  • You provide design and / or consultancy for electrical substations / installations for control, protection, measurement up to 400 kV, for local and international clients. Your drive is to achieve and exceed the client’s expectations;
  • You act in electrical or renewable projects;
  • You issue Design Notes, Drafts, Specifications, Technical Specifications and Briefs, Progress Reports, etc.;
  • You issue/collaborate to the quality assurance plan of your projects;

Profile 

  • Engineering background (Bachelor / Master Degree) in electrical field;
  • Good knowledge of electrical engineering;
  • Knowledge of design norms and regulations;
  • Knowledge in electrical substations / networks shall be considered as a plus;
  • Knowledge of design and software tools dedicated to design of electrical installations is a plus;
  • English proficiency, good knowledge of a second language can be an advantage;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
  • Available for travelling, in Romania and abroad;
  • Driving license;

The entity from Romania is currently seeking for a Project Manager Power Systems to be integrated within Bucharest team. The team covering the Power Systems Consultancy activity constantly addresses studies related to grid connection solutions for new users/generators, network planning and network operation & control, using state-of-the-art dedicated software tools.

Mission

  • Providing leadership for power systems projects and workstream teams – including clarity of allocated responsibilities, objectives & deliverables, maintaining focus according to the project vision and overall project success from the conceptual stage (tender/offer preparation) to the final stage (presentation to the Client and final approval);
  • Facilitating communication between project stakeholders and workstreams – including managing dependencies, monitoring progress, and chairing effective meetings;
  • Analysis of most appropriate grid connection solutions for new generation/consumption sites to be integrated within Romanian Power System;
  • Power grids operation and control analysis regarding power system stability, voltage control, frequency regulation, short-circuit level and steady-state security assessment;
  • Power systems modelling based on EUROSTAG/SmartFlow and/or PSS/E and/or Neplan software tools for steady-state analysis and transient stability analysis – possible to be developed on the job;
  • Performing steady-state and transient stability analysis under EUROSTAG/SmartFlow and/or PSS/E and/or Neplan software tools – possible to be developed on the job.

Profile

  • Engineering background: University “Politehnica” Bucharest – Faculty of Power Engineering or similar;
  • Demonstrable and proven experience in projects coordination;
  • Relevant experience in power system consultancy – a minimum experience between 5 and 8 years is targeted;
  • Good knowledge of the Romanian Power SystemkV;
  • Writing consultancy reports;
  • Good communication skills – both written and oral;
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
  • Ability to work efficiently in an international environment;
  • Good knowledge and use of specific power system dedicated software tools such as: Eurostag/SmartFlow and/or PSS/E and/or Neplan or equivalent – nice to have;

Functie

 

Als Project Manager Nuclear beheer en monitor je het ontwerp en/of de uitvoering van onze nucleaire  projecten.  Je stelt de ontwerp- en investeringsbudgetten op en consolideert deze voor het project als geheel.   • Na overleg met de experts van Tractebel definieer je de taken en machtig je je projectteam (dat je functioneel aanstuurt) om deze uit te voeren. Je organiseert meetings met de klant en ondersteunt de klant, als partner, bij het leveren van de Tractebel meerwaarde aan het project;
  • Je verzorgt de interne contacten met onze Métiers (dit zijn de Technische Competence Centres) en de ondersteunende afdelingen (juridisch, financiën, IT, risicobeheer, communicatie, …);
  • Je coördineert de acties op de raakvlakken tussen disciplines en je waakt over de adequate integratie van de verschillende specialismen in het project;

Werkomgeving

 

Binnen de Tractebel Business Area Global Nuclear, kom je terecht in het departement dat verantwoordelijk is voor de Tractebel projecten die we uitvoeren in opdracht van Electrabel. Dit departement is verantwoordelijk voor alle projecten die verband houden met de studies en de aanpassingen van bestaande Belgische kerncentrales (Doel en Tihange), inclusief ontmantelingsprojecten en LTO-projecten (Long Term Operation). Deze projecten kunnen betrekking hebben op pre-haalbaarheidsstudies tot en met de uiteindelijke ingebruikname van de installaties, inclusief haalbaarheids-, ontwerp-, inkoop- en realisatieactiviteiten op locatie.

 

Binnen dit departement ben je verantwoordelijk voor de projecten aan jou toegewezen (studies en/of aanpassingen), telkens met betrekking tot de kerncentrales in België. Je rapporteert hierbij aan de Group Manager Projecten.

 

Uw profiel

 

Minimale vereisten:

  • een Master diploma in Engineering;
  • Talenkennis: Nederlands (en bij voorkeur basiskennis Frans) en Engels;
  • De werkingsprincipes van een kerncentrale en de daarbij horende veiligheidssystemen;
  • Je hebt 5 jaar professionele ervaring als projectleider of assistent projectleider, en je hebt kennis van de processen van Engineering (opeenvolgende fasen, contractuele benaderingen, …)
  • Kennis van Belgische kerncentrales is een sterke troef;
  • BA4, VCA en Habilitatie om toegang te krijgen tot nucleaire sites is vereist.

What You Can Expect

As our Project Management Advisor (PM), you will be responsible for the overall management of the design, construction, and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects. In this role, you will oversee construction and commissioning work performed by subcontractors and collaborate with our internal Technical Services, Development, Procurement, Operations, Asset Management, and Finance Departments, as well as our 3rd Party Owner’s Engineer(s) and other consultants to ensure the project's successful design and execution. Additionally, you should have a background in managing large, complex construction projects.   • Oversee and advance projects from construction through Project Closeout to handover to O&M/Asset Management, managing multiple construction and pre-construction projects simultaneously
  • Conduct weekly meetings for design reviews, coordination with local utility operators, site coordination, and project updates, while tracking contractual requirements and deliverables for all project contracts
  • Manage construction contracts, invoices, change order requests, submittals, and RFIs, and assist with bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and contract execution
  • Support project financing activities, including preparing responses to technical and construction-focused questions from the investor’s Independent Engineers, and managing project schedules and updates
  • Develop and implement inspection, testing, and commissioning plans, coordinating and facilitating communications with all internal and external project stakeholders

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • A minimum of seven (7) years working experience in construction management of large, complex projects, including training and/or certifications

What You Can Expect

As the Wind and Solar Area Manager, for this the West Texas region you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of four (4) Wind generation and Solar project sites. Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising six (6) direct reports.  In your capacity as the head of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, budgets, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on Profit and Loss responsibility for regional performance.

 

You manage all areas of responsibility in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, environmental requirements, company policies and procedures, the company’s annual operations plan, legal and contractual requirements, and good wind and solar industry practices. Additionally, you take all necessary actions to protect the facility’s operating permits, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

 

Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Reliability Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-sites.

 

  • You will need to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar sites
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical diploma/high school diploma and seven (7) years’ experience in a related industry where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years previous experience in supervision of technical, operating or maintenance personnel
  • In-depth knowledge of wind, solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) power generating equipment and technologies
  • Working knowledge of solar power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
  • You should be able to effectively lead and manage multiple teams, as well as communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face

  • You are client-oriented and flexible.
  • A good knowledge of English is a must.
  • You are willing to make international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.
  • Mobility by car is necessary so an international driving license “B” is required.

What You Can Expect

As the Project Finance Advisor, you will provide Energy Solutions' (ES) public and private customers with expert consulting on financing for energy solutions across the United States. You will monitor legislative, regulatory, and market changes, research state and federal financing programs, and guide customers—especially school districts, colleges, and government agencies—on securing financing and grants. Collaborating with ENGIE’s Business Development and Operations teams, and the Commercial and Risk Director, you will drive these initiatives.

 

In this position, you will work with the sales and marketing teams to identify, develop, and acquire new customers, expediting contract closures by delivering essential financing information. By consulting with Chief Financial Officers and Vice Presidents of Finance, you'll create tailored financing solutions that remove funding obstacles in the sales process. You'll also advise sales management on high-potential clients, ensuring resources are focused on the most profitable opportunities. Additionally, you will develop sector-specific financing guidelines to support the sales force.

 

Your responsibilities include conducting risk reviews to validate project economics and financing assumptions, ensuring risk mitigation and optimization of customer cash flow and ES margins. You'll identify new business opportunities from public financing packages and communicate these to sales and operations management. You will ensure thorough credit screenings for prospective customers and review requirements for those nearing contract finalization.

 

You will also handle special projects like Mergers &Acquisitions (M & A) due diligence, refining standard procedures, enhancing pricing models, and creating unique financial models for energy projects. Working with leadership, you'll establish new internal financing programs, including Private Label Programs and state-mandated conduit financing programs. You'll stay informed on rebates, incentives, and funding opportunities related to ENGIE’s products, coordinating with the policy and regulatory team to track and promote new funding sources. As the Project Finance Advisor you'll present insights on incentive, rebate, and grant projects to shape business development strategy.

 

This position can be remote in California, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, or New York or located in one of ENGIE’s Offices and will report to the Commercial and Risk Director.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Finance/Economics
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in leasing, corporate, public, or federal finance industries
  • Experience in pricing, structuring, modeling, risk control, portfolio management, finance and/or accounting

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on as needed basis
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight

Compensation

What You Can Expect

ENGIE North America is hiring a Solar Technician for our Solar Site located near Temple, TX.  

 

Your daily responsibilities begin with accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs.

 

  • Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
  • Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
  • While you will primarily work independently on-site, there will always be a nearby technician for safety support; the site's team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician. You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 50 miles of the site.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites
  • Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
