What You Can Expect

As our Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team of engineers to execute large-scale construction projects from inception to operation for a diverse portfolio of technology in the energy sector. The Engineering team is critical in supporting the delivery of large capital projects safely, on budget, and on time, within the Energy Solutions North America business unit.

 

This position requires a strategic leader who can lead the development and construction of complex installations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and mitigate risks during the life of a project.  This person will be accountable for the team that is responsible for all aspects of design for energy systems encompassing the production and distribution of electricity, chilled water, heating hot water, and steam, along with the distribution of natural gas. This role will also lead the deployment of management systems, procedures, processes, and templates to streamline and industrialize the implementation of projects across the division.

 

  • For business development projects or acquisitions, this role will highly interface with the business development team based in Houston. For projects at existing partnerships, this role will liaise with the other members of the Local Capital Projects Team including, but not limited to, Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Iowa University in Iowa City, IA and Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

 

You will report to the Vice President of Major Projects & IPOS.        

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • You have a minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering role related to utility or power infrastructure projects, 3 of those years’ experience should be in a management or leadership role
  • You have experience leading and managing an engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation to create a collaborative and high-performance team environment
  • You will create and maintain engineering standards for all disciplines including but not limited to electrical, instrumentation and controls, mechanical, to enhance efficiency and optimize operational margins
  • You will advise business development teams during early-stage opportunity development processes by sizing and selecting equipment and performing due diligence activities; stages of overall involvement include sales and development, design and permitting, procurement, and construction
  • You will assist in the development of contracts by drafting the scope of work and technical exhibits such as performance exhibits, review of bid proposals, and contract negotiations by providing input on the technical scope
  • You will establish and enforce quality control for all internal and external produced engineering deliverables, accountable for overall quality of all engineering documentation
  • You have experience developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor engineering status, compliance, and performance for every large project
  • You will create an Engineering Community to enhance people’s skills, knowledge, and share lessons learned to grow the competency of the engineering project function
  • You will act as center of excellence in terms of developing innovative solutions and implementing best practices to bring this know-how into our business and capital projects development and execution efforts
  • You will champion a culture of collaboration by actively engaging with other Global Business Units in North America and in the ENGIE Group to solidify our engineering solutions and exceed business expectations

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As our Asset Operations Tech I you will be responsible for executing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets in Northern California.  You will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling and coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. This field-based position will work across departments to communicate updates and will require frequent travel, primarily to four facilities in Northern California. As such, candidate must reside within 30 minutes of our Ripon, CA area facilities.

  

Every day you will be responsible for keeping the battery storage plants up and running, coordinate with various Original Equipment Manufactures “OEMs”, internal and external maintenance partners, provide hands-on troubleshooting of on-site technical issues, perform deviation detection and mitigation on the operating battery plants. You will communicate with internal departments, Performance Management, Asset Management, and Remote Operations teams to report any issues or needs and support issues resolutions coordinating with internal teams, OEMs and EMS providers. You will support reliability improvement plans via coordinating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum high school diploma or technical certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years of electrical experience or comparable industrial experience, such as in the power sector, military experience working with diesel generators or power systems, or experience in the oil & gas industry with maintenance or service of heavy machinery, which is beneficial in lieu of battery storage experience
  • A curious and analytical mindset, capable of identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions

Purpose of the job

The Settlements Analyst is responsible for working with colleagues to maintain the Back Office function for EUM’s UK trading activities. This includes the development, maintenance and use of an effective system for settlement, payment, validation, and provision of month end reporting information.  The Settlements Analyst is also expected to contribute to developing and maintaining a reputation for the Back Office as a provider of accurate, efficient and timely information to its internal and external stakeholders, which include Finance teams within ENGIE, counterparty Back Offices, Risk Management teams and Group Reporting

 

About the role

This role is part of the Back Office team within FINOPS, working alongside a team of six. We are looking to hire a Settlement Analyst for our London office. This is a permanent, hybrid position, working 37 hours per week, with two days spent in the office

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Validation and Confirmation of transactions across a wide range of commodity markets and with trading counterparties (internal and external) for all UK trading activities. This includes trades executed on exchanges and Over the Counter (OTC) directly with counterparties under various contract structures. Maintain a system for tracking outstanding confirmations and liaise with counterparties to ensure all outstanding confirmations are received.
  • Invoicing: Accurate preparation and validation of commodity invoices, associated fees (including broker fees, gas shipping and transportation charges) and some ancillary services. 
  • Daily cash margining process: agree daily cash margin (also referred to as cash collateral) exposures with trading counterparties. This is a time sensitive process that involves daily payments by set deadlines and being proactive in following up if there are late responses and/or mismatches.
  • Query Resolution: Have a thorough understanding of commodities and contract structures traded to successfully resolve queries from internal and external counterparties.
  • Compliance control: Review deals from a compliance and control point of view and flag up for corrective action (e.g. errors and breaches by traders)
  • Financial Control:  Liaise with colleagues in the wider business to ensure cash settlement occurs and follow up late payments with counterparties where necessary.
  • Internal Control, Best Practise and Audit:  Develop and maintain clear and logical administrative processes with efficient audit trails. Assist with audit queries as and when they arise. Strive to develop the Back Office as an area of “Best Practise”.
  • Financial and Trading Reporting:  Ensure all required information is provided under agreed deadlines to various users including:
    • Finance teams - for cash forecasting, gross margin reporting and month end reporting
    • Risk Management- for trading reports
    • Wider areas of the business for ad-hoc analysis
  • Compliance with Contractual Terms:  Ensure all Back Office processes are carried out in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Regulatory reporting: support Back Office team with regulatory reporting (REMIT, EMIR etc)
  • Various Ad-Hoc Tasks, including:
    • provide knowledge and support during Trade System improvement projects.
    • propose and participate in improving processes and tools (e.g., automate manual tasks, update and improve existing tools etc.)
  • Back up cover for the team – provide cover for the Back Office team when colleagues are out of the office (e.g., holiday/sick leave cover)

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Experience working  in a Back Office environment within the UK/European energy industry
  • Experience with an ETRM system for the energy industry such as Orchestrade (OT) is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (candidates with coding skills will be considered favourably, e.g., VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, advanced MS Excel etc)
  • Experience in back office process automation and digitalisation.
  • Experience in large scale systems projects / or equivalent project work.
  • Awareness of UK VAT rules (not essential but desirable)
  • Focus on automation and eliminating manual/inefficient processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment

About the Role

  • Undertake Supplier audits to ensure ISCC, RHI and FT compliance
  • Assume responsibility for interacting with Energy Management for sale of RGGO/REGOs
  • Work with Energy Management Portfolio Manager to ensure correct volumes are hedged as per hedging policy

Job Purpose:

As a Data Center Manager, you will be responsible for developing an established team, as well as leading and assisting in the development of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure.   • Vei asigura realizarea în teren a activităților prevăzute în OS + anexe, respectarea prevederilor ALR, Programului de lucru, Permisului de lucru cu foc, Autorizației de construcție/intervenție, Planului de securitate șantier.
  • Vei asigura coordonarea lucrărilor pe rețeaua de distribuție gaze naturale în cazul unui incident când este desemnat de Sef de Exploatare (SE) sau în cazul declanșării PLANULUI de Organizare a Intervenției Gaz – ORIGAZ.
  • Vei gestiona situațiile de urgență, conform Planului ORIGAZ, în aria de activitate.
  • Vei verifica compatibilitatea lucrărilor MC, MP ținând cont de particularitățile tehnice ale acestora.
  • Vei asigura identificarea corectă a lucrărilor înregistrarea corecta a datelor în sistemele informatice utilizate.
  • Vei asigura urmărirea lucrărilor realizate de către terti în zona de siguranță a rețelei de distribuție,  modalitățile de lucru și obligațiile pe care aceștia trebuie să le respecte atunci când se realizează astfel de lucrări.
  • Te vei asigura de descărcarea zilnica a datelor din dispozitivele mobile utilizate în activitatea de depistare pierderi gaze.
  • Vei transmite către GIS și BEX modificările survenite în rețeaua de distribuție gaze naturale.
  • Vei alege modul de semnalizare a zonelor de lucru și calitatea lucrărilor de aducere la starea inițială a suprafețelor de teren afectate de lucrările de săpătură, pentru activitățile de exploatare.
  • Vei răspunde de activitatea zilnica a echipelor de lucru pe care le coordonează prin distribuirea ordinelor de serviciu zilnice, asigurând astfel folosirea eficientă a timpului de lucru.
  • Vei controla permanent modul de lucru din șantier, asigurând prezenta la toate închiderile de rețea.
  • Vei urmări activitatea de terasamente, vei verifica în sistem corectitudinea introducerii datelor pentru locațiile unde este necesară această activitate.
  • Vei realiza verificări ale lucrărilor efectuate de terti în rețelele de distribuție gaze naturale și vei întocmi referate de constatare.

 

 

Cerinte:

As the Project Controls Advisor you will work within the Finance and Project Controls team within the Flexible Generation Business Unit.   • Be the responsible within Flexible Generation for finance processes through the preparation of consolidated budgets for investment approvals, annual budget and business plan, and financing processes (tax financings, sell-down and partnerships)
  • Prepare monthly cash flow reports for the complete portfolio of projects, comparing approved budgets and up-to-date best estimates incl. monthly distribution

What You’ll Bring
