  • Manage data consolidation for monthly reports
  • Mobilize across O&M sites & Solar site activities for HSE support when required

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in HSE area

What You Can Expect

JOB PURPOSE:

In this role the Intern will support biodiversity studies, surveys, and micrositing efforts to minimize wildlife and wetland impacts, and support the Senior Advisor on compliance obligations, preparing development projects for construction-stage efforts, and support the pursuit of federal and state permits where necessary. What You Can Expect

Our Industrial Controls Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining industrial control systems (ICS) and related operations technology (OT) network and support systems to ensure corporate objectives of operational efficiency and reliability are met for the Utility Network. This position is located at the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, IA

 

On a daily basis the Industrial Controls Engineer will primarily serve the Meters & Controls (M&C) department but may also provide support to the Campus’s Water Plant, Chilled Water Plant, Power Plants and Distribution systems. They will work with the senior controls and networking engineer and field (E&I) technicians to implement programming and/or repair of ICS and networking/support systems. They will provide review and input to design and construction plans for upgrades or expansions to ensure seamless integration of controls and facilitate the transfer of reliable data to the PI data analytics platform.

 

  • You will be responsible for addressing all tasks and fulfilling all responsibilities with a “safety first” mindset
  • You will be supporting development of controls masterplans to continuously improve and upgrade equipment with technology changes. You will develop, and review approved specifications, drawings, and technical documents for controls projects. You will write control sequence of operations to meet engineering designed specifications
  • You will specify control system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. You will be writing programs and developing graphics for industrial/utility systems that meet engineering designed specifications.  You will be researching, evaluating, and designing controls system and processes to facility specifications, applying knowledge of engineering principles
  •  You’ll be providing technical assistance to field technicians regarding project specific equipment and materials, assisting in the preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required.  You will communicate on a regular basis with co-workers on project teams and update supervisors on any ongoing concerns or issues

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Automation & Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field. With four (4) years of experience with industrial or utility control systems

Or

  •  A Bachelor’s of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience with industrial or utility control systems
  • Our environment consists of Hirschmann industrial networking environments, Rosemont/Emerson instrumentation and controls, virtual server environments such as Nutanix (HCI – hyperconverged infrastructure), Microsoft network management and Windows operating systems, Emerson PACSystems & GE Cimplicity (HMI) controls systems experience in these or similar technology is required
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety principles in an industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of OT/ICS environments, platforms, systems, and applications
  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and responsibility
  • Proficient in standard OT/ICS (IEC 61121-3) programming languages and communications protocols
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft operating systems and office applications
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of operating technicians, peers, contractors, and design professionals
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/critical thinking skills

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record this role requires use of company vehicles
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and climb ladders in a hot/cold industrial environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, digitally, and in writing
  • This role could involve lifting to 50 lbs.

Compensation

Salary Range: $75,500 – $111,780 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Estamos à procura de uma pessoa Técnica de Segurança do Trabalho I para atuar na implementação, capacitação e inspeção das atividades e projetos de Saúde Ocupacional e Segurança do Trabalho em dois ativos da Companhia (Sertão Solar e São Pedro), visando garantir o entendimento e o cumprimento das normas legais e diretrizes da Companhia e reduzir acidentes e doenças e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos colaboradores próprios e do terceirizados.

Responsabilidades:

1. Assegurar e fiscalizar atividades laborais das usinas e/ou obras.

2. Liberar e acompanhar as frentes de trabalho em atividades críticas como trabalho em altura, espaço confinado, entre outros.

3. Auxiliar, apoiar e acompanhar a gestão da Comissão Interna de Prevenção de Acidentes - CIPA, assim como equipe de brigada de incêndio e primeiros socorros e condução do Plano de Ação e Emergência (PAE).

4. Acompanhar e executar atividades locais referente ao processo de avaliação das empresas contratadas no que se refere a regra coorporativa da companhia de saúde e segurança com contratados.

5. Inspecionar e interditar, quando necessário, equipamentos ou instalações próprias ou terceiras em face à riscos graves e iminentes.

6. Cumprir e fazer cumprir as Normas Regulamentadoras do Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego, relativas a saúde e segurança no trabalho.

7. Treinar colaboradores próprios e terceiros sobre assuntos inerentes a sua área de atuação.

8. Preparar e acompanhar estatísticas de segurança.

9. Fazer análise de incidentes e acidentes, envolvendo outros colaboradores quando necessário, assim como realizar estatísticas e reportes de indicadores.

10. Realizar ações locais necessárias a obtenção e manutenção de processo de certificações em saúde e segurança.

11. Participar da elaboração de termos de referência, especificações técnicas, memoriais descritivos, além de analisar as propostas recebidas, contribuindo em processos de seleção de fornecedores.

12. Realizar ou participar de auditorias de saúde e segurança no ambiente de trabalho, acompanhando os seus desdobramentos.

13.Comunicar ao corporativo ocorrência de acidentes e HIPO's (incidentes ou acidentes graves ou com potencial de gravidade alta).
