What You Can Expect

As our Senior Accountant, you'll ensure timely and accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting. You'll provide crucial accounting support to project teams and senior management, serving as the primary contact for external auditors and overseeing fiscal year-end audits and financial statement preparation. You'll also develop processes, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate requirements across the organization, leveraging our Shared Services team. This position is based in Houston, TX.

 

 

  • Responsible for all transactions, accounting records, and financial reporting, for multiple entities. Will develop a working knowledge of each entity’s business operations and act as the primary Accounting Department contact.
  • Read Concessionaire and Operations and Maintenance contracts to develop an understanding of the businesses and be able to discuss these contracts and the accounting concepts.  Have a clear understanding of the accounting for financing receivables, debt, and interest rate swaps
  • Perform monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and IFRS reporting requirements to ENGIE parent company
  • Prepare and deliver partnership financial statements and other reporting as requested
  • Work with Project Management teams to ensure all project finances are accurately reflected and reconciled  Will establish and lead recurring meetings to discuss project status, review outstanding receivables and commitments, and cash flow position

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in public accounting or financial reporting 
  • You are CPA certified or currently progressing towards Chartered Accountant certification
  • You are proficient in accounting partnerships, consolidation, and project accounting,
  • You will demonstrate strong financial reporting skills
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, SAP, or Cartesis
  • You will effectively communicate with internal and external parties in time-sensitive environments

Compensation

Salary Range: $78,225 – $104,265 USD annually

Knowledge and skills    

Experience:  

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience of which 2 is in leadership role, with proven track record of leading a high performing engineering team 

  • Experience in resource management and capacity planning 

  • Practical and thorough understanding of the various software development methodologies, their application in different contexts and trade-offs 

  • Experience in hiring, onboarding and maintaining pipeline of engineers. Demonstrated ability to create suitable conditions to retain talent 

  • Knowledge of developer productivity tools and performance frameworks (DORA, SPACE, DevEx..) in the software space 

  • Ability to identify and address process gaps, culture issues and conflicts  

  • Hands-on, senior level competency of full-stack software development using relevant front and backend frameworks

Job Purpose/Mission

ENGIE Energy Access Mozambique is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the technical deployment of solar business systems. This role involves business development and managing the technical implementation of energy solutions while working with a team of installation and maintenance technicians, ensuring successful deployment and maintenance of systems in compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The scope of work includes system sizing, system commissioning, troubleshooting and evaluating future technologies.

 

Responsibilities

Technical

  • Lead and manage design and electrical engineering for solar projects throughout the lead creation and execution stages

  • Configure PV systems based on site conditions and customers’ needs and expectations.

  • Manage electrical works such as installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.

  • Schedule, Coordinate and Inspect electrical installations and maintenance activities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure the optimal performance of solar energy systems.

The Project Manager (PM) Senior – Advisor is responsible for providing overall management of the design, construction, commissioning, and execution of multiple utility scale renewable projects throughout the US.  The PM Sr. Advisor will be renewable technology agnostic and responsible for managing execution of multiple engineering, construction, and/or procurement contracts.  The PM Sr. Advisor will work with our internal and external teams, and subcontractors, to oversee the design of the project and will work with our on-site Construction Monitoring team to manage and monitor the work.  THE PM Senior Advisor provides training and mentoring for assigned team members and others in the Delivery group, as well as the on-site Construction Management Team. Additionally, this role will build, foster, and maintain a collaborative working environment within the Project Team.

 

  • Utilize experience, knowledge, and leadership skills to expertly guide execution of assigned renewable projects to successfully meet or exceed expectations
  • Manage the Project Team including the Contractors, the Owner-Engineer, the on-site Construction Monitoring Team and other Project administration staff.  The on-site team may include a staff of up to 10 persons including site management, safety, logistics, and quality control
  • Conduct Weekly Meetings including Design Reviews, Coordination with the local Utility (RTO’s) and ERCOT (ISO’s), and Site Coordination
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Progress, Safety and Quality
  • Manage Construction and Procurement Contracts, Invoices, Change Order Requests, Submittals, RFI’s. and prepare Cost Forecast Reports

As the Project Development Advisor, you will support a broad range of pre-construction development activities on Greenfield projects within ENGIE’s portfolio of utility-scale solar assets in the Eastern United States (including MISO, PJM, Alabama Power, Georgia Power, and other territories).

  • Collaboration: Work closely with land and business development teams, interconnection experts, and environmental permitting specialists to site Greenfield projects and support wind, solar, and storage project development
  • Project Origination: Drive origination activities from feasibility to land acquisition, including environmental site assessments, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities
  • Consultant Engagement: Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation
  • Research and Development: Stay updated on industry developments, tax incentives, and new technologies.
  • Permitting and Hearings: Manage permit application preparation, attend public permitting hearings, and handle agency and AHJ submittals and interactions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with landowners and stakeholders, attend community engagement events, and maintain project progress databases
  • Financial and M&A Support: Support energy offtake, financing, and project Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) discussions, document preparation, and review project pro forma financial models
  • Industry Representation: Represent ENGIE at industry advocacy groups and national renewable energy events as an attendee, speaker, panelist, and renewable energy leader

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration or Economics  
  • A minimum of seven (7) years related experience, preferably in renewable energy development or other fields of project development with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
  • Detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue required information
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks

Every day, you will report to the IT Network Operations Manager coordinating with ENGIE’s global infrastructure team to ensure enterprise networking standards are deployed in the North America Region.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience as a network engineer

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in designing and supporting large-scale enterprise and ICS/SCADA network
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in supporting a 1,000 nodes corporate network environment
  • One or more industry certifications in different technologies disciplines (such as, Azure, AWS, Cisco, Fortinet, Security) is beneficial to the success of the role
  • In-depth knowledge in design and manage networking and security components across multiple public clouds (Such as AWS and Azure) and on-Premises Data Center.
  • Expert in Enterprise Core Networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, SDWAN, Firewall, Network Load balancing, 4/5G Wireless, and WIFI.
  • In-depth knowledge in Networking Protocol (Proxy, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BOOTP, 802.1x, 802.1Q,  BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPN, Ethernet, VLAN, Spanning-Tree)
  • Expert in the operations, IT Security, disaster recovery, monitor, optimization, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server environment in an enterprise-scale network
  • Working knowledge of general IT technologies (Azure AD, Active Directory, Authentication, OKTA, O365/Email, Window Workstation and Server, VMware, IaaS, PaaS)

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually
