What You Can Expect

As an Augmented Maintenance Project Support (AMPS) Technician, your role involves providing onsite support services in the Central area of Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for project commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, analysis, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of operational assets. These assets include wind turbines, solar panels, BESS storage technology, and high or medium voltage substations. Your focus will be on optimizing generation availability, improving operational reliability, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Reporting to the Director of Field Services (AMPS), you’ll deliver reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance support, adhering to NERC requirements for inspection, testing, and documentation. This encompasses a wide range of equipment, from wind turbines and solar inverters to batteries, weather stations, PV arrays, breakers, transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reactors.

 

As an active participant in the behavior-based safety program, ensure that all team members and contractors comply with safety procedures and task-oriented job safety analyses. Communicate and enforce site safety rules through Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and meetings. Demonstrate procedural compliance in site operation and maintenance by following established procedures. Facilitate daily work, including report production. Inspect, operate, and repair site equipment both directly and remotely. Coordinate High Voltage (HV) switching and curtailments with local utilities and the Independent System Operator (ISO). Maintain site equipment to the highest standards for availability, reliability, efficiency, and profitability. Use work planning skills, schedule activities, and follow up to ensure work conformance. Conduct routine inspections, prepare oil analysis samples, and use safety tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Manage on-site work coordination among contractors and vendors, support technology upgrades, and maintain cleanliness. Comply with contractual and legal obligations impacting plant operation. Provide equipment operation training to contractors and other site employees. Consistently apply Job Safety Plan techniques, hazard controls, and permits to work (LOTO) when addressing plant abnormalities and equipment failures. Utilize computerized Work Order, Purchase Requisition, and Receiving software.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors or Equivalent Military or Trade school
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Battery Energy Storage Systems, (BESS), Wind generation sites, Utility scale power plants, Sub-station POI, or Controls & Instrumentation Maintenance. Renewables Solar and BESS construction experience or commissioning power plants a plus
  • HV Experience. Trades qualifications and certifications acceptable: (HV Lineman, Electrician, Substation Technician, or Controls Technician)
  • Obtain AVO certification or equivalent as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Be proficient in using and maintaining SCADA systems

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages up to 70% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
  • Ability to travel nationally at short notice and work for periods of time remote from your home to support our operational assets
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

Compensation

Salary Range:  $29.51 - $48.76 USD hourly

Werkomgeving

Het team “Sustainability, Environment and Policy” is een team van consultants binnen de Tractebel familie. Dit team ondersteunt zowel externe klanten als andere afdelingen van Tractebel (Nucleair, Energie, Infrastructuur…) met advies over duurzame ontwikkeling en milieu.

Ce vei face:

  • Vei asigura realizarea activităților specifice de Exploatare Rețea: Mentenanță Preventivă (detectare pierderi gaze, localizare defecte, revizia anuală a elementelor sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale – conducte, branșamente, vane, stații reglare, posturi reglare), Mentenanță Corectivă (intervenții de urgență, depanaj, identificarea și remedierea defectelor elementelor sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale, lucrări de terasamente, punere în funcțiune a rețelelor/posturilor de reglare noi sau înlocuite și respectiv scoaterea din funcțiune a rețelelor/posturilor de reglare ce urmează a fi dezafectate, modernizări posturi reglare), Tehnic clientelă (punerea în funcțiune a instalațiilor de utilizare gaze naturale (iugn) noi sau existente, inclusiv montarea mijloacelor de măsurare, înlocuirea demontarea și montarea mijloacelor de măsurare, citirea mijloacelor de măsurare/corectoarelor și punerea la dispoziție a datelor de consum, tratarea solicitărilor de servicii la cererea consumatorilor, furnizorilor, terților și clienților interni, modalitatea de reluare a furnizării după diferite evenimente pe iugn, gestionarea datelor și fiselor privind verificările și reviziile realizate de prestatorii; control evidentă lucrări și alimentare cu gaz (puneri în funcțiune rețele noi sau înlocuiri și scoateri din funcțiune rețele ce urmează a fi dezafectate), gestiune solicitări clienți, pentru asigurarea exploatării în siguranță a sistemului de distribuție gaze naturale).
  • Vei asigura realizarea în teren a activităților prevăzute în OS + anexe, respectarea prevederilor ALR, Programului de lucru, Permisului de lucru cu foc, Autorizației de construcție/intervenție, Planului de securitate șantier.
  • Vei asigura coordonarea lucrărilor pe rețeaua de distribuție gaze naturale în cazul unui incident când este desemnat de Sef de Exploatare (SE) sau în cazul declanșării PLANULUI de Organizare a Intervenției Gaz – ORIGAZ.
  • Vei gestiona situațiile de urgență, conform Planului ORIGAZ, în aria de activitate.
  • Vei verifica compatibilitatea lucrărilor MC, MP ținând cont de particularitățile tehnice ale acestora.
  • Vei asigura identificarea corectă a lucrărilor înregistrarea corecta a datelor în sistemele informatice utilizate.
  • Vei asigura urmărirea lucrărilor realizate de către terti în zona de siguranță a rețelei de distribuție,  modalitățile de lucru și obligațiile pe care aceștia trebuie să le respecte atunci când se realizează astfel de lucrări.
  • Te vei asigura de descărcarea zilnica a datelor din dispozitivele mobile utilizate în activitatea de depistare pierderi gaze.
  • Vei transmite către GIS și BEX modificările survenite în rețeaua de distribuție gaze naturale.
  • Vei alege modul de semnalizare a zonelor de lucru și calitatea lucrărilor de aducere la starea inițială a suprafețelor de teren afectate de lucrările de săpătură, pentru activitățile de exploatare.
  • Vei răspunde de activitatea zilnica a echipelor de lucru pe care le coordonează prin distribuirea ordinelor de serviciu zilnice, asigurând astfel folosirea eficientă a timpului de lucru.
  • Vei controla permanent modul de lucru din șantier, asigurând prezenta la toate închiderile de rețea.
  • Vei urmări activitatea de terasamente, vei verifica în sistem corectitudinea introducerii datelor pentru locațiile unde este necesară această activitate.
  • Vei realiza verificări ale lucrărilor efectuate de terti în rețelele de distribuție gaze naturale și vei întocmi referate de constatare.

 

 

Cerinte:

  • Studii medii tehnice finalizate cu diplomă de bacalaureat;
  • Experiență de  minimum 1 an în domeniul distribuției de gaze naturale;
  • Permis conducere cat. B;
  • Utilizare PC (Microsoft Office) și SAP;
  • Autorizație ANRE grad EGD, EGIU;

Job Purpose/Mission

This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial accounting processes within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The intern will work closely with our finance team and contribute to various aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Aid in the analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in conducting financial audits and compliance reviews as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

What You Can Expect

Bring tax expertise to the retail energy business unit by researching and applying tax law and regulation in a variety of business situations. Employ business communication skills and judgment to resolve tax exemption discrepancies and answer customer inquiries. Manage the accurate and timely review and application of customer tax exemption documentation, exemption-related refunds, and tax reporting.

 

  • Perform transaction tax research concerning the taxability of electricity usage for customers located in multiple jurisdictions and validate exemptions claimed.
  • Review and approve submitted Commercial and Industrial customer tax exemption documents – ensure documents are stored in compliance with data retention policies and laws.
  • Calculate and apply tax exemption adjustments and submit for approval, as required and according to company Delegation of Authority policies.
  • Maintain clear, thorough documentation with supporting tax research for all tax adjustments and complete assignments timely.  
  • Provide tax guidance to field offices, Business Control, and third-party vendors regarding the applicability of state and local sales & use tax rules to specific fact patterns and work with them to resolve transaction tax issues.
  • Assist with any required reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Minium of 2 years relevant retail energy industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, General Ledger software, Tax research software and Retail Billing software. SAP experience preferred.
