Job Purpose:

The DC Site Engineer with experience in technical support as well as data centre operations is responsible for the maintenance of UPS Systems & Electrical Systems in the DCs and ensures support for the other departments for the smooth running of the Gulf Data Hub Organisation. Skills Required:

  • Should have thorough experience in UPS Systems, Electrical Systems [optional / add-on advantage: Generators & basic HVAC Systems]
  • Experience of Troubleshooting in UPS Systems & Electrical Systems [optional: Generators & basic HVAC Systems]
  • Good presentation & preparation skills for reports demonstrations to Customers & Clients
  • Expert across all technical aspects within the scope of the role.
  • Good knowledge of DC processes and policies.
  • English Read/write/speak is mandatory.
  • Experience of Datacenter MEP Infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management 

Qualifications:

Role Summary: A Rate Analyst - Forecasting, is expected to accurately complete electric and gas rate analysis tasks for mid-complexity level utility tariff structures.  They must be able to research and understand the applicability of those rate structures to the ENGIE Impact client base, as well as maintain the applicable mathematical rate models.  Additionally, the act as subject matter expert for rate knowledge and forecasting details, assisting Energy Analysts and Program Managers in determining best rate solutions and applicability for client reports and budgets.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  •  Research, compile and interpret utility-related rate cases and tariff changes on an on-going basis and input into respective databases.
  • Develop market knowledge base to serve as source of expertise on commodity pricing trends.
  • Utilize statistical methods and data analytics techniques to analyze historical energy market data, including supply, demand, pricing, and consumption patterns.
  • Research utility rate changes and pending regulated rate cases to determine impact on client utility cost. Utilize creativity, innovation, and technology to locate and source necessary data and information.
  • Compile standard and customized reports on electric, gas, water, sewer and other utility and energy data.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, energy suppliers, and customers to gather market intelligence and insights to provide updated rate changes.
  • Contribute to the continuous process improvement for the research and analysis services provided. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Research and understand the applicability of low to mid-complexity level electric and gas rate structures to the Rates Analysis client base.
  • Develop, maintain, and utilize proprietary mathematical electric and gas rate models for utilities with low to mid-complexity level tariff structures in the rates analysis process for all clients.
  • Demonstrate the skillsets necessary to examine high complexity level tariffs as the Rate Analysts matures in the role.
  • Manipulate large datasets of historical client usage data to effectively identify anomalies and savings and/or bill error credit opportunities.  Approach every potential billing error with a strong, well-defined balance of analytic skill and creativity to generate the best possible resolution for the client.
  • Analyze historical utility account information and current usage patterns to develop benchmarks for electricity, natural gas, and water/sewer consumption, and apply those metrics across the entire portfolio for multi-site clients.
  • Investigate cost and usage anomalies to identify and resolve complex billing errors such as power factor issues, transformer and capacity charge overbillings, miscalculated sewer strength charges, errors in units of measure, incorrect meter multipliers, and mixed loads.
  • Respond to basic product related client inquiries as presented by various internal groups as requested by the Manager.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of product specific processes, procedures, and toolsets for products. 
  • Assist in the production of status quo product reporting and metrics as well as provide actionable insights and vision for the creation of new reporting and metrics as relevant and as needed.

Compensation

Civil Engineer

CIVIL ENGINNEER - KSA

Mission

Designate to be responsible on site on behalf of consulting engineer as Civil Engineer and function as lead support to civil projects activities in Qatar. Utilising expertise perform in civil work  activities and construction of works to ensure implementation, in conformity with the agreed contract specification. Working closely with stakeholders (management, client engineers, project manager contractors and all engineers included in the projects…). Implement and respect strictly Tractebel 's Ethics & Compliance policies/guidelines and cascade it within Qatar structure.

your job Functions (DUTIES & Responsibilities).

  • Responsible for data collection and site investigation & preliminary studies.
  • Preparation of tender documents, contract procedures, technical specification, evaluation of bids.
  • Responsible to establish and maintain documented procedures to control and verify the design submitted by the contractor or the design produced by the consultant themselves.
  • Responsible for civil works design including calculation, layouts, bill of quantities, preparation of drawings etc but not limited to the following works.
  • Responsible for all civil structures associated with sub stations including foundations & support structures, buildings, cable trenches, drainage systems
  • GIS installations
  • Switch yards
  • Transformer station
  • Other support structures for auxiliary associated equipment & facilities

(All EHV CABLE INSTALLATIONS, OHL systems etc.)

  • Conduct for formal  documented review of the  contractor's  proposal/design.
  • Identify all design changes  and  modifications  are  identified  and

documented  and all these changes should be submitted to SEC for approval.

  • Responsible for tender document preparation, setting the specifications that meet the requirements of the client, preparation of B.O.Q, evaluation of Bids. All the above works will be under supervision of the client.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from reputable university.

 

Experience:

 

Should have worked for a minimum of 10 years in the capacity of senior engineer level in the relevant field and should have worked for major Transmission projects (132kV/220/380 kV systems) involving design, inspection, erection of sub stations and associated transformer foundations, steel structures, switch yards, OHL systems, underground  HV cables.

 

In the above projects he should have carried out I prepared preliminary studies, tender documents  contract procedures ,technical specifications, bid evaluation.

 

Must be fully conversant I referred all relevant international standards and should have working experience in ISO 9000 systems .

Designate competent engineers for the projects. Working closely with stakeholders (management, client engineers, project manager contractors and all engineers included in the projects…). Implement and respect strictly Tractebel's Ethics & Compliance policies/guidelines and cascade it within Qatar structure.

your job Functions (DUTIES & Responsibilities).

  • Responsible for following up the works done by the contractor, review the contractor's technical submittals, controlling the procedures of works to be complied with the tender specifications & general contract conditions. Reviewing the contractor Invoice.
  • Ensuring that the Contract works will be strictly carried out as per the contract, instructions of the Client
  • Attending meetings with the client, contractors and subordinates.
  • Administration of the client contract, strict implementation of safety procedures, rules & regulations, and minimum quality standards of the client and of other and institutions as applicable.
  • Co-ordinate and obtaining necessary approvals for safety documents and work permits for the works.
  • Study record drawings, survey sheets and as built drawings of the client and of other authorities before commencing excavation,
  • Prevention of damage to plant & equipment of the client and other utilities.
  • Complying with the safety procedures and regulations of client Electricity Networks.
  • Submitting Drawings incorporating the data collected from the site for approval of the client.
  • Supervise for the completing all works within the agreed period of time.
  • Responsible for the implementation of safety procedures /rules  by the contractor/sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for material approval. Verification and approval of materials as per contract specifications and as per the requirements.
  • Establish and maintain records, which provide evidence that the works have been inspected and tested. These records should show clearly whether the product has passed or failed the inspections/tests according to defined acceptance criteria.
  • Identify the inspection authority responsible for the release of the works.
  • Establish and maintain documented procedures to control calibrate and maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment used by the contractor or supplier to demonstrate the conformance of the works to the specified requirements.
  • Responsible for sub-contractor evaluation.
  • Evaluate and select subcontractors on the basis of their ability to meet subcontract requirements including the quality systems.
  • Will be responsible for audit by the client.
  • Establish and maintain documented procedures for verification by the client that the quality activities and related results comply with planned arrangements and to determine the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Identify all inspection, procedures , measuring and test equipment that can affect the work quality and identify the valid relationships to international standards.
  • Determine the measurements to be made and the accuracy required and select the appropriate inspection, measuring & test equipment that is capable of necessary accuracy and precision.
  • Determine all non-conformities to be communicated with the client in detail.

Determine all repair or reworks and record to denote the actual conditions. Suggest alternative solutions for the non-conformities. I.e. {a} Rework {b} accepted with or without repay by concession {c} regard for alternative applications   {d} rejected or scrapped

  • Investigate the cause of non-conformities and records the results of investigation.
  • Establish & maintain documented procedures for implementing corrective and preventive action.
  • Periodical site visit in order to check the design implemented according to approved documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering Discipline from reputable university.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Should have worked for a minimum of 18 years in the capacity of EHV cable managerial and supervisory  in the relevant field and should have handled major transmission projects (132kV/220/400 kV systems) involving supervision, inspection, erection and commissioning & testing of EHV cables & associated equipment and facilities etc.
  • Should have experience in verification of selected material, route survey, inspection of existing underground cables, replacement of OHL and provision of underground HV cables, termination of cables.
  • Must be fully conversant I referred all relevant international standards and should have working experience in ISO 9000 systems.
  • Must have hands-on experience in supervision of cable jointing at least up to 380 kV.
  • Conversant with all aspects of procedures, method statements, Safety Rules and  procedures of cable laying and jointing of EHV cables up to and including 380 kV.
  • Must have managerial and supervisory experience in KSA.

Role: Electrical Engineer - Substation

 

Assist the Resident Engineer as required in accordance with the requirements of the project by regular site visits, inspections etc., liaison with and coordinate with all technical disciplines, attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings to discuss Contractor(s) submissions, Shop Drawings and construction related matters, Inspect and monitor the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practice, ensure compliance with approved method statements and drawings, layouts etc., Witnessing the site activities and testing, assist the Resident Engineer in the carrying out of the final inspection for certification of completion and handing over of the works and ensure that safety measures on site are adequate.
