What You Can Expect

As a Power Grid Modeling and Forecasting Advisor, you will report to Congestion Trading Director and will develop long term grid scenarios for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) footprint and forecast nodal price curves using production cost modeling tools.

 

  • Develop and execute appropriate scenario studies pertinent to the period of study and systematically analyzing the results
  • Execute production cost models - Day-Ahead Locational Market Clearing Prices Analyzer (Dayzer) by systematically analyzing and updating the inputs as appropriate
  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to analyze and form fundamental views with respect to macro-trends
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and mirco-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits)
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to the enhance fundamental trading
  • Participate in Independent System Operator (ISO) meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve relevant tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in which you completed courses in relevant disciplines (Engineering/Business/Finance)
  • A minimum of seven years professional experience
  • A minimum of five years of grid planning or wholesale electricity market experience in ERCOT or relevant ISO
  • Strong understanding of power grid optimization, powerflow shift factors, line-outage distribution factors and contingency analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • Proficient in coding such as Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Reporting to the NORTHAM Chief Information Officer (CIO) your responsibilities encompass:

 

  • Partner with Business Stakeholders:
    • Develop, deliver and maintain an IT solution strategy consistent with Corporate Functions supported by NORTHAM IT, including Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, Customer Relationship Management, and Communications.
    • Discuss challenges and pain points with key business stakeholders and investigate the technical options to align with business needs and objectives.
    • Collaborate with the business to continuously improve business processes leveraging technology and innovative solutions.
    • Develop technology investment business cases with business sponsors.
    • Work with the Business to rationalize and prioritize new initiatives in alignment with IT deliverables and resource constraints.
    • Identify opportunities to provide innovative solutions to the business, in alignment with key business growth and expansion plans

 

  • Partner with Regional and Group Digital and IT Leaders:
    • Collaborate with the IT leaders across the world to be aligned on the group vision,  expectations and priorities.

    • Ensure compliance with group policies, processes, audit and reporting requirements.

 

  • Enable Group Industrialization through IT convergence:
    • Contribute to standardization of strategic enterprise solutions across ENGIE.

    • Build the IT solution strategy for enterprise solutions not only for corporate functions but also for the global business units supported by NORTHAM IT, in alignment with the group Digital & IT vision and enterprise architectural standards.

 

  • Program management to deploy IT solutions for strategic business initiatives:
    • Plan and execute large and complex business transformational programs requiring deployment of Enterprise IT software.
    • Deliver other approved IT projects supporting corporate business functions.

 

  • Ensure operational excellence for Finance applications:
    • Partner with the Global Business Service (GBS) IT delivery organization to ensure operational excellence, SLA adherence and optimal budget performance.

    • Partner with Controller’s team to validate and improve accuracy of reported results.

What You’ll Bring

  • Masters’ degree in the field of business management,  computer science or related field
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience
  • Program Management experience
  • Experience in Agile and related project management methodologies

Main responsibilities:

  • Developing lasting commercial relationships with renewable energy producers, managing existing contracts, and expanding the portfolio of managed renewable assets, thereby contributing to the energy transformation of our clients.
  • Conducting analyses of the electricity market, customers, and competition regarding offered products and services, managing databases and information sources in this area, providing forecasting services for the operation of renewable installations, and cooperating with DSOs/TSOs.

Candidate profile:

  • Higher education, preferred fields: mathematics, technical, economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position in the energy sector – preferably in energy trading.
  • Knowledge of electricity market mechanisms in Poland and Europe.
  • Ability to work in a team in an international environment and interact with very diverse professional profiles (clients, traders, analysts, sales, support functions, etc.).
  • High interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.

Our team currently includes 35 architects, urban designers and landscape architects working within the field of spatial design on a wide range of projects: public space, landscape design, infrastructure works, spatial policy studies and research....

We are mainly working in Flanders, but have recently started focusing on Brussels projects as well. We combine precise spatial interventions with an integrated and inclusive approach.   • You prepare consultations with our clients in the form of plans, presentations and bundles in which you can convey the essence of our design proposals in a clear and attractive way, and you attend meetings with clients.
  • You discuss designs with other disciplines, internal or external (engineers, traffic experts, environmental experts, energy and water experts, external study or architectural firms, etc.) and ensure the multidisciplinary support of your designs.

Context:

The transversal data officer works within the global Data Office for GEMS. The Data office is under the direct responsibility of the Chief Data officer and is responsible for data governance, quality as well as driving the overall data strategy for the organization under the guidance of the CDO.

 

Role:

The transversal data officer primary mission is to ensure the proper operationalization of Data Governance in relation with all stakeholders. Besides, the Data Officer must meet Data Governance program objectives, budget constraints and timeline.

 

Data Office roadmap and program monitoring:

Assists the CDO in defining the Data Office roadmap considering data centric strategies involving Data Science and AI initiatives

Makes sure that Data Office roadmap is updated

Ensures that KPIs allowing to supervise the governance program advancement are defined and monitored

Assists the CDO in prioritizing data subjects and is involved in the construction of IS roadmap on Data subjects

You will join TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING, ENGIE Group to primarily support the operations of the Dutch affiliate i.e., TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING B.V. (TE BV). In this function you will operationally report to the Engineering & Operations (E&O) Manager of TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING B.V.

 

The main mission of TE BV is to establish; and facilitate the development and the commercialization of the engineering services both in Nuclear and outside Nuclear in the Netherlands. The engineering services in the nuclear sector are expected to cover Nuclear New Build Projects, Medical applications, Small and Modular Reactors (SMR) and other nuclear applications. The office of Tractebel Engineering B.V. will be in the Randstad region with a hybrid mode of working.

 

Your function

 

The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the management and/or execution of the projects being led by TE BV with a deeper focus on the technical aspects while constantly striving to ensure alignment with the state-of-the-art and customer expectations. Acting in a support role to the E&O Manager and being responsible for:

  • Providing technical consultancy services to clients;
  • Reviewing project deliverables (design reports, analysis reports, calculations, documents, drawings…) and taking responsibility for the quality and technical integration of work being overseen;
  • Providing engineering support with the preparation of technical deliverables including design documents,  technical specifications, test procedures, commissioning plans, etc;
  • Interfacing with the Metiers to obtain data and resolve issues relevant to design;
  • Conducting technical / project management meetings in front of peers, partners, clients or suppliers;
  • Leading, mentoring, coaching and training less experienced staff;
  • Participating in preparation of technical proposals as Technical Proposal Manager, in support to the BD & Sales Manager;
  • Participating, in support to the BD & Sales Manager, to engage with prospective activities (meetings with potential Client);

You will play an important role in achieving our ambition to boost the development of TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING B.V. in the Netherlands and abroad.

Your profile 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree from an accredited engineering and/or business university
  • You have minimum 7+ years of experience in the nuclear industry;
  • You have demonstrated experience in projects related to nuclear safety and licensing and possess a comprehensive understanding of nuclear regulation in the Netherlands
  • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch (or willing to learn Dutch in the short term)
  • You are good at listening to customers and anticipate their needs.
  • You are a natural communicator (both oral and written) and are able to explain complex topics in understandable language to your different stakeholders.
  • You have strategic thinking and negotiating skills.
  • You have the sense of priority. You are good at planning simultaneous assignments and you are a good organizer, even in unexpected circumstances.

YOUR FIELD OF ACTIVITY

As a Contract Specialist for Hydropower and Water Resource Projects, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Preparation and Compilation: Assist in or take full responsibility for preparing and compiling prequalification and tender documentation for the construction of hydropower, dam, and major water resource development projects. This includes Employer-designed, design-build, and EPC type contracts based on FIDIC standard conditions of contract (Red Book, Yellow Book, Silver Book, Pink Book, Emerald Book, and occasionally Gold Book and Green Book).
  • Support During Tendering: Provide support to the Employer during tendering, tender evaluation, and contract negotiations.
  • Contract Management: Manage construction contract matters on behalf of the Contract Administrator/Owner's Engineer, including preparation of variations, claim management, and representation during adjudication and arbitration.
  • Construction Scheduling: Support construction scheduling, including analysis and development for evaluating delay and disruption claims and determining extensions of time.
  • Technical Offers and Project Management: Participate in preparing technical offers for engineering services and provide support for related contract negotiations. Assist in project management for hydropower and water resource planning and implementation, including controlling interdisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Training and Development: Engage in training presentations, workshops, and continuous personal and professional development, including specialist training in construction law.

Description

 

  • Autonomously performing the assigned project tasks in the area of expertise.
  • Preparation of bid proposals, and participation in business development activities.
  • Building and maintaining strong client and industry relationships.
  • Keeping up to date with state-of-the-art technology developments through participation in research projects and/or relevant industry working groups (IEEE, CIGRE, etc.)
  • Keeping track of the supply market and main industry players.
  • Coordination with the power system consulting and other teams in the group to address complex projects during all stages from feasibility to commissioning.


 

Requirements

 

  • University degree in electrical engineering (MSc/Dipl.-Ing.), further education is an asset
  • Fluent in English, excellent correspondence skill in contractual & technical matters. Fluency in other languages is an asset (German, French)
  • Readiness for frequent travel abroad
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Team performer, liaison and close coordination with the clients and partners
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS-office tools)
  • Preferably previous work experience as consultant and experience working abroad
  • Preferably 10 years of practical experience in high voltage power transmission projects in the area of power electronics, preferably on HVDC and FACTS, but BESS or RES experience will be also considered.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of system design including ability to manage interfaces with relevant equipment, such as valves, reactors, transformers, control and protection, telecommunication, cables or overhead lines, HV switchyard, firefighting, etc.
  • Experience in preparing technical specifications and tender documents for power electronics-based devices, evaluating bids, and performing design reviews.
  • Experience with following type acceptance tests (TAT), factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Experience in the commissioning of equipment.
  • Ability to contribute in all project phases (planning studies, design, procurement, implementation, supervision and commissioning) with technical input within the area of technical expertise.
