3 should have been at a management level and experience in functional/specialist area.
