For our Technical Trainee Program starting on the 1st of September 2025, we are looking for Technical Trainees (M/F/X) for our EMS (European Maintenance Services, part of ENGIE Generation Europe) which is responsible for the specialised maintenance of power plant turbines, alternators, high-voltage installations and boilers, among others. 

 

WE OFFER YOU as Technical Trainee (M/F/X)

A 24-month rotation programme where you will  :

  • Extensive on-the-job training and coaching by a mentor, senior experts and managers
  • Further expand your technical knowledge as you will be doing maintenance in various Engie power plants and battery farms in Belgium and abroad (mainly France and the Netherlands).
  • Through 4 varied missions in different maintenance sequences, find out what interests you most as a technical: working on large rotating equipment (gas and steam turbines), high and medium voltage equipment, boilers, pumps and fans and smaller aero-turbines 
  • Starting together with 3 other trainees with whom you can exchange experiences and knowledge
  • Get a permanent contract with:
    • a monthly indexed basic salary on top of which you will receive numerous bonuses depending on your work regime (shift premium), weekend work and/or overtime (allowance and compensation in leave days) and place of employment (mobility bonus)
    • an end-of-year bonus, double holiday pay and collective bonus
    • a service vehicle, mobile phone and data plan
    • meal vouchers
    • 33 days of leave and compensation days for weekend and overtime

 

YOUR PROFILE as Technical Trainee (M/F/X)

  • You followed a professional bachelor or graduate degree in mechanical/electrical/electromechanical engineering/energy technology/process technology/electromechanical systems
  • You are a recent graduate or have 2 years' experience maximum
  • You speak English, Dutch and/or French and are willing to learn the other national language.
  • You are flexible in terms of working hours and place of employment. You are willing to do shift/weekend work during missions and to travel 30% of your time.
  • You are in possession of driving license B

Due to an internal move, we have a wonderful opportunity, for an Application Support Analyst to join our Application Support team in ENGIE Retail. You will report to the Applications Support Lead, ENGIE Retail, and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

 

The Application Support Analyst will support the efficient management of ENGIE applications, working with third-party vendors. This will include identifying and resolving incidents and problems, escalating as appropriate and administrative and maintenance tasks associated with the applications.

 

Your  success in this role will leverage excellent knowledge of ITIL and a passion for solving problems with an ability to prioritise. You will be proactive and possess a positive attitude.

 

 Responsibilities will include:

  • Triage, troubleshoot, and escalate system application issues in an effective and timely manner
  • Daily management of support queues and prioritisation of support requests; identify and implement solutions to application system incidents
  • Track and document incidents, requests, and resolutions through the ticketing system
  • Work with IT support teams and vendors to resolve critical incidents and service disruptions
  • Lead incident investigations and implement work-arounds and solutions
  • Be prepared to participate in a 24/7 roster with regard to incidents raised outside of business hours (1 week in every 8 weeks roster)
  • Participate in the testing of new releases and updates to identify potential issues before production deployment
  • Serve as a liaison between the application users and technical teams to communicate application-related issues and improvements

What You Can Expect

Our Meters and Controls Supervisor based at the University of Iowa Main Campus in Iowa City, IA.  Will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician staff related to the operations, maintenance, and repair activities associated with the Utility Network and metering systems.

 

Daily you will be providing assignments for our Team of E&I Technicians, and providing coordination for work performed by other disciplines such as network and controls engineers,  cybersecurity analysts, and trades including electricians, steamfitters, and contractors. You will be using your knowledge and experience to build, supervise, and train our team who installs, operates, troubleshoots, and maintains the Utility Network and associated systems focusing on the primary goals of safety, reliability and stewardship. You will determine jobsite work sequences and safety procedures required. You will procure materials, coordinates outages with customers, direct work and direct unplanned outage restoration activities.

 

  • You will provide all supervisory support for direct reports such as ensuring that all regular scheduling, On-call emergency response scheduling, PTO or vacation, or other time off work operations, and that team members are properly documented for payroll and attendance records
  • You will proactively address issues as they arise
  • You’ll participate in the filling of vacancies
  • You will assist the operating staff in responding to (attend) any operational incidents or emergencies on a 24/7/365 basis
  • You will recommend staffing plans to provide enhanced quality and efficiency of service delivery
  • You will provide technical and coordination support to capital projects which impact the Utility Network systems
    • Work with project teams, other internal departments, contractors, and end users to coordinate related work
    • Review design documents and provide QA/QC during construction or maintenance activities to ensure compliance with design standards and departmental standards. Works proactively providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • You will support and help drive a robust maintenance management program focused on preventive and predictive maintenance utilizing the full capabilities of our CMMS system
  • You will Implement corporate policies, procedures, and directives
  • You will interpret and assist with maintenance of system logs, drawings, and documentation on utility systems

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of an Associate’s (AAS) degree in Automation & Instrumentation (A&I) or Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), Other/similar technical programs of study may be considered
  • In lieu of AAS degree specified as above, A High School diploma  and two (2) years of direct work experience with industrial automation and controls may be considered
  • You must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial automation and controls in addition to the above requirements
  • You must have a valid state issued driver's license, this role requires operation of company vehicles
  • Knowledge of utility systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of tools and methods necessary to troubleshoot and maintain utility network and control systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the trade

Programar y controlar la ejecución del mantenimiento y planificar cambios en el mantenimiento en la ventana de tiempo definida para programación, con el fin de asegurar la priorización y ejecución de los trabajos de mantenimiento, apalancando los objetivos de disponibilidad de nuestros activos.

Preparar y aupervisar el presupuesto de gasto e inversión de activos renovables, con el fin de contribuir al cumplimiento del ciclo de compras de bienes y servicios relacionado a estos activos, planificando actividades spot según los requerimientos del sitio, dando soporte administrativo en la gestión de contratos, inventarios de repuestos y resultados del activo, además de otros requerimientos administrativos, siendo de vital importancia la gestión en el CMMS

 

Funciones:

  • Coordinar el proceso de programación del mantenimiento en los sitios, con el fin de contribuir con la priorización y el control de la ejecución de los mantenimientos preventivos, correctivos, servicios spot, o proyectos en los sitios, realizando la programación de tareas, tiempos y presupuestos, reportando los estados de avance
  • Participar y realizar todo el ciclo de compras de bienes y servicios, con el fin de emitir la solicitud de pedido, realizar el seguimiento de las órdenes de compra y recepción de materiales, emitir las hojas de entrada de servicios, monitorear los pagos coordinando con áreas relacionadas, realizando el seguimiento de los contratos y apoyando en la gestión administrativa, realizando reportes relacionados con el control de compras, velar por el cumplimiento de las especificaciones, presupuestos y plazos establecidos
  • Analizar y elaborar tácticamente desde el punto de vista operativo el presupuesto gastos e inversión (OPEX y CAPEX), con el fin de lograr la proyección de los gastos e ingresos previstos para un determinado período de tiempo, realizando la consolidación de los presupuestos en cada ejercicio presupuestario (Visee 1, 2, 3 y PMT)
  • Planificar cambios en el mantenimiento en la ventana de tiempo definida para el equipo de programación debido a priorización y/o incorporación de actividades de mantenimiento correctivoColaborar a Jefes y Líderes de Zona O&M Renovables con la gestión administrativa del sitio y contratos

 

Requisitos del cargo:

  • Formación Académica: Ingenieria Ejecución Mecánico, Industrial, Eléctrico o carrera afin

Supervisar y Coordinar en terreno la implementación de los trabajos eléctricos según la ingeniería aprobada, con el fin de asegurar que la construcción se realice de acuerdo con el diseño de ingeniería y plazos establecidos contribuyendo a la generación de ahorros tanto en recursos económicos como en el tiempo de trabajo, minimizando desviaciones, por falta de información o conocimiento de los procesos, promoviendo una cultura de trabajo participativa y de mejoramiento continuo en la generación de las acciones, de acuerdo con los estándares de calidad, seguridad, KPI´s, gestión, políticas, procedimientos y presupuestos definidos

 

Funciones:

  • Supervisar y Coordinar la ejecución de los trabajos eléctricos de los proyectos que se le asignen, con el fin de asegurar el cumplimiento de la ingeniería aprobada para construcción, en función de las especificaciones contractuales, buenas prácticas de construcción y las normas, estándares o recomendaciones aplicables
  • Revisar documentos de ingeniería, procedimientos y protocolos en la construcción que involucren especificaciones y diseño de instalaciones y equipos eléctricos de los proyectos, para asegurar un entendimiento de la obra, correcta construcción y cumplimiento de los hitos definidos
  • Supervisar programa de obras de los contratistas, con el fin de asegurar el cumplimiento de las actividades definidas, identificado desviaciones, generando alertas, o realizando las acciones correctivas, elaborando reportes diario, semanal y mensual de las actividades realizadas, y proveyendo información para la toma de decisiones
  • Revisar los protocolos y procedimientos de trabajo tanto internos como de los contratistas, con el fin de velar por el cumplimiento normativo, poniendo especial énfasis en aspectos de salud, seguridad y medioambiente como así también en aspectos de diseño antisísmico, contribuyendo al cumplimiento de la ingeniería y especificaciones aplicables
  • Supervisar y Realizar el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad, seguridad, medio ambiente, permisos, relación con stakeholders, y gestión de riesgos, así como el seguimiento de los indicadores, para asegurar la continuidad de las operaciones conforme a las normativas legales y políticas de la GBU y la compañía

 

Requisitos del cargo:

  • Formación Académica: Ingeniería Civil Industrial, Eléctrico, Mecánica, o de especialidad, o equivalente por experiencia
  • Conocimiento en montaje de equipos, tendidos y conexionados eléctricos en proyectos de Generación compuestos de Planta, subestación elevadora, línea de transmisión y subestación de interconexión

Objetivos e Responsabilidades Principais da Função

  • Assegurar a conceção, execução, monitorização e manutenção dos Planos de Manutenção de equipamentos ou tecnologias de especialidade elétrica, em conformidade com as estratégias, políticas, procedimentos e orçamento definidos.
  • Contribuir para a execução do plano de investimentos, em conformidade com as definições orçamentais. Assegurar a coordenação de projetos assignados na referida área, incluindo a gestão de atividades e o desempenho de terceiros subcontratados.
  • Coordenar, ou participar, nas equipas de projeto transversais, garantindo a legalidade, eficiência e eficácia dos mesmos.
  • Garantir a conceção e implementação de projetos e atividades em condições idóneas de Segurança e de Responsabilidade Ambiental.

 

Responsabilidades Principais da Função

  • Coordena, ou participa, no desenvolvimento de processos de engenharia de manutenção elétrica e na integração de novos sistemas ou na melhoria dos existentes, procedendo a estudos e análises de problemas elétricos complexos, quer através da interpretação de rotinas de teste, quer através de meios complementares de diagnóstico e de resolução de problemas.
  • Providencia estudos ou pareceres de desenho de sistemas elétricos, bem como soluções de engenharia aptas a solucionar problemas de elevada complexidade, quer em projetos de aquisição ou renovação de equipamentos e tecnologias, quer em atividades correntes, com impactos minimizados nas atividades operacionais.
  • Assegura a existência de documentação e informação técnica atualizada sobre os ativos hídricos, nas áreas relacionadas com a especialidade elétrica e áreas de interseção das atividades de engenharia mecânica ou de segurança de barragens.
  • Coordena ou participa na gestão de projetos para aquisição, instalação, alteração ou substituição de sistemas e equipamentos elétricos, incluindo de automação, instrumentação e controlo, sistemas de comunicação, bem como respetivos softwares, meios e serviços auxiliares e proteções elétricas, sistemas de proteção, excitação e regulação de tensão, bem como equipamentos de transformação de corrente elétrica, estações e subestações e entre outros equipamentos e sistemas necessários à operação de centrais hídricas, monitorizando prazos, qualidade, eficiência, eficácia e preços, de acordo com o planeamento previsto no Projeto, no Processo Concursal, no Plano de Manutenção e no Plano de Investimentos.
  • Reporta o estado de progresso de projetos de planos de ação, de acordo com os KPI definidos.
  • Integra a equipa de projeto de Procurement e Compras nas fases pré concursais, competindo-lhe preparar a documentação técnica necessária à instrução dos concursos e ao processo de seleção das partes terceiras a subcontratar.
  • Coordena e monitoriza a atividade de subcontratados na sua área de especialidade, assegurando permanentemente a conformidade dos trabalhos e resultados entregues, em correlação com os contratos celebrados e as normas que regulam a atividade de externos, com especial ênfase no âmbito da Segurança no Trabalho e na conformidade Ambiental.
  • Providencia aconselhamento técnico e procedimentos padrão para a manutenção de sistemas e equipamentos elétricos, incluindo consignações e desconsignações, estabelecendo e documentando os respetivos procedimentos.
  • Providencia ou colaboradora nas atividades de instrução, preparação e realização de informação / formação e treino para os técnicos operacionais ou entidades terceiras subcontratadas.
  • É o responsável técnico pela organização e execução da formação THE (Títulos de Habilitação Elétrica) para técnicos operacionais cuja atividade seja submetida à exigência desta habilitação.
  • Representa o serviço de suporte de Engenharia de Manutenção Elétrica em reuniões técnicas e outras, designadamente em caso de diligências relacionadas com os projetos e planos de atividade que coordena ou em que participa.
  • Contribui, no seu âmbito funcional, para os Planos de Monitorização e Emergência Ambiental, junto das entidades internas e externas legalmente competentes, nos termos, responsabilidades e prazos legais.
  • Representa, sempre que necessário e no seu âmbito funcional, em articulação com a o Responsável de Área de Manutenção e Planeamento, os interesses da Empresa junto das entidades terceiras de natureza técnica ou regulatória, públicas ou privadas (Governo, Autarquias, Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente e outras), com interesse e relevância no âmbito da Engenharia de Manutenção Mecânica.
  • Assegura o papel técnico-legal Técnico Responsável de Instalações Elétricas, segundo os requisitos de validação formativa instituídos pela DGEG (com cobertura securitária do competente seguro de responsabilidade civil).

Qualificações

  • Licenciatura em Engenharia Eletrotécnica
  • Outras Qualificações ou Certificações: Mestrado na área académica referida.

Requisitos de Conhecimento e Experiência

  • Experiência profissional de 3 a 5 anos na área funcional.
  • Conhecimentos sólidos e visão científica de tecnologias, sistemas, processos e procedimentos na área da Engenharia de Manutenção Elétrica, aplicada à indústria da produção elétrica em centrais hídricas.
  • Conhecimentos avançados de modelos e metodologias de Planificação da Manutenção em ambiente industrial (preferencialmente em contexto de centrais hídricas).
  • Conhecimentos sólidos de gestão de processos concursais e de subcontratação nas atividades de Manutenção, preferencialmente em contexto de centrais de produção hidroelétrica.
  • Conhecimentos avançados de Segurança no Trabalho e Conformidade Ambiental, preferencialmente em contexto de centrais de produção hidroelétrica.
  • Conhecimentos sólidos de ferramentas informáticas de suporte à função, incluindo as ferramentas Office, ERP SAP (muito valorizado), MS Project ou similar (entre outras ferramentas aplicacionais necessárias ao exercício funcional).
