What You Can Expect

As our Application Management Advisor in Houston, Texas, Boston, Massachusetts, Columbus, Ohio or Washington, DC for ENGIE North America to play a crucial role in operating and maintaining Energy Solutions applications portfolio and creating application road maps. Everyday, you will report to the Application Management Director to assist with managing the end-to-end lifecycle of applications, including planning, development, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Other day to day activities will consist of:

 

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet business requirements and are aligned with organizational goals
  • Monitor application performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application-related issues
  • Develop and maintain documentation for application processes, procedures, and configurations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in application management and incorporate them into the organization's practices
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for all applications

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science or a related technical field with seven (7) years of experience in application management in a professional setting; in lieu of a four-year degree, you should bring a total of nine (9) years of experience in which you have gained an understanding of application lifecycle management

  • Proven experience with Maximo and or Procore applications
  • Expert knowledge of application monitoring and management software

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; in office three (3) days a week
  • Must be available to travel domestically 30% to 50% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As the Ecological Restoration / Vegetation Management Advisor based in Houston, TX, you will ensure that ecological restoration and vegetation management strategies are developed, implemented and effectively maintained across all ENGIE Renewables sites.  You will work closely with the development and delivery teams to identify and implement vegetation management strategies for new projects.  You will be responsible for ensuring site preparation and seeding during the delivery phase and managing the operational phase, including coordinating contractors for mowing, grazing, or other methods. This role requires collaboration across teams to support the success of vegetation management throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Reporting to the VP, Field Operations, your primary duties will encompass:

 

  • Keeping up to date with innovation and industry best practices and acting as subject matter expert in relation to ecological restoration, vegetation management, agrivoltaics (such as sheep grazing), pollinator habitat and other related activities.
  • Ensuring sites remain compliant with regulatory requirements, planning consents and land lease obligations along with any other such requirements. Including the tracking and closure of consent and licensing conditions
  • Conducting ecological restoration related fieldwork, including assessment of site conditions, noxious weed mapping, storm water pollution prevention planning, auditing of restoration works and restoration monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards
  • Working closing with teams across development, construction and operations and maintenance to develop ecologically minded site restoration strategies / specifications, including seed mixes, biodiversity enhancements, monitoring protocols, and vegetation maintenance plans for use during a project’s planning, construction, and operations phases
  • Drafting technical memos and reports, along with other project support materials as needed
  • Identification and assessment of suitably qualified and experienced vegetation management contractors, drafting of scopes along with the tendering, letting and day to day management of contracts
  • Communicating effectively regarding the scope and schedule of restoration and vegetation management activities to be performed, onsite along with ongoing monitoring and maintenance required by site teams
  • Assessment and approval of weed abatement treatments for use on site including pesticides and herbicides.
  • Completes other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in restoration ecology, natural resource management, environmental science, conservation biology, or a closely related discipline; In lieu of the educational requirement, we will accept a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant industry experience in vegetation management & ecology restoration
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail

As our Senior Accountant, you'll ensure timely and accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting.   • Perform monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and IFRS reporting requirements to ENGIE parent company
  • Prepare and deliver partnership financial statements and other reporting as requested
  • Work with Project Management teams to ensure all project finances are accurately reflected and reconciled  Will establish and lead recurring meetings to discuss project status, review outstanding receivables and commitments, and cash flow position

As a Power Grid Modeling and Forecasting Advisor, you will report to Congestion Trading Director and will develop long term grid scenarios for the California Independent System Operator (CAISO)/Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) footprint and forecast nodal price curves using production cost modeling tools.

 

  • Develop and execute appropriate scenario studies pertinent to the period of study and systematically analyzing the results
  • Execute production cost models - Day-Ahead Locational Market Clearing Prices Analyzer (Dayzer) by systematically analyzing and updating the inputs as appropriate
  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to analyze and form fundamental views with respect to macro-trends
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and micro-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits)
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to the enhance fundamental trading
  • Participate in Independent System Operator (ISO) meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve relevant tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in which you completed courses in relevant disciplines (Engineering/Business/Finance etc.)
  • A minimum of seven years professional experience
  • A minimum of five years of grid planning or wholesale electricity market experience in CAISO/WECC or relevant ISO

As the ROCC Operator I located in Houston, TX, you will be working under the supervision of the ROCC Supervisor and in collaboration with Engineering, IT and Operations stakeholders, to monitor and coordinate the Real Time operation of ENGIE’s 4.5 GW of renewable fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage assets across North America from the 24/7/365 Renewable Operations Control Center to ensure stable and reliable operation of generation facilities.

 

Every shift, you will complete daily monitoring duties, to include maintenance of a thorough operations log and completion of shift checklists, track progress using CROW software, and work through a customized orientation packet designed for onboarding ROCC operators at ENGIE.

 

  • Ensure the reliable operation of ENGIE renewable assets, to include maintaining continual communication with on-site personnel and Asset Managers 
  • Implement and coordinate ENGIE asset outages as needed to support preventive and corrective maintenance
  • During abnormal system operating conditions or when sites have individual problems, evaluate the situation, direct and coordinate the solution in collaboration with on-site personnel and ROCC supervision

 

 

 What You’ll Bring

You understand the operation of substations, including the operations of high and medium voltage equipment. You will assist site managers and operations engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans. Your engineering expertise is crucial in preparing and reviewing reports, maintenance, and monitoring plans, and analyzing data to ensure environmental goals and objectives are adequately addressed. You provide electrical, high-voltage, collection system, and substation support to operating renewable projects. Additionally, you assist site managers and construction engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans. You lead the development and continuous improvement of commissioning, maintenance, and standard operating procedures. You review maintenance records and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliability and compliance with applicable NERC standards. You develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team, including misoperations, root cause analysis (Six-sigma, DMAIC, fish-bone), and safety-related events. Your knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI, is extensive. You are able to articulate, communicate, mentor, and provide guidance on addressing underperforming assets and develop plans to prioritize their return to service.
