ENGIE Zielona Energia is one of ENGIE’s entities located in Katowice. We sale energy to domestic business customers, we also offer PPA solutions (long term contracts with 100% renewable energy).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercialization & Sales of Biomethane and Derivatives
Lead biomethane commercialization processes, including sales to industrial, transportation, and grid clients.
Negotiate and conclude BPA agreements and framework contracts (including cross-border deals – import/export).
Manage the client portfolio and identify new business opportunities, particularly in heavy industry and the public sector.
2. Regulatory Compliance (EU & Local)
Manage technical aspects of Guarantees of Origin (GoO) trading related to biomethane (sale and purchase).
Monitor regulatory developments in EU and national legislation (e.g. RED II / RED III).
Ensure accurate registration and reporting in national and EU registries (e.g. URE in Poland).
3. Market Strategy & Competitive Intelligence
Develop and implement market entry strategies.
Analyze the competitiveness of the company’s biomethane offering.
Identify and interpret key trends in pricing, regulation, and market demand that affect margins and growth.
4. Stakeholder & Institutional Relations
Maintain strong relationships with industry partners, B2B clients, traders, aggregators, and market regulators.
Represent the company at industry conferences, regulatory forums, and strategic events.
Co-develop joint products and solutions with partners (e.g. hydrogen derived from biomethane).
5. Cross-Border Team & Cluster Coordination
Facilitate collaboration between the Polish and German teams.
Work closely with central departments to co-develop an integrated biomethane cluster across regions.
6. Reporting & Commercial Performance Analysis
Report key sales metrics, volumes, margins, and KPIs to the Management Board and SEM.
Prepare commercial and financial analyses, including sales forecasts, pipeline planning, and P&L assessments.
Create trading models factoring in price volatility of feedstock, energy, CO₂, and grid/delivery tariffs.
Assess regulatory impacts on commercial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy, biomethane, gas trading, or energy markets.
Strong knowledge of biomethane markets, regulation (including RED II/III), and GoO systems.
Proven track record in B2B sales, contract negotiation, and cross-border trade.
Experience in commercial modeling and P&L management.
Excellent communication skills in English (Polish and/or German a strong advantage).
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to business development.
