What You Can Expect

As a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technical Senior Advisor, you'll work to develop energy storage solutions that reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency by collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and other industry stakeholders to leverage technical best practices and innovations. You will be responsible for conducting peer reviews to validate project viability and ensure best practices are adhered to and ensure compliance with all applicable ENGIE policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for BESS. You will support project teams in technology selection, design, engineering, execution, and optimization of BESS projects in various geographies, ensuring successful BESS industrialization and standardization at ENGIE.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related fields in which you have gained a solid understanding of energy related engineering
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of industry experience and 3 years of technical knowledge base of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design and deployment focused on Li-Ion technology
  • Experience in BESS safety, and project deployment (contracting, construction, commissioning)
  • Provide technical knowledge on BESS design, engineering, execution, operations & maintenance
  • Support project teams with battery technology selection, sizing, and system integration
  • Recommend improvements to enhance availability, performance, reliability, and lifespan of storage solutions

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically 20% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As a Power Grid Modeling and Forecasting Advisor, you will report to Congestion Trading Director and will develop long term grid scenarios for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) footprint and forecast nodal price curves using production cost modeling tools.

 

  • Develop and execute appropriate scenario studies pertinent to the period of study and systematically analyzing the results
  • Execute production cost models - Day-Ahead Locational Market Clearing Prices Analyzer (Dayzer) by systematically analyzing and updating the inputs as appropriate
  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to analyze and form fundamental views with respect to macro-trends
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and mirco-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits)
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to the enhance fundamental trading
  • Participate in Independent System Operator (ISO) meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve relevant tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in which you completed courses in relevant disciplines (Engineering/Business/Finance)
  • A minimum of seven years professional experience
  • A minimum of five years of grid planning or wholesale electricity market experience in ERCOT or relevant ISO
  • Strong understanding of power grid optimization, powerflow shift factors, line-outage distribution factors and contingency analysis

JOUW UITDAGING als Procesoperator

Als procesoperator ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse uitbating en opvolging van onze WKK-installaties bij onze klanten. Met als voornaamste doel: een veilige en efficiënte uitbating te garanderen.  

 

Technische opvolging:

  • Je stelt de installatie (transformatoren, turbines, elektrische borden etc) veilig ter voorbereiding van onderhoudswerken.
  • Je start een installatie na onderhoud opnieuw op.
  • Je analyseert storingen en bedrijfsproblemen, en doet hiervoor de gepaste verbeteringsvoorstellen.
  • Je bent de eerste contactpersoon voor de industriële klanten.
  • Je werkt in opdracht van de shiftleider en rapporteert aan hem.

  • Opmaken van verbetervoorstellen, je werkt mee aan stilstand -en incidentverslagen.

JOUW PROFIEL als Procesoperator

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers seeking complex renewable energy solutions

  • Create and implement strategic plans to approach and capture key customers within the market
  • Collaborate closely with upstream origination, structuring, risk management, and credit departments to ensure smooth transaction execution

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the renewable energy industry or related field
  • At least five (5) years in a leadership role developing and managing customer relationships and teams
  • You are adept at understanding and negotiating complex transactions within renewable energy markets, staying informed about trends and regulations
  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of four (4) days working in office. For candidates residing in remote cities, occasional travel to our Houston, TX office location is required, with a minimum of 1 week per month
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually 

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Main responsibilities:

  • Developing lasting commercial relationships with renewable energy producers, managing existing contracts, and expanding the portfolio of managed renewable assets, thereby contributing to the energy transformation of our clients.
  • Conducting analyses of the electricity market, customers, and competition regarding offered products and services, managing databases and information sources in this area, providing forecasting services for the operation of renewable installations, and cooperating with DSOs/TSOs.
  • Monitoring existing and developing new solutions for commercial services and market access for renewable energy that meet the needs of upstream and downstream clients (PPA energy purchase agreements, products for BESS energy storage), as well as ENGIE's internal development teams working on renewable asset development.
  • Monitoring and managing market and operational risk for the aforementioned products.
  • Participating in the development/improvement of contract templates in close cooperation with the legal department and the sales and trading departments.
  • Internal group collaboration, mainly with central teams located in Brussels and Paris, dealing with structured product trading and portfolio and risk management.

 

Candidate profile:

  • Higher education, preferred fields: mathematics, technical, economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position in the energy sector – preferably in energy trading.
  • Knowledge of electricity market mechanisms in Poland and Europe.
  • Ability to work in a team in an international environment and interact with very diverse professional profiles (clients, traders, analysts, sales, support functions, etc.).
  • High interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.

What You Can Expect

As the Operations Manager for 225 MWAC power plant situated in Gail, TX, called Long Draw Solar, you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of the site. In your capacity as lead of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. Additionally, you will handle the troubleshooting of Balance of Plant (BOP) switching, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) functions, and communicate with landowners and local communities.

 

Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising two technicians. Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Renewables Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-site.

 

  • May need to provide technical and management support for the operations of the wind farm site
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Manages a safety program that ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public, employees, and equipment
  • Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma/ technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills

  • Must have five (5) years’ experience in a related industry where you have experience with industrial electrical equipment, power generations, thermal generations, line, and utility scale equipment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in leadership or supervisory role of technical, operations or maintenance personnel
  • Working knowledge of wind power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
  • Must be physically capable of entering and working in a confined space (crawl spaces, shafts, small enclosed areas) as well as work at various heights and in adverse conditions during operations, shutdowns, and in fire/emergency activities
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses
  • Knowledge of using equipment suitable for lifting up to 50 lbs, if necessary

  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions to support other sites
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

The Project Developer supports a broad range of pre-construction development activities on projects within ENGIE’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada.   • Everyday in this role the Project Developer will support the development team in order to:
  • Manage and drive development activities of utility-scale solar, wind and storage projects from feasibility to the start of construction
  • Manage all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME)
  • Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation
  • Research new industry developments, tax incentives, and technologies
  • Manage permit application preparation and attend public permitting hearings
  • Manage agency and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) submittals and interactions on local, state/provincial, and federal level
