What You Can Expect

As the Operations Manager for 225 MWAC power plant situated in Gail, TX, called Long Draw Solar, you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of the site. In your capacity as lead of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. Additionally, you will handle the troubleshooting of Balance of Plant (BOP) switching, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) functions, and communicate with landowners and local communities.

 

Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising two technicians. Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Renewables Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-site.

 

  • May need to provide technical and management support for the operations of the wind farm site
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Manages a safety program that ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public, employees, and equipment
  • Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma/ technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills

  • Must have five (5) years’ experience in a related industry where you have experience with industrial electrical equipment, power generations, thermal generations, line, and utility scale equipment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in leadership or supervisory role of technical, operations or maintenance personnel
  • Working knowledge of wind power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
  • Must be physically capable of entering and working in a confined space (crawl spaces, shafts, small enclosed areas) as well as work at various heights and in adverse conditions during operations, shutdowns, and in fire/emergency activities
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses
  • Knowledge of using equipment suitable for lifting up to 50 lbs, if necessary 

 

 

Additional Details

  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions to support other sites
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Compensation

Salary Range: $91,295 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

The Commissioning Engineer is part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering all aspects of facility start-up, commissioning, testing, and handover to operations for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.   • Coordinate and technically supervise all commissioning activities to bring BESS facilities from the end of construction into fully safe, stable, and reliable operations by identifying all required startup, commissioning, and testing activities, and execute a Commissioning Plan for their completion and provide input to the project’s design and execution plan by  ensuring that commissioning activities can be completed safely and efficiently to achieve the project’s budget and schedule
  • Review all BESS project permits, agreements, licenses, registrations, and contracts (including ISO and TSP requirements) to identify all data to be collected and activities to be completed and documented during commissioning.
  • Ensure all required submittals are made and reviews are completed in a timely
  • manner by the relevant stakeholders 
  • Review all relevant QA/QC documentation during project construction to identify issues  and adjust the Commissioning Plan during project execution.
  • Work with the stakeholders internally and externally as necessary to correct project work prior to the start of commissioning activities or to adapt the commissioning activities to the changed project conditions
  • Work with the Project Stakeholders to ensure the projects are properly closed out, and issues/claims are addressed and, ensure that the commissioning team prepares and submits completed handover documentation for the operations and maintenance managers for their teams to participate in the Projects continuous improvement and return on experience activities, and lead those activities with respect to startup, commissioning, and testing activities

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in management, engineering, science, or technology related field 
  • A minimum of five (5) years working experience with a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience related to the development, design, and construction of complex energy/electrical projects and a minimum of three (3) years of direct involvement in the commissioning phase of complex energy/electrical projects
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead, manage, and direct multi-discipline teams during the commissioning phase of a BESS or other complex electrical project
  • The ability to be flexible and adjust to changing project conditions, develop and present alternative solutions to problems, and recommend a course of action 
  • A solid competency in team management and strong experience in the commissioning of complex projects, particularly electrical energy projects 
  • The ability to spend 100% of their time on site during the startup, commissioning, and testing phase of a project.
  • This will require travel for several weeks at a time being based away from the base location during these periods 
  • An excellent working knowledge of technical software such as, SCADA systems, EMS, etc., and standard office software such as MS office, Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, and other software such as ArcGIS, GreenIT, SAP, and Procore

As the Senior Advisor of Power Marketing (Renewables Power Origination) you will be responsible for originating new business in defined regions in the United States and Canada by developing new and existing customer relationships, communicating ENGIE’s story and key attributes of potential product offerings, and proposing and structuring renewable energy transactions for the company’s wind, solar, energy storage development portfolio.   • Every day in this role, you will secure long-term power sale agreements with utilities and corporations to support the financing and build out of new renewable and / or energy storage projects.
  • Actively manage and build relationships with existing and new customers in the chosen customer market segments
  • Evaluate requests for bids, lead bid strategy and lead a team for bid preparation, competitive analysis and manage participation in procurement processes
  • Prepare proposals and presentation materials for customers and buyers
  • Seek opportunities and deal structures that allow for bilateral transactions with customers
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of power sale agreements
  • Drive transactions toward closure
  • Coordinate and lead internal approvals throughout the bid process, from initial offer to management approvals, including presenting to renewables leadership committee
  • Collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s project development and delivery team, and ENGIE personnel in other departments and business lines that engage with utility or corporate customers,
  • Ensure that the project attributes that are important to customers are shared with development team
  • Prepare template presentation and proposal materials for customers and their buyers to support the origination effort
  • Lead establishment of strategy, pricing, and structure of deals
  • Lead the internal support teams though all aspects of the complex sales process through to closing

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or related field of study where you have learned contracts, negotiations, business administration, or similar based program

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in energy industry; preferably in renewable energy with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in power origination
  • A solid track record of success in a development or sales capacity in the clean energy sector securing long term power sale agreements on renewable energy projects with utilities and corporations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, structure, negotiate, coordinate, and execute power sale agreements together with internal and external advisors
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets
  • Working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations, electric transmission and power generation and storage technologies
  • Team first mindset, with focus on collaboration and ability to reach a common goal
  • Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Ability to prepare marketing materials, presentations and proposal materials needed to pitch origination opportunities to customers
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail

Role:

 

  • Originate deals on Japan power physical and financial products.
  • Understand the various drivers of the Japan power market  and global energy markets (oil, gas, power, macro, carbon, regulations, among others). Deliver actionable outcomes to sales desk and our clients
  • Work closely with Japan Power trading desk to ensure timely pricing and market updates to the sales desk and to the client
  • Manage  relationship with clients (daily commentary, price indications, data processing, reporting, etc.)

  • Studii superioare tehnice finalizate cu diplomă de licență, cu specializările: Instalații pentru construcții sau Inginerie de petrol și gaze;

  • Permis de conducere categoria B;

Responsabilidades de la posición:

 

  • Instalar, configurar y actualizar sistemas operativos y software utilizando paquetes empresariales estándar.

What You Can Expect

As the High Voltage (HV) Program Manager within ENGIE North America’s Flexible Generation (FlexGen) Business Unit, your role involves managing the High Voltage equipment within the company’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets across the USA. To complete this, you'll be tasked with planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance plans across various high voltage equipment.

 

Reporting to the Asset Operations and Management Director, your primary duties encompass:

 

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on High Voltage equipment health throughout the BESS project lifecycle, focusing on the operational stage but supporting commissioning and design groups as needed
  • Develop and implement planned maintenance programs, policies, and procedures ensuring alignment with various operational best practices and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate internal and external maintenance technicians for reactive maintenance
  • Prepare and submit reports to internal teams, documenting findings and areas for concern
  • Provide training and guidance to operational staff on requirements and best practices
  • Assess pre-operational project documents, designs, and plans for HV best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders industry partners to address compliance issues and ensure alignment with regulatory standards

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline; In lieu of the educational requirement, we will accept a minimum of 7 years of experience working with High Voltage electrical equipment
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in power industry; experience with BESS or renewables projects is preferred

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
