What You Can Expect

As our Key Account Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by selling retail electricity products and leveraging cross-sell opportunities with our value-added services, including renewables and offerings from our sister companies. Your focus will be on engaging large commercial and industrial customers within the Key Accounts sector, ensuring their satisfaction both during and after transactions. This position offers the flexibility to be based in Houston, TX, or work remotely, and you will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Key Accounts.

 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Account customers, including C-Level executives, to identify and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities using ENGIE's products and services, ensuring alignment with customer needs and sustainability goals
  • Leverage expertise in ERCOT, PJM, NEPOOL, and NYISO markets to effectively manage customer accounts, obtain load data permissions, and propose tailored electricity supply offers that maximize Present Value Gross Margin (PVGM)
  • Qualify customer interest through detailed energy assessments and data analysis, using ENGIE Load Analytics to deliver informed, competitive proposals that meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Coordinate and manage multi-state and ISO bidding activities, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach across regions with the support of regional sales teams
  • Negotiate and finalize transaction terms, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and ISO-specific Sales Confirmations, in collaboration with ENGIE's Legal team, while overseeing the successful closing of deals and ensuring proper customer service and revenue realization

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar discipline
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience in Retail Energy Sales, Marketing, Supply or Structuring
  • You have experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) and Sales Force Automation tools

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in office if you are based in Houston, TX

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

The Project Developer supports a broad range of pre-construction development activities on projects within ENGIE’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada. In this role you will support the development team and work on all aspects of early to late-stage project development, such as local, state, and federal permitting, public and stakeholder engagement, public hearings, environmental site assessment, and project financing due diligence support.

 

The Project Developer will work closely with land and greenfield teams, interconnection experts, as well as pre-construction, engineering and project delivery departments, and other aspects of wind, solar, and storage project development to fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America.

 

Every day in this role the Project Developer, Senior will:

  • Manage and drive development activities of utility-scale solar, wind and storage projects from feasibility to the start of construction and maintain database tracking project progress
  • Manage all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME)
  • Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation
  • Research new industry developments, tax incentives, and technologies
  • Manage permit application preparation and attend public permitting hearings and manage agency and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) submittals and interactions on local, state/provincial, and federal level
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events
  • Develop project model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investment criteria and off-take origination efforts. Review project pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted
  • Support energy offtake, financing, and project Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) discussions and document preparation
  • Prepare investment presentation materials for ENGIE investment committees
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Represent ENGIE at industry advocacy groups and national renewable energy events as attendee, speaker, panelist and renewable energy leader

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration, Finance, Energy, Economics, or other related field of study in which you have project development, permitting/planning, project management, or business development experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of project development experience in renewable energy utility-scale projects (Wind/Solar/Storage) with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
  • Skilled in project management, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize critical path tasks

Job Purpose/Mission

The Head of Commercial will play a critical role in ENGIE Energy Access Kenya (EEAK). As the Head of Commercial, you are responsible for developing and implementing Sales, Marketing & Business Development (Partnerships) strategies to accelerate growth with our current and new while maintaining strong customer repayments. You are also expected to identify new commercial opportunities, manage marketing efforts and coordinate the execution of market research and analysis to create business plans based on commercial opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Set and manage the overarching strategic direction, priorities and focus areas for sales commercial (sales, marketing, and business development), cascading and ensuring alignment throughout EEAK
  • Manage consolidated country commercial performance with keen focus on driving overall customer repayments given that 99% of the sales are on credit and the team core responsibilities for pushing credit sales outcomes.
  • Establish a best-in-class commercial operating model, with a high-impact and right-sized organizational structure, tools, reports, standards, and systems
  • Lead our go-to-market strategy through understanding our customers, the market, and competitive landscape then determining competitive positioning with regards to products, prices, channels, and locations
  • Develop and lead a team commercial team (including regional Managers) on a local, regional and national level, with full responsibility for the team's work plan, coaching, and professional development
  • Lead and oversee strategic projects to improve commercial performance

 

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Strategy, Planning & Budgeting

  • Set and manage the overarching strategic direction, priorities, and focus areas for commercial across EEAK over the short to long-term and drive efficient customer acquisition and revenue growth throughout EEAK
  • Create robust plans to deliver the country targets month on month on month, including allocating sufficient investment and resources to reliably execute
  • Develop our go-to-market strategy (locations, distribution channels, marketing, partnerships)
  • Collaborating with cross-functionally peers to determine other key strategic inputs (e.g., product Volume, pricing, CX, etc.)
  • Ensure regions have localized strategies in line with the country strategy
  • As part of the management team, provide thought partnership for cross-functional leads, provide input into strategies, act as a key stakeholder on cross-functional decisions and ensure that core commercial and enabling functions to align with the sales strategy
  • Develop the sales, marketing, and business development team budgets, and track departmental expenditures, financial goals, and budgets
  • Where required, both lead and oversee strategic commercial projects to drive sales growth across EEAK


2. Governance, Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management

  • Continuously manage country Sales and customer repayment performance, including:
  • Primary focus on revenue, though sales volumes, kit mix, and price
  • Focus on maximizing sales of higher-margin products withs with a lower COGS
  • Focus on Customer repayment and Collection Rates, given sales team core responsibilities for credit sales outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of reports, analysis, and insights for commercial performance and other operational KPIs (per sales manager/agent, active agents) and marketing (brand health, marketing spends, referrals, etc.)
  • Lead commercial governance forums and hold Zonal/Regional Managers and other commercial sectional heads accountable for results and plans
  • Where there is underperformance, provide hands-on support to turnaround and make key decisions to remediate performance
  • Continuously monitor performance of other key functions that drive sales, including product, pricing, sales, distribution, portfolio health, customer experience, software, and service with potential partners, working with them to take remediation action to address underperformance

 

3. Commercial Operations

  • Develop procedures and policies for core sales operations functions (lead and opportunity management, recruitment and training, tools of the trade, incentives, size, and structure, government reporting and performance management, etc.)
  • Implement procedures and policies throughout the sales function, monitor and ensure compliance, continually test and improve.
  • Lead and manage marketing operations, including:
  • Lead market research, including the market and competitive landscape to identify analyze threats and opportunities
  • Segment EEA Kenya's customers and develop tailored strategies to target
  • Identify trends in customer behavior closely following sales, product usage, customer retention, upgrades, and competitors, leveraging this data to enhance our commercial strategy
  • Supervise all marketing channels and methods to ensure appropriate information is effectively communicated to external audiences (including leading campaigns)
  • Establish and manage external partnerships, including negotiating ongoing contracts with suppliers and customers, managing, and reviewing contracts, and making recommendations regarding commerciality.

 

4. Leadership, Management & Culture

  • Develop and lead a team of sales and commercial managers and analysts, including full responsibility for coaching and their professional development
  • Manage the team's work plan and workload to ensure delivery of agreed goals
  • Help recruit, collaborate with, coordinate, and train diverse teams such as Marketing and especially field sales and credit teams.
  • Provide strong leadership, management and coaching for regional sales teams, including with support to other members of the Management Team

 

Experience + Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in progressive business leadership experience, with 3+ years leading a Commercial function (Particularly Renewable Energy, FMCG's, MNO & Financial Institutions).
  • Strong Commercials capability across Sales and Marketing particularly in B2C, with a demonstrated history of leading and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Outstanding leadership, having led large field- based sales teams and ability to create a performance culture with strong governance, accountability and results.
  • Strong understanding of the Kenya Commercial environment, ideally with time spent in Various regions throughout Kenya.
  • General strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set and communicate the strategic vision for commercial throughout the whole organization.
  • Ability to lead high impact cross functional strategic commercial projects end to end (Including planning, analysis, conclusions and implementation) to achieve results.

As the Senior Electrical Engineer you will be supporting assets in across the US for Solar, Wind, and BESS. You will be primarily part of the AMPS (Augmented Maintenance and Project Support) team that will be responsible for supporting the utility scale operations group by acting as a technical leader, ensuring the safe operation of the facilities, and ensuring the assets are maximizing production. This role will sit in Houston, TX and require travel to sites for on call support.

 

You possess an extensive working knowledge and hands-on experience with solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology, including the ability to troubleshoot and guide technicians remotely. You understand the operation of substations, including the operations of high and medium voltage equipment. You will assist site managers and operations engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans. Your engineering expertise is crucial in preparing and reviewing reports, maintenance, and monitoring plans, and analyzing data to ensure environmental goals and objectives are adequately addressed. You provide electrical, high-voltage, collection system, and substation support to operating renewable projects. Additionally, you assist site managers and construction engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans. You lead the development and continuous improvement of commissioning, maintenance, and standard operating procedures. You review maintenance records and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliability and compliance with applicable NERC standards. You develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team, including misoperations, root cause analysis (Six-sigma, DMAIC, fish-bone), and safety-related events. Your knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI, is extensive. You are able to articulate, communicate, mentor, and provide guidance on addressing underperforming assets and develop plans to prioritize their return to service.

What You Can Expect

As our Project Management, Senior (PM) working in a self-managed team concept, you will be a part of the ENGIE capital projects team based at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  Our projects are located on two local University campuses, and includes the University Hospital. As part of this team you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $50M, with completion of each taking the span of 1-5 years.

 

This position is being hired in support of a 50 year concession agreement to operate, maintain and enhance the University of Iowa’s utility system.  The projects you’ll take on will involve numerous and diverse projects in the areas of electric and thermal energy production and distribution, and storm- and wastewater infrastructure.

 

No two days are the same, starting with the development stage  you will be submitting reports and conducting meetings with Team members, subcontractors and stakeholders on a regular basis, providing oversight and sharing updates on projects and planning, solving construction challenges through collaboration  and clearing the path and working towards successful completion. The key measurements of success are successful completion of projects with no health, safety or environmental and public relations,  on time and under budget.  You will be managing contracts for both Design and construction of capital projects within the central plants, and managing project teams made of internal staff, external consultants  and Operations and maintenance staff.

 

Additional duties include the following:

  • Administer design and construction contracts to include the development of project specifications, a detailed scope of work and principle contract provisions, working closely with corporate Contracts Management and the Procurement Department
  • Work with the University stakeholders, ENGIE colleagues, and ENGIE contractors, including engineers, architects, construction firms, and other contractors to develop and execute projects
  • Partner with Program Manager and Operations and Maintenance leadership to identify, justify, and prioritize potential projects

  • Assist with the formation, establishment, and upkeep of SAP WBS projects/templates and the flow of information from SAP to grid scale renewables development and construction managers to perform their job responsibilities
  • Analyze, assess, and report on Project Development/Construction CapEx and Operations/Maintenance OpEx spend data to ensure quality and accuracy. Independently execute forensic accounting tasks to identify outliers and work directly with corporate Accounting/AP and Procurement to rectify errors. Routinely produce, assess, and distribute monthly project status reports. Update, modify, and review budgets with managers, addressing outliers as supplemental budgets are approved and contingencies are released. Highlight approaching budget constraints and risks to ensure proactive management
  • Assist development, construction, and project managers with the establishment of projects and full life cycle budgets in SAP
  • Preparation of annual cash spend plans and routine cash forecasting exercises
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improving existing processes. Proactively engage and work with various corporate functions to roll-out new or updated business processes and tools
  • Develop and maintain documentation and process flows to define various business processes, and collaborate with Project Controllers on budget management, scheduling, and quality control initiatives to enhance these processes
  • As required, lead training and orientation efforts surrounding the use of legacy business systems/tools and the roll-out of new enterprise systems. Also responsible for coordinating these efforts with applicable corporate functional groups
  • Work with development managers, Accounting and Procurements to transition historic costs and established purchases to full life cycle project budgets and templates. In relationship to this activity, ensure the accounting and purchasing history of all Safe Harbor tax credit equipment are accurately assigned to applicable projects

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence. For candidates in remote cities, occasional travel to our office locations in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX is required, approximately once a quarter during off weeks
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 75% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, use of company vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consist of up to 50% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $165,000 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.

Supervisor de Mantenimiento (Especialista en Protección y Medición en Alta Tensión)

Contrato fijo: 3 meses

¿Qué tareas realizarás?     

  • Ejecutar el mantenimiento a los equipos de la Red de Transmisión (relés, medidores de energía, osciloperturbografo, sistemas de control de equipos de subestaciones
  • Soporte para pruebas de relés de protección, medidores de energía, implementación, evaluación y verificación de lógicas en el estándarIEC61850.
  • Ejecutar pruebas funcionales de operatividad/funcionamiento post-mantenimiento.
  • Ejecutar labores de mantenimiento de mediana a altacomplejidad orientadas a la detección, diagnóstico y reparación de fallas en equipos de funcionamiento.
  • Elaboración, revisión y adecuación de estudios de coordinación de protecciones e ingeniera de detalle
  • Elaborar procedimientos de trabajo y matrices de Identificación de Peligros/Evaluación de Riesgos (IPER) matrices de Aspectos/Impactos Ambientales (IAA).
  • Participar en la consignación de equipos

¿Qué habilidades técnicas necesitamos para esta posición?

Indispensable:

  • Carrera Universitaria: Ingeniería Eléctrica y/o Electrónica
  • Carrera Técnica: Electrotécnico, Electricista, o afines.
  • Experiencia en Mantenimiento de sistemas de Protección y Medición
  • Licencia de conducir A-1.

 

Deseable:

  • Conocimiento de estándar IEC61850
  • Experiencia de 2 años conduciendo
  • Inglés intermedio.
  • MS Office – nivel intermedio
