What You Can Expect

As the Project Manager II, reporting to the Director of Capex, you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the Ohio State University campus for projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $15M.

Every day, you will report onsite to our office located on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, OH. You will simultaneously handle the ideation, development, approval, and execution phase for multiple projects. You will work in collaboration with our Capex team, university stakeholders, and technical stakeholders.

Other duties you can expect:

• You will utilize new budgets and cost tracking devices to provide input to long-term financial planning, issue contracts, change contract orders, and process invoices
• You will monitor project progress in design and construction phases through regular contractor and stakeholder interaction both virtually and in-person on work sites
• You can liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing

What You’ll Bring

• You have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or previous experience in industrial projects in lieu of engineering degree
• You have a minimum of two (2) years’ of project management experience managing the scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout of projects
• You possess or have the desire to obtain a PMP Certification
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors, including engineers, architects, and construction firms to develop and execute projects

• This role requires daily attendance at a worksite
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to use a company vehicle and travel across campus to project sites
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
• This position consists of 50% of outdoor work; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $86,100 – $130,000 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.

JOUW VERANTWOORDELIJKHEID als Teamleider Instrumentatie en Automatisatie

• Je coördineert een team van specialisten instrumentatie en automatisatie (4-5 personen) dat instaat voor het onderhoud I&C op de sites in Vilvoorde, Drogenbos en Schaarbeek. Je staat in voor de begeleiding van je teamleden, voert regelmatig gesprekken en equipes, en je werkt mee aan de ontwikkeling van je medewerkers.
• Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie van de verschillende I&C onderhoudswerkzaamheden zowel in dagelijks onderhoud als bij revisies.
• Je bereidt de werkzaamheden voor, je coördineert de interne en externe partijen, je analyseert de risico’s, je verzamelt de nodige informatie, je legt de handelswijzen (instructies, procedures,…) vast, je definieert en zorgt voor het nodige materieel en middelen teneinde alle elementen te verkrijgen die nodig zijn voor een goede uitvoering van de werkzaamheden.
• Je werkt nauw samen met de collega’s van exploitatie om technische problemen systematisch te analyseren en oplossingen uit te werken. Je communiceert proactief hierover met je collega’s van exploitatie en onderhoud.
• Je neemt systematisch de rol op van werkleider conform de werktoelatingsprocedure en je waakt erover dat alle veiligheidsvoorschriften gerespecteerd worden.

JOUW PROFIEL als Teamleider Instrumentatie en Automatisatie

• Je beschikt over een diploma bachelor elektrotechniek, elektronica of een diploma HBO5 elektromechanica. Gelijkgestelde graduaatsopleidingen of minstens 5 jaar ervaring kunnen als gelijkwaardig beschouwd worden.
• Je beschikt over een goede algemene kennis en ervaring in het domein van instrumentatie en automatisatie en bent bereid om deze kennis verder uit te bouwen.
• Je beschikt over organisatorische en leidinggevende vaardigheden en weet mensen te motiveren.
• Veiligheid komt bij jou op de eerste plaats.
• Je bent oplossingsgericht en kan goed het overzicht bewaren.

YOUR MISSION as an Electrical Engineer

VOTRE DEFI comme Responsable de Production

• Vous êtes le responsable du poste de commande de la centrale et vous assurez le bon fonctionnement de cette dernière, en collaboration avec un Opérateur. A ce titre, vous êtes responsable de la disponibilité de l’installation et de sa production sur le réseau électrique.
• Vous analysez les anomalies techniques et vous décidez des actions immédiates à prendre. Vous travaillez avec le service de maintenance pour le diagnostic et l’intervention. Vous définissez les améliorations nécessaires pour réduire l’occurrence des pannes.
• Vous êtes chargé de la mise en sécurité des circuits avant toute intervention
• Vous poursuivez votre apprentissage et le partage d’information au sein de l’équipe
• Vous participez aux différentes activités du Service Conduite (tests périodiques, formations, réunions, projets, processus administratifs, demandes spécifiques…)
• Vous êtes en charge du suivi documentaire, des modifications de l’installation, du maintient en bon état de fonctionnement d’une partie de l’installation.

VOTRE PROFIL comme Responsable de Production

• Vous êtes titulaire d'un Master à orientation technique (Ingénieur.e Civil ou Industriel) ou vous pouvez démontrer une expérience équivalente
• Vous avez une expérience en management opérationnel, dans un domaine technique
• Travailler en mode « service continu » (3 pauses) vous convient et vous avez la flexibilité nécessaire pour assurer des remplacements le cas échéant
• Vous êtes clair.e, précis.e et pragmatique dans votre communication et dans vos décisions

En tant que membre de l'European Maintenance Support (EMS) Equipment Solutions, l'équipe Electrical Protections (PEL) réalise des activités de maintenance spécialisées sur les systèmes de protection, les régulations d'excitation et les équipements de démarrage des centrales électriques internes d'ENGIE ainsi que pour les clients externes d'ENGIE.

En raison de sa croissance, EMS recherche un Field Technician Electrical Protections (H/F/X) avec une solide connaissance des systèmes de protection électrique.

Vos défis en tant que Field Technician Electrical Protections

• Vous êtes responsable des tests et de la maintenance des systèmes de protection électrique dans le parc de production classique et nucléaire d'Engie (centrales, parcs éoliens onshore et offshore) et chez ses clients industriels.
• Vous préparez les activités de maintenance des systèmes d'excitation et de démarrage des générateurs de notre flotte et suivez leur exécution sur place.
• Vous préparez l'intervention avec votre équipe, contactez les sous-traitants/fournisseurs si nécessaire, effectuez la maintenance et rédigez un rapport à ce sujet.
• Vous faites partie d'une équipe dynamique qui contribue à la transition énergétique. Vous apportez votre contribution à la transition énergétique en aidant à préparer, réaliser et mettre en service des projets de rénovation ou de construction neuve. Pour mener à bien cette mission, vous pouvez compter sur le soutien de collègues directs au sein de votre équipe et sur un département d'experts en électricité au sein d'Engie EMS ELEC.
• Vous participez à diverses tâches de maintenance dans le cadre d'un projet relevant de votre spécialité, en tenant compte de la sécurité, de la qualité et de l'environnement.
• Vous contribuez à l'expansion des compétences d’EMS.

Votre profil en tant que Field Technician Electrical Protections

• Vous êtes diplômé en électricité ou électromécanique (ou équivalent par expérience)
• Vous avez une première expérience de travail dans les installations de protection électrique
• Vous êtes teamplayer et orienté client
• Vous maîtrisez Microsoft Office. La connaissance de SAP est un plus
• Vous avez comme langue maternelle le néerlandais ou le français, de préférence avec une bonne connaissance de l'autre langue. Une bonne maîtrise de l'anglais est indispensable.
• Vous êtes mobile et flexible :
  • Vous êtes prêt à fournir une assistance en cas de circonstances imprévues.
  • Vous pouvez passer environ 10 à 25 % de votre temps à l'étranger (principalement en Europe).
• La possession des certificats suivants est un atout : VOL-VCA, formation BA4-5, formation ATEX, accès nucléaire de l'AFCN.
• Vous avez un permis de conduire B

Do you have a passion for technology and are you willing to apply your expertise on generator maintenance on our ENGIE sites as well as our industrial clients sites, then this job is for you! 

We are currently looking for a Generator Expert (F/M/X) within the European Maintenance Services (EMS) organization . EMS in Engie is responsible for executing specialized maintenance activities in different powerplants in Belgium and Europe (mostly Netherlands and France).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Generator Expert 

• Technical Leadership: Identify and analyse incidents or non-conformities during outages, conduct root-cause analyses, and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Field Assessment: Perform on-site machine condition assessments and mechanical and electrical measurements.
• Knowledge Development: Develop and consolidate all technical information and know-how on generators within EMS by participating in internal and external networks and ensuring processes are adequately adapted.
• Knowledge Sharing and Training: Share your knowledge, coach team members, and determine appropriate training modules to maintain EMS's competencies in generators.
• Long-Term Strategy: Develop a long-term strategy for the maintenance of generators and their components per entity. Initiate and implement improvements based on technical-financial analyses (business case) and assist in negotiating maintenance contracts.

YOUR PROFILE as Generator Expert  

• You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent by experience

• You have relevant experience in generator design/manufacturing/ maintenance/ commissioning
• You have good analytical and problem-solving skills and you know how to log your knowledge, plans and works in solid reports
• You like to work in a team and take into account the opinions of your stakeholders (EMS colleagues powerplant staff, service provider personnel, insurers…)
• You have a good working knowledge of English and speak either Dutch or French
• You are OK to move to different sites and prepared to spend 30% of your working time abroad
• You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Job responsibility

Safety at Work

• Ensures a safe working environment for himself, his colleagues and contractors while working on any equipment

• Ensures that there is a Permit to Work for each job as necessitated by the safety rules and associated Procedures.
• Ensures all Method Statements Work Instruction and Procedures are followed by himself and Contractors while undertaking any work.
• Ensures that all appropriate tools are available to ensure work can be carried out safely on equipment on all jobs at the plant.
• Points out any unsafe conditions to the I&C Lead Engineer or Shift Team Leader.

Maintenance Task Planning and Execution

• Completes all Work Orders generated in SAP as directed by the I&C Lead Engineer.
• Generates reports as necessary for the maintenance work done.
• Ensures that maintenance of all I&C equipment is in accordance with OEM Manuals and best practices for the equipment.
• Reviews I&C Maintenance Procedures and suggests improvements.
• Works to full potential and high quality of work.

Equipment Failure Trouble Shooting and Repair

• Supports the 24-hour operation by being regularly available for call-out at short notice.
• Attempts all possible means of reducing equipment downtime and ensuring high Plant availability
• Performs troubleshooting activities as necessary along with the I&C Lead Engineer and colleagues to determine failure conditions and rectifies the defects found
• Records and reports to the I&C Lead Engineer all rectification jobs undertaken.
• Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with I&C equipment under the guidance of the C&I Lead Engineer.

Reporting and Planning

• Discussed planned and unplanned jobs undertaken with the I&C Lead Engineer.
• Assists the I&C Engineer in planning daily jobs.

Use of Tools and Equipment

• Ensures appropriate tools and equipment are available at work sites and used while performing any job.
• Ensures that tools are in a safe and in good working order before use.
• Reports loss of tools or damage to any tools to the I&C Lead Engineer;
• Informes the I&C Lead Engineer of any requirements for tools.

Technical

• Good I&C engineering foundation and practical knowledge of how it applies to modern power plant and desalination plant processes.
• Practical experience of maintaining a wide range of I&C equipment gained through hands on experience and formal training
• Capable to ensure a safe working environment for himself and his colleagues while working on any equipment.
• Assume ownership of plant I&C equipment and strives to keep them in the best possible condition.
• Ability to carry out maintenance activities on a range of major engineering components and systems in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment.
