The Role
Our Origination team are responsible for securing high value structured power, renewable, carbon and environmental transactions; promoting risk management solutions and market access services to wholesale clients and counterparts. Our team works in close collaboration with the Trading and Supply teams
You’ll provide critical analysis and reporting to aid in the origination and structuring of new business opportunities within the Australian electricity market

  • analyse market data and financial metrics, creating reports, dashboards, and tools to support decision-making for Originators
  • build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, provide accurate and timely data analysis for structuring deals
  • contribute in pre-transaction due diligence and provide documentation support for transaction approval.
  • conduct in-depth market research on supply-demand dynamics, pricing, competitors’ behaviour and regulatory changes to inform origination strategy in coordination with the analytical team


About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as an Energy Market analyst, Strategic Analyst, Trading analyst or similar commercial role within the wholesale Australian Electricity sector
  • Demonstrable experience in energy market analysis and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Exposure to market driven negotiations (power trading, long term/complex agreement)
  • Commercial acumen within the thermal, hybrid, renewable or storage sector experience of C&I markets
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present a number-led story to varied audiences including cross-functional teams and leadership

What You Can Expect

As Project Manager II on our Capex team based at the University of Iowa, you'll oversee utility infrastructure capital projects ($100K–$15M) for expanding and maintaining campus utility systems. We are seeking a proficient Debt Recoveries Associate to oversee the collection of overdue payments in accordance with both internal and external legal procedures.  The job holder will work to deliver a seamless and efficient process for all stakeholders involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to either collect full payment, or establish a payment plan in line with internal procedures. 
  • Efficiently move accounts through the disconnections process using our ‘Blackthorne’ platform

  • Prepare and monitor payment plan requests, manage the warrant process, and handle all necessary paperwork in line with internal processes.
  • Ensure disconnection notes are added to tickets and manage warrants on day of disconnection.

About: Lead procurement and contracts function in India for Engie’s renewable energy projects, O&M and other functions

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage end to end Procurement & Contracts Management function.
  • Detailed costing and estimation to optimize the EPC costs during the development phase
  • Post securing the project, handle the team during the entire procurement process including floating of RFP/RFQs, coordinate with technical team for technical evaluation, lead commercial evaluation upto contract finalisation including negotiations with EPC, BOS, O&M and equipment suppliers.
  • Managing all project contractual activities including drafting, evaluation, negotiation & execution of subcontracts in coordination with legal team.
  • Overall responsibility for planning, making strategies for Change Order, Contracts management. Planning & defining policies & processes to build in efficiency in supply chain & procurement of regular purchases such as Modules, BOS, Power evacuation, power transformer, services etc.
  • Managing logistics operations, coordinating with external agencies to achieve seamless & cost-effective transport solution.
  • Management of consultant for coordination with Customs, Excise, Taxation departments for various duty benefits and schemes including thorough understanding of Tax & Duty structures for Products & Services in the RE sector.
  • Managing the end to end project insurances including EAR, ALOP, IAR, MLOP, terrorism, CGL etc. 
  • Track international supply chains & trends on wind, solar, storage etc and develop new vendor base and work closely in conjunction with regional and global procurement teams to develop an effective Procurement strategy.
  • Develop the Purchase/Procurement Policies, Process, Systems in line with Budget and timelines set.
  • Spend analysis, Strategic planning, forecasting, and Budgeting for Sourcing and procurement.
  • Continuous involvement in Global Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery, and technology.

Successful Applicant must have

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering & MBA – operations preferred
  • Minimum 12-15 years of work experience with 7 years in Procurement and Supply Chain in Renewable Energy space.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of utility scale, grid connected Solar & Wind based Renewable Energy projects, with experience of atleast 1 GW of projects
  • Must possess a strong vendor network and excellent connects across Domestic & International equipment & service suppliers, EPC providers and service providers
  • Procurement background in a leading RE EPC company / RE IPP.
  • Should possess excellent skill sets in Communication, Negotiation, Networking & Relationship Management.
  • Hands-on ability to work in a very leanly staffed environment.
  • Good commercial understanding of pricing trends and ability to make fairly accurate & realistic forecasts of future procurement budgets & costs.

Actualmente para nuestra sede en Madrid, buscamos un Especialista en Control de Costes y Planificación de Proyectos, cuya misión es garantizar la viabilidad económica y la eficiencia operativa de los proyectos de energía fotovoltaica y eólica. Esto se logra mediante la gestión rigurosa de los costes, la planificación detallada y el seguimiento continuo de los proyectos, asegurando que se cumplan los objetivos de presupuesto y cronograma. El especialista actúa como un enlace clave entre los diferentes departamentos, facilitando la toma de decisiones informadas y contribuyendo al éxito sostenible de la empresa en el sector de energías renovables.

 

Funciones principales

Control de Costes

 

  • Estructuración de los proyectos en la fase desarrollo. Elaboración CAPEX.
  • Control de costes de proyectos en fase de ejecución, incluyendo Previsión a Término (PAT), flujo de caja…
  • Análisis y control presupuestario de proyecto.

 

Planificación

  • Seguimiento del cronograma de proyectos en la fase de desarrollo a través de la herramienta MS Project.
  • Monitoreo de la planificación de los contratistas y detección de posibles riesgos de retraso durante la fase de ejecución.

 

Reporting

  • Elaboración de reportes de proyectos en fase de construcción.

 

Gestión de Riesgos

  • Análisis de riesgos y oportunidades en la fase final de desarrollo para el cálculo de contingencias de los proyectos.
  • Monitoreo de los riesgos y oportunidades de proyecto tratando de mitigar riesgos existentes y detectar potenciales oportunidades durante la fase de ejecución.

 

SAP y Gestión Administrativa de Proyecto

  • Creación de solicitudes de pedido y entradas de mercancías a través de la herramienta SAP durante la fase final de desarrollo.
  • Control documental de proyecto a través de la herramienta Procore en fase de Ejecución.

 

Requisitos

  • Grado universitario en Ingeniería
  • Experiencia (al menos 2 años) en control de costes y planificación de proyectos, preferiblemente en el sector de energías renovables.
  • Experiencia en el uso de MS Project/Primavera.
  • Nivel C1 de Inglés

 

Valorable:

  • Conocimiento avanzado de herramientas de gestión de proyectos y software ERP (por ejemplo, SAP).
  • Habilidades analíticas y capacidad para trabajar con grandes volúmenes de datos.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y capacidad para trabajar en equipo.
