What You Can Expect

As our Maintenance Planner I, at Georgetown University you will be responsible for reducing the overall maintenance costs by improving the maintenance planning, ordering, and management of spares & consumables. Mission 

As a Quantity Surveyor (QS) within a Project Management Consultant (PMC) team for a data center project, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success and efficiency of the project. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the cost aspects of the project, from initial budgeting to final account settlement.

Cost Planning:

• Develop comprehensive cost plans based on project scope, design drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare cost estimates for various project stages, including tendering, construction, and maintenance.

Tendering and Contract Administration:

• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
• Evaluate tender submissions and recommend suitable contractors based on cost and quality.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure favorable pricing and risk allocation.
• Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including variations, claims, and final account settlement.

Cost Control:

Value Engineering:

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with B360, ACC, Navisworks Manage, Revit, and AutoCAD.
