Job Purpose:

The DC Site Engineer with experience in technical support as well as data centre operations is responsible for the maintenance of UPS Systems & Electrical Systems in the DCs and ensures support for the other departments for the smooth running of the Gulf Data Hub Organisation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Audit for all Processes and SLAs
  • Backup for DC SITE MANAGER & SITE COORDINATOR

Skills Required:

  • Should have thorough experience in UPS Systems, Electrical Systems [optional / add-on advantage: Generators & basic HVAC Systems]
  • Experience of Troubleshooting in UPS Systems & Electrical Systems [optional: Generators & basic HVAC Systems]
  • Good presentation & preparation skills for reports demonstrations to Customers & Clients
  • Expert across all technical aspects within the scope of the role.
  • Good knowledge of DC processes and policies.
  • English Read/write/speak is mandatory.
  • Experience of Datacenter MEP Infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to university level and/or relevant industry certification with vast relevant industry

Role Summary

Responsibilities in this role include the design of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Measures (ECM), performing site audits, specifying equipment, and completing savings calculations to support projects in development and construction. Projects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations, to help local cities, schools, and counties become more sustainable, save money, and improve services to their end-users and the expectation is that one to several projects are supported from early development through post-construction.

 

This position is located in Oakland, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on an engineering discipline
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience
  • Demonstrate good  written and  verbal  communication skills in report writing and correspondence
  • Excellent communication skills with employees and customers
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office suite and engineering software

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time including some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500 – $114,195 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.

What You Can Expect

As a Wastewater Engineer II, you will support the development and implementation of innovative wastewater treatment solutions for large-scale public sector projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and team members to design systems that help public agencies improve sustainability, reduce costs, and enhance services. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing project concepts, specifying equipment, estimating costs, and performing site audits to assess the operational impacts of proposed solutions.

 

You’ll collaborate on engineering design drawings and project specifications, ensuring projects meet technical requirements and client needs. From early development through post-construction, you’ll provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful project outcomes. You'll also participate in customer interactions to ensure solutions are tailored to their unique needs. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in a dynamic, team-based environment, helping to build more sustainable communities.

 

In this position you must be willing and able to work at the Wastewater jobsite at least four (4) days per week in Richmond, CA. This is not a remote position and will report to the Director of Project Management.
