What You Can Expect

As our Business Development Senior, you will be responsible for growing ENGIE’s Energy-as-a-Service (“EaaS”) partnerships with major C&I customers. The BD Advisor will lead the development activities for targeting clients, building organizational partnerships and strategic alliances with channel partners, and working with client executives through project conceptualization to contract development in collaboration with project development and engineering teams.

 

Every day you will maintain an exceptional level of organization and professionalism, while being able to identify challenges and present resolutions, in support of long-term partnership goals. You will operate within high-pressure environments, contributing as a part of a diverse and geographically team.

You will report to the Director of Business Development for C&I.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • A minimum 10 years of work experience in business development in a related field in energy services or utilities infrastructure, in the C&I sector, in Pharma, Chemicals, Data Centers, or Food & Beverage-
  • You have negotiation skills , along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, presenting effectively and speaking publicly to senior executives
  • You will develop and take ownership of creating opportunities with C&I clients, with a focus on large industrial sites
  • You will originate, develop, maintain, and expand relationships with all levels in an account ranging from Facilities Managers to Chief Business Officers, Financial Director, and other senior executives identified as participating/contributing to the decision-making process
  • You can work as part of a cross-functional project development team that includes technical support, finance, operations, legal, regulatory, marketing and communications to secure new business and ensure satisfied customers
  • You will originate and qualify leads to build/renovate/expand, finance, operate and maintain the onsite energy infrastructure of our C&I clients, creating new long-term major partnerships,
  • You can develop and maintain a solid sales pipeline
  • You will lead customer meetings and present at internal and external senior level meetings
  • You will identify and ensure engagement with multiple stakeholders within the customer organization to help define and develop compelling business impact strategies
  • You will attend and make an impact in critical networking and trade show events to obtain leads, present a positive public image of ENGIE, and expand knowledge of critical issues facing our customer base

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • The location can be at the Houston, TX location or other ENGIE locations (East Coast) can be considered
  • Must be available to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 to $224,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

  • You are a team player, are not afraid to propose innovative solutions and have negotiation skills;
  • You are an excellent communicator with strong listening, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • You are rigorous, well organized and good at planning simultaneous assignments;
  • You are capable to work under stress and without  delays;

ROLE SUMMARY:

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Responsible for building, coaching, mentoring and driving a high-performing Sales team that is accountable for attaining individual sales quotas, creating a culture focused on sales execution and accountability.
  • In-depth understanding of ENGIE Impact and ENGIE Group capabilities and portfolio of offerings, with the ability to effectively convey the value of ENGIE Impact’s products and services, explaining their purpose and performance and how they interconnect for maximum value.
  • Must understand and embody the key functions of Sales leader execution - including but not limited to attracting/hiring/and retaining top talent, coaching, leveraging appropriate tools and technology, and performance management.
  • As owner of key ENGIE Impact commercial region leader will set the strategy and execution path for revenue development by leveraging sales leader territory plan executive engagement, and internal ecosystem collaboration with Product, Legal, Marketing, and other cross functional leaders.

  • Forecast and track key metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts, Weekly operating rhythm KPI’s (meetings/proposals/Pipeline additions) and performance managing team members who are not meeting sales quotas and/or forecasts.
  • Will participate in the annual review, updating and publishing of commission / variable pay mix for Client Acquisition Managers.  Will coordinate and work with business partners, including but not limited to, Head of Commercial Growth, Compensation and Human Resources in the development and execution, ensuring the plans incent appropriate behavior and drive attainment of ENGIE Impact’s strategic goals and initiatives

Job Purpose/Mission

ENGIE Energy Access Mozambique is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the technical deployment of solar business systems. This role involves business development and managing the technical implementation of energy solutions while working with a team of installation and maintenance technicians, ensuring successful deployment and maintenance of systems in compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The scope of work includes system sizing, system commissioning, troubleshooting and evaluating future technologies.

 

Responsibilities

Technical

  • Lead and manage design and electrical engineering for solar projects throughout the lead creation and execution stages

  • Configure PV systems based on site conditions and customers’ needs and expectations.

  • Manage electrical works such as installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.

  • Schedule, Coordinate and Inspect electrical installations and maintenance activities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure the optimal performance of solar energy systems.

  • Train and support installation and maintenance technicians, promoting best practices, quality assurance checks and continuous improvement.
