Key Accountabilities:

  • Prospect Development: Identify and engage with businesses committed to sustainability and renewable energy. Utilize networking events, industry conferences, and digital platforms to connect with potential clients.
  • Utilisation of AI Tools: Leverage AI tools like Co-pilot to enhance prospecting efforts, analyse market data, identify leads, and gain insights into target companies’ sustainability initiatives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients. Foster new connections with prospective clients.
  • Sales Strategy: Implement effective sales strategies to achieve ENGIE Energy Supply’s targets and expand our client base.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop lead generation strategies and with the operations team to ensure client satisfaction. Attend and present at relevant events and conferences.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and forecasts to senior management.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in the UK Energy Market, particularly in Retail.
  • Proven experience in sales techniques and optimization across various segments.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
  • Excellent planning and development skills.
  • Time management and motivational skills
  • Strong presentation and report-writing skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree level or equivalent.

What You Can Expect

As our Sales Manager with ENGIE North America, your primary objective is to prospect and acquire new Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers for ENGIE retail business in the New York (NYISO) & New England (NEPOOL) ISO regions to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related discipline; In lieu of the educational requirement, we will accept a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant industry  experience in retail energy sales

You are persuasive at communication, effective negotiation skills, and interaction with executive-level decision-makers

You are a self-driven individual capable of quickly learning new products, processes, and systems

You have the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism

You have the ability to work closely with Key Account Teams and functional support groups to close transactions with key customers, ensuring seamless service delivery and the realization of expected revenues and margins

 

Additional Details

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, consisting of three (3) days in office and two (2) days working remotely

Compensation

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Hoe ziet je traineeship eruit?

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2nd year undergraduate or graduate degree with at least a current GPA of 2.8 or higher

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related discipline; in lieu of the educational requirement, we will accept a minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience where you gain experience in retail energy sales or developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • You have persuasive communication, effective negotiation skills, and interaction with executive-level decision-makers

Additional Details

Compensation

Salary Range: $76,750 – $127,875 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What you’ll do

  • Quoting, transacting and confirming Power and Gas ‘over the counter’ trades with clients and ensuring client trades are sourced according to the hedging strategy.
  • Working with internal teams to ensure client trades and market index data is correct and updated within the billing system to ensure customers are billed accurately and on time.
  • Supporting the team by completing a number of operation tasks including but not limited to:
  • Daily trade and position checking to ensure ENGIE’s commodity risk exposures are correctly represented.
  • Production and monitoring of Daily Forward Price Curves used as part of the quoting process
  • Production of daily position summary as part of handover to 24 hour trading team
  • Working with account managers to respond to client queries and ensure all contractual documentation is provided at signature.
  • Evaluating sellback and MtM costs of fixed and flexible contracts.
  • The role may also include working on ad hoc analysis including but not limited to commodity price data, internal KPI monitoring and commodity risk premia.
