What You Can Expect

As the Project Manager II, working in a self-managed team concept, reporting to one of the campus Program Managers. As part of the ENGIE capital projects team based at the University of Iowa, you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the two local University campuses. Projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $15M, with completion of each taking the span of 1-3 years.

 

 

This position is being hired in support of a 50 year concession agreement to operate, maintain and enhance the University of Iowa’s utility system.  The projects you’ll take on will involve numerous and diverse projects in the areas of electric and thermal energy production and distribution, and storm- and wastewater infrastructure.

 

No two days are the same, starting with the development stage  you will be submitting reports and conducting meetings with Team members, subcontractors and stakeholders on a regular basis, providing oversight and sharing updates on projects and planning, solving construction challenges through collaboration  and clearing the path and working towards successful completion. The key measurements of success are successful completion of projects with no health, safety or environmental and public relations,  on time and under budget.  You will be managing contracts for both Design and construction of capital projects within the central plants, and managing project teams made of internal staff, external consultants  and Operations and maintenance staff.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other technical field Or,  a Bachelor’s degree (any major) and an additional two (2) years of Project Management experience in industrial projects in lieu of the Engineering / Technical degree
  • You have a minimum two (2) years’ of project management experience managing the scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout of projects
  • You possess or have the desire to obtain a PMP Certification
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors, including engineers, architects, and construction firms to develop and execute projects
  • You utilize new budgets and cost tracking devices to provide input to long-term financial planning, issue contracts, change contract orders, and process invoices
  • You have monitored project progress in design and construction phases through regular contractor and stakeholder interaction both virtually and in-person on work sites
  • You can liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance in the office a minimum of four days a week, or as required by project activities
  • Although rare, some projects might require nights or weekend work to support outages
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to use a company vehicle and travel across campus to project sites
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to travel for general business and training purposes
  • Strong acumen in financial and contractual aspects of capital projects
  • Ability to multi-task, utilize problem solving, and interpersonal skills

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

¿Cuál sería tu objetivo?

Responsable del traspaso de instalaciones de transmisión (Handover), sean líneas o subestaciones eléctricas, desde el área de Implementación de proyectos al área de O&M de Transmisión, asegurando calidad, cumplimiento de normativas técnicas y permisos asociados, para la correcta puesta en servicio y posterior operación de las instalaciones.

 

Funciones:

  • Controlar y coordinar el proceso de traspaso (Handover) de instalaciones de transmisión desde la Gerencia de Implementación de Proyectos (GIP) al área de Operación y Mantenimiento de Transmisión, informando oportunamente las desviaciones a las áreas interesadas.
  • Coordinar la participación de las diferentes áreas involucradas en el Handover, tanto los responsables de entregables como los que reciben, ya sean visitas a terreno o fábrica, pruebas de equipos, inspecciones, caminatas O&M, gestión documental, convenios, etc.
  • Asegurar que el punch-list acordado con Implementación de proyectos, incorpore todos los pendientes, tanto los identificados por área de proyectos, como los indicados en las caminatas O&M, asegurando la documentación digital y física, permisos, información técnica, planos, protocolos, reporte de pruebas, equipos, softwares, etc.
  • Asegurar la calidad de las instalaciones, creando las instancias de retroalimentación al área de Implementación de proyectos para la mejora continua en las especificaciones, ingenierías y buenas prácticas detectadas por personal O&M y/o el grupo ENGIE, documentando dichas mejoras.
  • Aprobar, en conjunto con personal de O&M, los protocolos de pruebas que sean necesarias para asegurar la calidad en la recepción y prueba de equipos.
  • Coordinar la participación temprana y oportuna del personal de O&M, durante la implementación de los proyectos, con visitas a terreno, caminatas y capacitaciones necesarias para operar y mantener las nuevas instalaciones.
  • Reportar e informar frecuentemente el estado de los proyectos a las áreas de O&M para designar los participantes en las distintas etapas del Handover, identificando a tiempo los responsables, administradores de contrato o coordinadores que se requieran en la etapa de operación.

 

Requisitos del cargo:

  • Formación académica: Ingeniería en Ejecución/ Civil Eléctrica, Industrial, Eléctrica, o equivalente.
  • Conocimientos en Gestión de proyectos.
  • Conocimientos en Ejecución de proyectos eléctricos de Líneas y Subestaciones.
  • Conocimientos en Marco regulatorio eléctrico nacional.
  • Conocimientos en Mantenimiento de sistemas eléctricos de potencia.
  • Manejo del proceso de interconexión ante el Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional.
  • Ingles intermedio.
  • Al menos 5 años de experiencia en gestión/ejecución de proyectos de Transmisión y Control de Calidad en proyectos de Alta Tensión.
  • Experiencia mínima de 7 años en empresas del rubro energía.

Requisites:

Above 15 years of construction-related project management experience, specifically within Critical mission or Data Centers. Knowledge of commercial and utility construction including practices and sequence of work.

- 15+ years of experience involved in industrial critical projects (GIS & AIS Substation, data center, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, laboratory, power, water etc.).

- Ability to manage field construction activities and labor, extensive knowledge of general construction methods

- Ability to manage multiple budgets and schedules.

- Certifications: Project Manager certifications is preferred but not required.

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Credit Manager (Senior Advisor), you will lead traditional wholesale counterparty credit functions for renewable power products, gas and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).   • Conduct ongoing monitoring for a portfolio of counterparties, tracking both individual counterparties and broader industry and market conditions
  • Assess credit risk associated with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and recommend risk mitigation measures
  • Construct creative credit solutions for structured transactions incorporating a quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Evaluate and challenge computations of potential future credit exposure as prepared by the risk team
  • Collaborate with legal, commercial and risk teams to negotiate master agreements related to bi-lateral trading and structured transactions, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
  • Prepare slides for quarterly credit committee and prepare and validate month-end credit reports used for management communication and financial reporting

What You’ll Bring

As a Chief Operating Officer of Energy Solutions (ES), you are responsible for the effective implementation and continuous improvement of all processes related to the execution of contractual commitments across all activities within Spain. GOVERNANCE AND REPORTING LINES

- You oversee 5 domains (some of them in collaboration with corporate teams): Health & Safety, Operational Excellence, Plan Efficiencies and Cost Savings, Process improvement and Transformation Plan. 

 

MAIN MISSIONS 

1. Steer Health and Safety ambitions, regarding both personnel (internal and contractors) and industrial safety. 

2. Define ES GBU Management System (manual, processes, reference documents).  

3. Effectively implement all relevant GBU standard processes, KPIs and digital tools and applications in the fields of engineering and construction, asset management (maintenance, energy performance), labor and field service management, energy management and procurement.  

4. Measure operational performance by activity, benchmark and propose improvement actions and report to the General Management and the Operations Line. 

5. Set objectives, support, control and assess the action of the 5 lines under your scope for ES related topics (H&S, Operational Excellence, Plan Efficiencies and Cost Savings, Process improvement and Transformation Plan). 

6. Lead the operations related topics within the QBR Operations deck, attend to the QBR and comment main KPI, challenges and zooms on key projects / programs.  

7. As a member of the development and investment committees, secure the instruction of H&S, design & build future operations aspects of each project and contribute to the decision. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  

- You have relevant experience in the energy and/or services business as well as people intensive business type with at least 10 years in a senior operational management function (P&L). Experience in an international Group is a strong advantage.  

- You have a university degree or equivalent in management, engineering or applied economics  

- Ability to work in complex and matrix organization.  

- Ability to perform in uncertain environments and lead multiple and potentially contradictory priorities.  

- You have been successful in developing activities, creating trust with clients (industrial as well as public authorities), and with operational transformations. 

- You are pragmatic, people oriented and have strong personal leadership.

GEMS APAC activities are managed out of Singapore. The Business Platform’s purpose is to perform and develop GEMS trading activities in the APAC &  Middle east region around 2 main pillars: Client and Asset management.

 

The APAC Green Solutions team plays a critical role in originating, negotiating, and securing contracts to drive value and manage revenue streams for ENGIE renewables portfolio and developing strategies to optimize the APAC generation portfolio.

 

As the PPA Structurer in APAC region, your scope will include driving the marketing efforts, sourcing, and securing of PPA customers and managing relationships with potential energy buyers. The candidate will lead the negotiation, execution, and management of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and offtake contracts, ensuring the financial viability of projects through successful offtake agreements.

 

 

Role:

 

Green Solutions Originator & PPA Structurer Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, potential buyers and opportunities for renewable energy, environmental products, biomass and low carbon fuel consumption.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies for securing long-term offtake. agreements, ensuring projects’ profitability and financial sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate buyers and power market related stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for PPA negotiations and management, ensuring open communication and collaboration with all parties.
  • Identify and source prospective upstream and downstream PPA customers, green solutions corporate buyers, building a robust pipeline of interested parties.
  • Develop customized proposals and marketing materials to attract and secure long-term PPA customers.
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of PPAs and other offtake agreements with corporate buyers & industry partners.
  • Ensure agreement terms are commercially competitive and will optimize projects’ revenue potential.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, credit, financial, and technical teams to draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks associated with PPAs and offtake agreements, including market fluctuations, regulatory changes, and counterparty risks.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international energy market regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships and ensure effective communications with internal stakeholders.

What You Can Expect

Our Site Administrator I will be working with ENGIE’s Water Plant Operations and Maintenance Team and will report to the Water Plant Manager. This position is located at the University Of Iowa Campus in Iowa City, IA. 

 

The schedule offered is 7:00am – 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday.

 

  • Every day you will be working with our water distribution, and plant personnel.  You will be responsible for generating purchase orders to vendors, and assisting with the expediating, delivery and close out of purchase orders. You will be using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS) to assign materials to work orders. Other frequent tasks include assisting with onboarding/ offboarding employees, scheduling training, and maintaining certifications for staff, purchasing of uniforms.   
  • You will maintain and monitor inventory, process invoices and purchase orders. You will be assisting the Plant Manager with cost and procurement controls, budget preparation and review, resolution of billing, vendor management, reports and correspondence preparation. You will also serve as a member of the local safety committee. 
  • Additional tasks include, Production of documents and reports as requested by operational leaders.  Completing data entry for customer billing, and supervising Interns data entry assignments. Maintaining routine plant operating logs and reports.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum education of  a High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or other relevant experience involving, purchasing, inventory or data entry
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative and secretarial functions
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Application suite
