What You Can Expect
As our Business Development Senior, you will be responsible for growing ENGIE’s Energy-as-a-Service (“EaaS”) partnerships with major C&I customers. The BD Advisor will lead the development activities for targeting clients, building organizational partnerships and strategic alliances with channel partners, and working with client executives through project conceptualization to contract development in collaboration with project development and engineering teams.
Every day you will maintain an exceptional level of organization and professionalism, while being able to identify challenges and present resolutions, in support of long-term partnership goals. You will operate within high-pressure environments, contributing as a part of a diverse and geographically team.
You will report to the Director of Business Development for C&I.
What You’ll Bring
- You possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- A minimum 10 years of work experience in business development in a related field in energy services or utilities infrastructure, in the C&I sector, in Pharma, Chemicals, Data Centers, or Food & Beverage-
- You have negotiation skills , along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, presenting effectively and speaking publicly to senior executives
- You will develop and take ownership of creating opportunities with C&I clients, with a focus on large industrial sites
- You will originate, develop, maintain, and expand relationships with all levels in an account ranging from Facilities Managers to Chief Business Officers, Financial Director, and other senior executives identified as participating/contributing to the decision-making process
- You can work as part of a cross-functional project development team that includes technical support, finance, operations, legal, regulatory, marketing and communications to secure new business and ensure satisfied customers
- You will originate and qualify leads to build/renovate/expand, finance, operate and maintain the onsite energy infrastructure of our C&I clients, creating new long-term major partnerships,
- You can develop and maintain a solid sales pipeline
- You will lead customer meetings and present at internal and external senior level meetings
- You will identify and ensure engagement with multiple stakeholders within the customer organization to help define and develop compelling business impact strategies
- You will attend and make an impact in critical networking and trade show events to obtain leads, present a positive public image of ENGIE, and expand knowledge of critical issues facing our customer base
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
- The location can be at the Houston, TX location or other ENGIE locations (East Coast) can be considered
- Must be available to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
- Experience successfully originating and negotiating sizable contracts in the field of Commercial & Industries, with large industrial sites and energy intensive sectors such as Pharma, Chemicals, or Food & Beverage
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Follow the ENGIE Business Development process, providing the corresponding high-quality executive notes on time, respecting the Delegation of Authority and ensuring the right governance is in place

Compensation
Salary Range: $146,300 to $224,570 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
