Facilities Manager

What You Can Expect

The Engineer II is a role responsible for supporting the development and installation of energy conservation measures and renewable energy with large-scale public sector customers. The right person will be working in a fast-paced, team-based environment, at the direction of the Project Manager as well as their supervisor. Responsibilities in this role include the design of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Measures (ECM), performing site audits, specifying equipment, and completing savings calculations to support projects in development and construction. Projects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations, to help local cities, schools, and counties become more sustainable, save money, and improve services to their end-users and the expectation is that one to several projects are supported from early development through post-construction.

The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a vital role in advancing energy conservation and renewable energy initiatives for public sector clients. You will advance renewable energy initiatives for public sector clients. You will oversee project design (solar photovoltaic, battery storage, microgrid, and utility interconnection) through development, design, and construction phases. The Pre-Construction Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for fostering grid scale wind, solar, and storage projects through the pre-construction phase of project development.  Successful execution of this position requires clear and consistent coordination of multiple project stakeholders including developers, contractors, vendors, owners, and financing partners. Every day in this role you will provide project management coordination and support for large and complex wind, solar, and storage projects during the pre-construction phase of the project. 

• Manage request for proposal (RFP) process for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) services
• Manage commercial aspects of all project related contract negotiations
• Support pre-construction activity including site studies, surveys, preliminary engineering, and estimating
• Support internal project capital expenditure approval processes to secure budget for Project Delivery scope
• Coordinate and support internal stakeholders including development, engineering, interconnection, and power marketing teams with Capex input requests
• Coordinate and manage key project stakeholders including Balance of Plant (BOP) EPC contractor
• Support major equipment (modules, wind turbines, batteries, and substation) procurement processes
• Participate in the negotiation of key project contracts including Major Equipment Supply Agreements and BOP-EPC Agreement
• Ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan

• Follow up and integrate partners' and subcontractors' contributions.
• Deliver all documents, including the commercial contracts, with quality based on a deep understanding of the requirements.
• Provide inputs for the commercial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Energy related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimun 3 years of experience in the energy sector (project, sales, tendering or proposal preparation), preferably in the energy projects.
• Good business acumen and understanding of the engineering consulting business.
• Solid writing and reporting skills.
• Good knowledge of the latest energy news and trends, especially in the South East Asia region. 
• Strong sense of priority and meticulousness.
• Independent, proactive, and self-motivated.
• Good planner and organizer in various circumstances. 
• Great team player and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Thai and English.
