Mission

  • You manage engineering activities for energy projects, with priority for power generation and renewable projects.
  • You plan and monitor the evolution of the allocated projects.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the budget, the timing, and the quality of the engineering works are realized as required. You will make sure that the projects assigned to you will be elaborated in accordance to our quality system and our H&S rules.
  • You manage efficiently the project deviations and scope variation.
  • You participate in the engineering projects, elaborate design documentation, make calculations, produce schemes and diagrams within the project teams.  
  • You report progress for all your projects on a weekly basis or based on the required periodicity.
  • You enhance an integrated design process by looking transversally over the different disciplines involved.
  • You respond to the wishes and needs of the Client or of other stakeholders.
  • You participate in offers preparation and negotiation, by case.
  • You aim for sustainable and efficient solutions.
  • You keep up with the standards, guidelines and new techniques and developments in your discipline and report these to your team members or colleagues.
  • You work together with colleagues, external partners (such as architects, site surveyors, other design and engineering consultancies, contractors during the construction phase, etc.) and clients in a positive way.
  • You have an international mindset and collaborate with our offices abroad for certain engineering tasks and take the necessary actions to guarantee the required quality of the projects.

Profile

  • You are a qualified Engineer, holding a Master’s degree as a minimum, preferably in power engineering.
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant project management with engineering projects, preferably for power generation, renewables.
  • Qualification in Project Management (PMP) certificate is an advantage.
  • Experience in using specialized software for generation technology or equivalent is an advantage.
  • You have excellent organizational skills, you are a problem solver.
  • An excellent use of MSOffice package is required.
  • A good knowledge of English is a must.
  • You have good reporting skills.
  • You have good communication skills, orally and written.
  • You are a team player.
  • You are client-oriented and flexible.
  • You are willing to make international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.
  • Mobility by car is necessary so an international driving license “B” is required.

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Actualizations Analyst in Houston, you play a critical role by ensuring accurate and timely data input within the Risk management system. Every day, you will collaborate closely with traders, risk management personnel, and Operations (settlements and IT) team to support trading activities related to forward energy, congestion, day-ahead/real-time and algorithmic trading products, ensuring data from settlement and Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems tie out with high precision.

 

  • Check the accuracy of the input and reconcile associated data related to the actualization of energy transactions, including trades, schedules, and settlements
  • Collaborate with traders and risk managers to ensure timely and accurate data entry
  • Monitor and validate data from Poweroptix (settlements system) and other sources being recorded in the ETRM system
  • Collaborate with market risk team to ensure they are represented correctly in daily P&L reporting
  • Work with Aligne/FIS Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies and exceptions related to energy transactions
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support risk management and governance activities surrounding the trading decisions
  • Provide business insights and collaborate with Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) IT to ensure actualization processes are running accurately
  • Act as a member of the broader Risk team to support other ad-hoc requests
  • Stay informed about market rules, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in an analytical and quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in energy trading, operations, or related roles
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Familiarity with energy markets, congestion management, and day-ahead/real-time products
  • Proficiency in data handling, structuring, organizing, processing, and presenting skills (using Advanced Excel+VBA, SQL, Python, R, or any other data analysis tool)
  • Proficiency in using Aligne/FIS or similar energy trading systems
  • Understanding of Independent System Operator (ISO)/Real-Time Operator (RTO) markets and their rules
  • Experience with settlement processes and regulatory compliance
  • Analytical profile, ability to provide precise and solid insights, identify causes and conditions, structure action plans, and propose and defend those to the leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and limited oversight
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Jouw uitdaging als Projectleider

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor:

  • Het voorbereiden, uitvoeren, opvolgen en afhandelen van projecten, zowel binnen een projectteam als autonoom (‘kleine’ wijzigingen <100k€);   
  • Het opstellen van wijzigingsdossiers in functie van de uit te voeren projecten en het begeleiden van deze dossiers doorheen de verschillende fasen van het wijzigingsproces;
  • Het verzorgen van de werkvoorbereiding inclusief het samenstellen van werkdossiers, plaatsen bestellingen, voorbereiden van meldingen en orders in SAP, werkleiding, …
  • Het opstellen van risicoanalyses en veiligheidsplannen;
  • Het opstellen en/of opvolgen van detailontwerpen, schema’s, technische specificaties van installaties en werken;
  • De overwaking van de technische kwaliteit van de project uitvoering. Dit bereik je onder andere door het opstellen van de noodzakelijke technische procedures en werkwijzen (functional acceptance test, site acceptance test, as-built controle,…) en door deel te nemen aan project- en design reviews;
  • De coördinatie en de opvolging van de werf;
  • Het maken van afspraken met andere departementen en stakeholders met betrekking tot verwachtingen, scope en behoeften.

De ideale match

  • Je beschikt over een technisch diploma professionele bachelor bouwkunde of over gelijkwaardige professionele ervaring;
  • Je bezit een grondige kennis in 1 van volgende domeinen: elektriciteit, I&C, mechanica en/of burgerlijke bouwkunde;
  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar professionele ervaring;
  • Je hebt ervaring met werkvoorbereiding of bent bereid hiervoor een opleidingstraject te volgen;

  • Vanuit de controlezaal bedien je verschillende centrales van de entiteit Brugge-Gent-Brussel
  • Je lost storingen en problemen op in samenspraak met de productieleider en ons onderhoudsteam en doet een optimalisatievoorstel
  • Je stelt de installatie (transformatoren, turbines, elektrische borden etc) veilig ter voorbereiding van onderhoudswerken
  • Je start een installatie na onderhoud opnieuw op

What You Can Expect

 

  • Developing sourcing and cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials and equipment used in the solar PV business;
  • Develop Pre-sales activities working closely with the Sales Department in order to implement the necessary purchasing measures to increase the results;
  • Budgeting and developing solutions associated with the installation of decentralized solar systems;
  • Own, manage, and execute all stages of RFQ activities including supplier identification & negotiation;
  • Run tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factos;
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually looking for alternatives;
  • Work with the Head of Procurement in order to develop the company terms and conditions for purchasing, and assist in the development of the procurement policies and procedures;
  • Manage supplier identification and onboarding process including risk management, supplier setup, and contract management;
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities;
  • Ensure compliance with delivery times and prices stipulated in the contractual phase;
  • Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries;
  • Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.

 

 

Who We're Looking For

 

 

  • Pre-sales experience in developing and budgeting technical solutions;
  • Engineering license degree.
  • Strong experience in procurement of small and large volumes;
  • Commercial and financial awareness as managing budgets and keeping costs down is a key part of the role;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • English proficiency (other languages are a plus);

ENGIE Global Energy Management and Sales (GEMS) is responsible for managing the portfolio of electricity, natural gas, environmental products, and bulk commodities for ENGIE and its external clients, on an international level. The Risk team within GEMS is responsible for the measurement, control, and reporting of all market-based activities as well as the strategic management of risk capital across these activities, notably the trading & portfolio management activities of Global Energy Management (GEM), the Business to Business (B2B) Retail Supply organization and the Renewable Assets owned by ENGIE North America.

 

As a Market Risk Advisor in Houston, you will work with Commercial and Risk teams to provide analytical, market insight and strategy support focused on evaluating various risk management strategies and optimizing Profit & Loss (P&L) within the risk mandates.

 

Your daily responsibilities will include a combination of regular and ad-hoc tasks including among others risk assessment of origination deals and investments; evaluating regulatory and market changes, updating models and analyses, and responding to requests from Front-Office and other Global Business Units on portfolio and risk impacts.

 

  • Develop, enhance and maintain tools, methodologies and reports that evaluate pricing and risk assessment of various commercial transactions  
  • Perform periodic and ad-hoc analysis; Propose, evaluate, and validate commercial strategies that manage the value / risk balance of the various retail supply / renewable energy portfolios (power, gas, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)) managed by GEMS and other GBUs (Global Business Units) individually and collectively (e.g. reducing basis risk, managing intermittency, etc.)

  • Use benchmarking data to support valuation and competitive assessments, and create a benchmarking process to evaluate actions undertaken by front-office
  • Build, maintain and publish internal models for tracking and evaluating asset-specific performance metrics
  • Identify and recommend risk reducing offsets and efficiencies in avoided bid-ask spreads and credit across the ENGIE portfolio
  • Perform economic analyses of structured transactions Economic-Value-Added (EVA) to support Origination & Structuring activities of GEMS front-office and other business units
  • Research and analyze subjects including historical and forward market prices, market fundamentals, customer load analysis, financial forecast variances and advise internal stakeholders in terms of general structuring advice as well as optimization of returns throughout the transaction process

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of four-year degree in which you completed courses in an analytical and quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math)
  • A minimum of seven years of general business experience with minimum three years of relevant experience in Competitive Energy Markets, preferably dealing with Renewable assets including BESS and/or Retail Supply books
  • Knowledge of financial derivatives and commodity markets (gas, power, and environmental products)

Compensation

What You Can Expect

As the Senior Systems Engineer (SE) is a key player of a diverse team developing cutting-edge energy storage solutions. This position requires technical expertise in battery storage technologies, with focus on lithium-ion batteries. This role includes identifying project requirements, designing battery energy storage systems, specifying system components, supporting the business development team, managing projects from design to operation, and supporting the operations team. This position is part of the Flexible Generation & Retail Global Business Unit (FGBU) in North America. 

 

Every day you will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to specify suitable system components, define the system design, calculate the size of the battery system throughout the life of the project, and generate comprehensive bills-of-material for material and labor cost evaluation. Additionally, you will manage all technical aspects on project execution, from the design phase through development, installation, commissioning, and operation; primary EPC engineering interface.

 

  • Provide support to internal business team in engaging prospective utility companies and Authority Having Jurisdiction
  • Identify and articulate business development requirements
  • Formulate high-level detailed system design drawings and layouts for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Primary interface with the project Owner’s Engineer
  • Ensure Engie’s BESS internal guidelines are followed
  • Train Operations & Maintenance (O&M) technician and support with troubleshooting system issues
  • Responsible for oversight, considering company policies and procedures, codes and standards, and regulations, of engineering consultants’ and other contractors’ electrical designs and construction as required to deliver the assigned projects
  • Act independently with minimal direction and, as a project team member, must be able to work cooperatively to deliver quality electrical engineering for the project, interconnection agreements, and the team’s goals for a successful project
  • Must keep up to date on new technologies and regulatory conditions including codes, industry standards, best practices, customer requirements, and other relevant standards.
  • Review system drawing sets for purposes of bidding, permitting, and construction in accordance with ENGIE standards, NEC, IEEE and any other local codes

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in renewable systems engineering
  • Extensive expertise in battery technology for storage applications including batteries, inverters, transformers, substations, protection and controls, battery management and energy management systems
  • Profound technical knowledge, particularly in the realm of battery storage technologies or renewable energy systems is a plus.
  • Ability to create, read and interpret construction plans and specifications

YOUR CHALLENGE as a Field Technician Generators

As a Field Technician Generators, you will actively participate in various maintenance projects, overhauls and interventions. An extra challenging aspect of the job is that no two days are the same.

  • You will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and performing mechanical maintenance work on industrial generators and auxiliary systems.
  • At the start of a new construction site, you will be involved in the preparation and, together with the expert engineers from our team, determine the approach, planning and scope of the work to be performed.
  • Depending on the project, you will either take on the role of site supervisor or the role of field technician (or both).
  • In the role as site supervisor, you will coordinate and execute and be responsible for determining resources, ordering materials and following up on them correctly and on time.
  • During execution , you will work with a team of technicians consisting of both colleagues and subcontractors.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the work required and constantly ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • For unplanned sites or incidents, you will participate in interventions, analyze problems and work hands-on on the generators with the goal of resolving the problem.

YOUR PROFILE as a Field Technician Generators

  • You are mechanically and/or electrically skilled (A2/bachelor/graduate electromechanics, electronics, electrical engineering), experience in generator maintenance is a plus.
  • You are fluent in English and willing to obtain basic level (A2) in French or Dutch.
  • You are flexible in terms of working hours and workplace. You see varying hourly schedules (day, shifts, weekends) as 'part of the job'. You are willing to perform work at our various sites in Belgium and abroad (mainly France and the Netherlands, max. 30%).

Le Conseiller Point Services aide à la bonne gestion du point services en fournissant un service client avant et après-vente efficace aux clients. Il/elle s’occupe de la gestion des stocks sur le point services et sur le terrain. Il/elle fournit un reporting régulier sur les différents indicateurs relatifs à son poste.

 

  1. Responsabilités

 

1- Satisfaction clientèle

Assurer une bonne satisfaction client en fournissant un excellent service client en tout temps, en répondant aux questions et plaintes, en diagnostiquant les problèmes techniques et en procédant aux échanges de matériels si nécessaire.

 

2- Feedbacks clients / Produits
