ENGIE North America Procurement is hiring a Category Lead Buyer for Information Technology (IT) and Digital. As a category Lead Buyer in Hoston, TX, you will report to the North America Chief Procurement Officer.

 

Partner with IT Department (Corporate) and Global Business Units (GBU), Group Category Management and Project Procurement to drive alignment on IT & Digital – Hardware, Software and Services – category strategy in support of GBU’s growth ambitions and financial/operational performance across the region

 

Lead the supplier qualification and sourcing process, lead major negotiations efforts for contracting to develop and secure the IT projects and operations, and comply with Group’s and local requirements - Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), H&S (Health & Safety), Cybersecurity…

 

Manage frame agreements, follow-up supplier performance and foster strong relationships with key suppliers in collaboration with the IT business representatives and other support functions (Finance, Legal…)

 

  • Contracting Strategy and Specifications
    • Capture business requirements and jointly set the contracting objectives and tender strategy with GBU stakeholders and Project Procurement
    • Document the category strategy playbook for ENGIE North Amercia in close cooperation with ENGIE Group Category Management
    • Provide knowledge of technology, pricing, industry trends for North America
    • Conduct supply market analysis, identify potential supply and demand challenges / opportunities

 

  • Supplier Qualification and Performance
    • Lead key supplier qualification and identification
    • Manage tendering, negotiating, executing and managing frame agreements
    • Maintain relationships with suppliers involving business stakeholders
    • Ensure smooth supply chain operation, proactively communicate potential supply disruptions and develop a contingency plan
    • Monitor supplier performance with GBU’s inputs and feedbacks

 

  • Sourcing Request for Proposal (RFP) / Contracting
    • Run the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process
    • Manage competitive RFP bids, drive final supplier selections and lead negotiation efforts in partnership with legal, insurance, finance and IT teams
    • Ensure creation and documentation of competitive bidding process for Procurement across business entities

 

  • Contract Management
    • Follow-up key contractual terms and conditions in collaboration with Project Lead Buyers and Contract managers
    • Prepare change orders, extensions and amendments as needed
    • Coordinate dispute resolution in case of commercial / legal issues

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply chain, Procurement and / or IT
  • In-depth knowledge of IT and digital services procurement, including software, hardware, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate vendor proposals, spend data, and market trends
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with vendors

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500 – $114,195 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As our Senior Advisor, DG Origination, you will lead the strategy and market analysis for contracting ENGIE’s community solar portfolio. You will develop, mature, and close contracts for power offtake related to our community solar projects across the United States, leveraging your deep knowledge of the factors impacting community solar. In this role, you will collaborate with your team to build relationships with aggregation companies for small C&I and residential offtake, or directly with large C&I and brokers, depending on the market strategy for each portfolio. Your efforts will be crucial in advancing ENGIE’s renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America. This role is based in Chicago, IL, and reports to the Director of DG Renewables Origination.

 

  • Develop and execute offtake strategies for ENGIE’s Community Solar projects, including determining optimal contracting mechanisms, managing customer and aggregator relationships, evaluating bid requests, preparing proposals, negotiating agreements, and driving transactions to closure
  • Collaborate with ENGIE’s project development and delivery teams, ensuring customer-focused project attributes are communicated, and leading internal support teams through complex sales processes to closing
  • Stay informed about community solar opportunities and national industry trends, assessing their impact on the competitiveness and future of community solar projects
  • Manage the Advisor, Community Solar Programs; Sr. Analyst, Community Solar Partnerships; and Intern/VIE, and represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as a speaker, panelist, and industry leader

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Management, Environmental Policy, Political Science, Business, Economics or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in energy industry; preferably in renewable energy
  • You have a proven record of accomplishment in renewable or community solar origination with a deep network of community solar aggregators, customers, and brokers across the United States

Context:

 

The Business platform “Gas Delivery & Physical” is in charge within GEMS to ensure physical operations on behalf of its customers, both internal and external:

  • scheduling (nomination & matching) gas deliveries,
  • balancing portfolios on daily and hourly granularities,
  • optimizing assets on short-term maturities,
  • operating balancing assets for gas-fired power plants,
  • capturing and allocating realized flows in the trading systems,
  • LNG scheduling of discharge and reloading slots.

 

Role:

 

Within this Business platform, the Asset Management & Delivery Oversight Team is in charge of ensuring the within-day processes (Balancing & Optimization) and the post delivery processes making sure that GDP clients are understanding the operations made on their behalf. In that perspective, GDO team is made of 3*8 shifters, WD traders and realized portfolio managers. Teammate who are not in duty are also contributing to deliver projects improving operational quality or client services.

 

GDO team alongside with Asset Management and Delivery Oversights (AMDO) Team manages the delivery of gas in the European network and optimize ENGIE & subsidiaries gas portfolios.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The On-duty officer is a key player whose role is:

 

  • Execute GEMS’s LNG operations in connection with European LNG terminals,
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of GEMS's European gas portfolio and ensure its modeling in GDP tools,
  • Through a proactive attitude, leverage on contract expertise to manage delivery risks, capture opportunities, and increase extracted value,
  • Supervise the implementation of deliveries and support GDO in managing assets,
  • Participate in a night and weekend on-call rotation in order to:
    • Supervise and support GDO's asset portfolio management,
    • Ensure the first level of management in the event of a crisis, in contact with GEMS management,
  • Ensure the proper capture of deals, the production of reports and indicators, and the relationship with GEMS support services,
  • Lead various initiatives or projects related to GDP operational activities and/or its digital and commercial ambitions,

Job Overview 

  • With EEA selling its products on credit to hundreds of thousands of individual customers every year, EEA’s Customer Finance function plays a key role in the success of the business. 

  • The Global Customer Finance function supports EEA’s operating entities on credit product design, workflow enhancement guidance, portfolio management tools and capacity building. 

  • Within the Credit Operations Team of the Global Customer Finance function, we work on operational standards, workflows, systems and tools for EEA’s dedicated call centers, field teams and back-office teams to help support customer repayment. 

  • The Head of Credit Operations is a senior manager in EEA’s Global Customer Finance department. She/ he has an integral role in advancing EEA’s CF function through her/ his responsibility for EEA's financial services strategy and the development and management of related credit operations as well as for motivating and managing a team of dedicated professionals. Beyond, and in close co-operation with the Country Directors, senior managers of the Commercial and Digital functions and the Head of Customer Finance, she/ he is responsible for providing leadership, spirit and skills necessary for EEA’s CF operations teams in general, and Country Heads of CF in particular, to achieve their respective targets across the business.  

  • The Head of Credit Operations and her/ his team focus on achieving both effectiveness (in terms of management of timely repayment) and efficiency (in terms of overall ROI of credit operations activities) of EEA’s credit operations across markets. The role is responsible for the deployment of adequate credit operations policies, procedures, guidelines, monitoring and reporting as well as general operational practice, case-specific action plans, team capability and capacity development within and bordering the Customer Finance function, to deliver results. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Credit Operations: Framework, Strategy and Standards. In alignment with the Head of Customer Finance enhance EEA's business case through an innovative, effective, robust, and customer-centric best-practice Credit Operations Framework and drive its implementation to deliver results:  

    • Credit Operations Framework. Develop and continuously refine EEA's Credit Operations Framework along the principles of commercial viability, subsidiarity, customer centricity, rule-based decision-making, and data-smart digitized workflows.  

    • Credit Operations Ownership. Own EEA’s Credit Operations Framework for implementation across the business. 
    • Financial Services Strategy. Drive the process of designing, implementing, scaling, managing and continuously innovating EEA's Financial Services Strategy (PAYGo plans, arrears-type loans, education loans, cash loans, insurance, etc.)  
    • Credit Operations Strategy. Drive the process of designing, implementing, and managing cohesive multi-stage Credit Operations strategies to be applied across the business. 
    • Policies, Standards & Procedures. As process owner conceptualize, document & maintain EEA-wide Credit Operations Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other core materials in the form of a Credit Operations Handbook.

In alignment with the Head of CF drive credit operations practice along the steps of the credit cycle:  
  • Credit Operations Practice & Execution Support. Build, manage and iterate industry-leading credit operations across all markets guided by the credit cycle, including the structure, framework, policies, systems, routines, and tools which enable Country teams to execute on agreed objectives, as well as related on-the-ground execution support. 

    • Cross-Functional Agenda:  

      • Financial Product Specs. Provide material support to Country teams in areas such as financial product design, pilot and commercial launch, policy and process, partnership management, performance review as well as customer-facing and back-end operations.  
      • Digital System Specs & Tools. Lead the CF team in translating credit operations workflow and standards into Digital infrastructure specs. 
      • Service Level Monitoring. Identify cross-functional dependencies and agree on internal service level standards and escalation paths.  

      • Commission Systems. Translate credit operations results into global guidance on training materials, performance targets, and commission systems. 

  • Localization & Configuration. Provide oversight and strategic guidance to countries in their localization strategies, processes and standards related to credit operations. 

  • Adoption of Standards. Provide leadership and direction for change management and adoption of standards, tools, and practices on credit operations as they are rolled out.  

  • Performance Reporting. Guide the framework of credit operations analysis and dashboards for real-time, accurate views of activities and their results across the credit cycle. 

  • Deliver Against Targets. Take responsibility for and manage EEA’s Credit Operations on a commercial basis against agreed budget and targets including comprehensive, specific, and timely KPI reporting. 

  • Country Level Engagement 

    • Annual Planning. Contribute materially to the annual strategic CF planning process. 
    • Action Plans. Provide direct support and guidance to EEA markets on regular action plan development to drive achievement of credit targets of the business.  

    • Turnaround Scenarios. Where needed, provide focused attention and support to underperforming countries in turnaround scenarios related to credit performance. 

    • General Implementation & Support. Provide direct support and coordination of Global Customer Finance resources for implementation of action plans and day-to-day support. 
  • One Team Development 

    • Manage Direct Reports. Directly manage, coach, and develop a high-performing, motivated Credit Operations team (currently comprising six FTE).

Qualifications and skills 

Experience: 

  • 12+ years of professional experience in credit operations and portfolio management; work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa in the off-grid energy sector is a plus 

  • 8+ years of domain experience in credit or consumer finance operations or other data-smart lending operations based on commercial principles; exposure to individual micro lending technology and experience in data-driven and digital financial services is a plus 

  • Relevant experience in leading multi-cultural, decentral teams 

  • Proven ability and agility to perform in a VUCA environment 

  • Senior profile with commercial acumen and a can-do-attitude combining output orientation, number orientation, process orientation, customer orientation and team orientation

Your mission

 

As a BIM Engineer in our Infrastructures department you will contribute to our mission every day by playing a crucial role in developing and optimizing structural designs through advanced 3D modelling and parametric approaches. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and modelers to deliver innovative infrastructure projects, such as bridges, tunnels, roads, and public spaces.

Based in London, the GEMS UK team provides trading services for several internal and external clients in the UK. We provide a range of optimisation, hedging, market operations and analytics services for these clients and the 24/7 shift trading team play a vital role in delivering these services.  

 

The shift trading team is seeking motivated individuals with specific proven capability and knowledge of the trading and operational landscape in GB Energy markets (or any other energy market where you have practical experience) gained in any of the following areas:  

  • Short term power and/or gas operations; 
  • Short term power and/or gas optimisation; 
  • System and/or market analysis;  
  • Regulatory analysis and development; 
  • Power/Gas system management; or,

  • Interface with clients, control rooms and other key internal and external stakeholders regularly;

In this position, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating, as well as performing preventative maintenance and repair tasks on the chilled water plant(s). This role is essential for providing a high-quality experience for our clients. Reporting to the Chilled Water Plant Manager, this position is located on the beautiful University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, IA.

 

Your day will begin with a safety or hand-off meeting, where you will be briefed on the status of the equipment and any issues that may have arisen during the previous shift. Following this, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of turbines, centrifugal chillers, pumps, electric motors, tower fans, and related equipment.

 

Key responsibilities include assisting in the installation and repair of pressure piping for compressed air, water, steam, domestic water, condenser water, chilled water, and condensate. Additionally, you will support the general maintenance of equipment such as chiller tube bundles, heat exchangers, tower fans, gearboxes, drive shafts, pumps, valves, air compressors, and all other plant-related equipment.  These tasks will require utilization of hoisting and rigging tools to move heavy equipment, and proper application of power and hand tools to perform repairs.

About the Role: 

 

  • To be the IT Lead in the definition, management, and delivery, of key IT software solutions for ENGIE Supply UK, and to drive performance across our Salesforce eco-system. 
  • The IT Senior Product Owners role is to maximise the value from ENGIE Supply UK’s solutions, to assure the health of the solution, to impact and manage the delivery of solution changes, regulatory programmes and to advise users on the best use of the solution to achieve business objectives. 
  • The IT Senior Product Owner role will have primary focus on their allocated solutions, and will be expected to broaden out into other applications within the ENGIE Supply landscape estate should business imperative, or regulatory obligation deem it necessary.   
  • The role is both technical and people focused and concentrates on maintaining product integrity, managing internal departments and maintaining relationships with external partners. The role will work with the IT development and test teams and the business stakeholders to ensure the product meets the user needs and the business goals. 
  • The IT Senior Product Owner will have the responsibility for knowledge share across the business with regard to the solution owned, and for mentoring team members. 
  • The IT Senior Product Owner will provide strategic direction for the product, translating business strategy into to ensure that product goals align with user needs and company objectives.  The Senior Product owner will keep abreast of market trends, alternative product landscap.es and competitor strategies to inform product direction and ensure competitive positioning in the market 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Product Owner responsibilities involve the full product lifecycle, include gathering feature requests, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.   

  • To plan and deliver change within the umbrella of Business Transformation  
  • Organise and shape backlogs, feeding into dependency tracking 
  • Direct, lead and manage the following functions in relation to the Product Owned;   
  • BI Development (ingest and storage of source data into the Common Data Hub) 
  • Provide best practise frameworks, measures and tooling that enable and empower efficient delivery of solution change, maintenance and support tasks 
  • Research, propose and change ways of working to align with Energy Supply goals 
  • Track Industry change and consequences for the Product owned. 
  • Organise and shape backlogs, feeding into dependency tracking 
  • Contribute to the IT application roadmap and technical roles required to maintain industry compliance. 
  • Manage the cost of the tools and technology employed by the teams under direction  
  • Maintain performance metrics for the team and solution under direction; e.g velocity, time to market, quality 

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce Industries, Mulesoft, or Data Cloud and must be familiar with the Salesforce Ecosystem.  
  • Experience in Energy Industry software management as a product Owner, ideally in Billing solutions, Customer Relationship Management, Industry Interaction systems for the UK energy Market.   
  • 5 years’ leadership experience in an IT discipline with a strong and proven ability in the people management and development of software delivery and development teams, ideally across a range of different industry participants. 
  • Practical experience of architecting and maintaining a product Roadmap and Strategy combining regulatory and business improvement change.   
  • Has been responsible for delivery of outcomes from project and support simultaneously 
  • Exposure to strategic planning and resource management  
  • Has acted in the role of assurance, governance of solutions and delivery 
  • Experience in managing external parties. 
  • Has been required to research and innovate capability, ways of working, technology  
  • Experience of the challenges operating within matrix management structures is preferred 
  • Previous roles have contained aspects of financial management (e.g. setting budgets, tracking spend) 

 

Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification, and achievement of, (or demonstrable progress towards), Developer, Architect or Consultant certifications. 
  • Trail Head rank of Mountaineer as a minimum. 
  • Certifications in the theory surrounding IT delivery (e.g. Agile, SAFe, MoR, Project & Programme management)   
  • Experience in the management tools relating to software delivery lifecycle, e.g. Atlassian Suite, Dev Ops etc.  
  • Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or specific related experience is expected but not essential
