Key Responsibilities

  • Manage & Support all aspects of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) management in the Business Unit through the life of projects from initiation, business development, construction and operation & maintenance (O&M).
  • Manage, organize and supervise all HSSE matters before and during the construction of various small to large projects and O&M at ESP level:
    • Develop and establish a proactive safety culture by implementing the EOSC program and working with the leaders of the ESP organisation and the Regional key stakeholders.
    • Develop, implement and maintain the HSSE policies, management systems & procedures, guidelines, practices, objectives, and tools to reflect these requirements and ensure they are implemented;
    • Establish HSSE plan specific to each project taking into account ENGIE, local regulation, Customer and Contractors plans;
    • Hand over HSSE plan to Operations upon Testing & Commissioning
  • Organize, interface with entities HSSE professionals & provide support and improve HSSE performance, including providing on-ground support to entities as required and ensure strong sharing of best practices and lessons learnt.
  • Build an incident reporting and a learning culture within the ESP organisation.
  • Be a leader who inspires and motivates direct reporting team to perform and excel.
  • With all HSE personnel directly reporting to the ESM HSSE manager, to manage and develop the ESM HSE team and department.
  • Plan, manage & conduct ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 internal audits, external audits.
  • Plan and organize HSE related activities or events to promote and educate staff on good safety culture and good work practices.
  • Review and identify HSE related training requirements for various category of staff to meet the mandatory requirement and also to meet the job requirement.
  • Develop & execute in house training material/video, organize and conduct in house training and maintain training record.
  • Prepare or review publication materials to educate the workforce.
  • Conduct HSE inspection and Incident investigation when necessary.
  • Review legal requirements on HSE aspect & ensure compliance by working with all the relevant peers and stakeholders with ESP and at regional level.
  • Be a supporting focal point to the Head of HSSEQ SEA for security matters
  • Any other matters that relate to HSE directed by direct/functional report.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other topics relevant to Occupational Safety and Health;
  • Possess at least 10 years of practical work experience preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Must posses qualification and competency for Safety Officer as pers the DOLE requirements.
  • Possess ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Internal auditor certification is an advantage

F. TENANTS MANAGEMENT

G. ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Compensation

  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring all performance and functional tests are documented.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring timely delivery of services and materials. Lead the site team, promoting productivity and adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
  • Address and resolve technical and operational field issues, providing guidance to the team and subcontractors as necessary.
  • Assist in energy retrofit activities, collaborating with audit teams to improve system efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an engineering, contracting, or similar industry within the GCC.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, and BSRIA, as well as knowledge of KSA building codes.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and control of mechanical systems is mandatory, including the ability to establish the sequence of operation for various systems (e.g., FAHUs, AHUs, fans, pumps).
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a focus on safety and compliance with HSE standards.
  • Experience in coordinating with local suppliers and service providers is a plus.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Job Purpose/Mission  

ENGIE is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and accurate Internal Auditor with a passion in renewable energy and financial inclusion to join our team. The Internal Auditor will review the effectiveness of the internal control systems, risk management and governance processes and contribute to the improvement in EEA’s performance. This position will be part of the Global Finance team that is mainly based in Berlin, Germany and Kampala, Uganda and will report directly to the Head of Internal Audit and Control.  

 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide key input into the development of the Annual Internal Audit Plan and ensure efficient and effective execution of the plan.  

  • Effectively plan for audit engagements by obtaining sufficient knowledge on best practices, regulatory framework and EEA policies & procedures. 

  • Effectively conduct risk-based audits as per the approved plan, develop risk assessments of key processes and develop audit programs with testing procedures relevant to risk and audit objectives. This should be done in accordance with Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal auditing. 

  • Carry out fieldwork by executing audit procedures to verify the adherence and effectiveness of internal controls through testing and engaging with relevant stakeholders. 

  • Prepare timely audit reports and discuss the audit findings and the respective recommendations with the Departmental Heads to have the identified control gaps closed. 

  • Regularly monitor to ensure that audit recommendations and management commitments have been implemented by management, by way of follow up audits and Audit Issue tracking. 

  • Foster a culture of risk awareness within the company and continuously market the Internal Audit Function across the organisation, by maintaining productive client, staff and management relationships through individual contacts and regular meetings. 

  • Coordinate the internal audit activities with those of external auditors and make follow ups of the implementation of the auditors’ recommendations by management. 

  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.

Experience and skills

  • Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide accurate financial reporting to senior management.
  • Team Development: Mentor, train, and develop project teams to enhance their skills and ensure project success.


 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of project management experience in HVAC, Chilled Water Cooling Systems, and Multi-Utility Projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of local applicable statutory codes and regulations.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, PRC, NEBOSH).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.

The opportunity:

The Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit is the fully integrated trading arm of the ENGIE Group. GEMS teams manage ENGIE’s highly diversified energy portfolio and provide a range of trading risk management solutions to all types of market participants in Europe, Asia Pacific and in the Americas.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a data and reporting analyst to join our Middle Office & Business Control team, where you will report to the Head of Middle Office and Business Control, in a collegiate and friendly environment.

 

The position is a 12 month fixed term contract arising from a member of the team’s planned parental leave and works within our trading floor environment at our Freshwater Place offices (hybrid) in Southbank.

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Extraction and analysis of data from GEMS core systems to generate and explain daily economic P & L positions for GEMS Australia/ NZ and also the other wholesale books of other ENGIE ANZ business units
  • Establish budgets and analyse monthly results working with internal stakeholders for sources of data and in support of your objectives
  • Participate and contribute to other ad hoc tasks as required and support trading and commercial teams on reports, analysis and performance

 

About you:

  • Good data analysis, data extraction, manipulation and governance skills
  • Experience producing P&L and writing commentary to explain financial data
  • Knowledge of Australian energy markets highly regarded
  • Ability to tell a story with data after learning the business domain
  • High level of quantitative analysis and financial engineering skills – ideal but not essential
  • Proven ability for learning and a natural curiosity
  • SQL, advanced excel is advantageous
