Ce vei face:

  • Vei asigura suportul necesar experților SSM:
    • pentru definirea cerințelor de Securitate și Sănătate în muncă din faza de proiectare, inclusiv pentru includerea în bugetul proiectului a tuturor echipamentelor și altor componente  asociate cerințelor SSM;
    • în etapa de precalificare și de evaluare a ofertei (sub)contractanților/furnizorilor în timpul procesului de selecție și în definirea criteriile H&S relevante ca parte a procedurii de selecție (chestionar dedicat RFI);
    • pentru descrierea obiectivelor SSM și conceperea indicatorilor de performanță SSM pentru proiect.
  • Vei evalua riscurile de sănătate și securitate și te vei asigura că acestea sunt încorporate în mod corespunzător în managementul riscurilor proiectului; vei acorda suport în evaluarea riscurilor de accidentare și îmbolnăvire profesională
  • Vei coordona dezvoltarea și punerea în aplicare a Planului de management în domeniul securității și sănătății în muncă
  • Vei comunica cerințele contractuale SSM, stabilite din faza de proiectare, inclusiv evaluările de riscuri, către toate persoanele implicate în implementarea proiectului;
  • Vei asigura alinierea sistemelor de management SSM ale părților implicate, pe toată durata de pregătire și execuție a lucrărilor
  • Vei face instruiri colective în domeniul SSM, pentru personalul  (sub)contractorilor, în conformitate cu prevederile contractuale
  • Te vei asigura că planul de intervenție în caz de urgență, exercițiile de gestionare a crizelor și procedurile de investigare a incidentelor există și sunt puse în aplicare în faza de execuție
  • Vei menține legătura cu echipele SSM ale (sub)contractorilor și te vei asigura că există o înțelegere comună a domeniului de aplicare/specificațiilor pentru cerințele de SSM
  • Vei participa la efectuarea de investigații adecvate a incidentelor și accidentelor produse în cadrul șantierului și vei transmite constatările/lecțiile învățate
  • Vei realiza activitatea de monitorizare, inspecții, audituri în scopul verificării respectării cerințelor SSM incluse în contract și asigurarea faptului că activitățile sunt controlate în mod adecvat și că orice abatere de la metodele de lucru planificate este evaluată în mod corespunzător, înainte de implementare

 

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

  • Studii superioare finalizate cu diplomă de licență;
  • Curs inspector securitate și sănătate în muncă, durata de minimum 80 de ore;
  • Experiență minim 2 ani în activitățile de teren specifice construcțiilor;
  • Experiență minim 6 luni  în activități care presupun proiecte tehnice și lucrul cu prestatorii de servicii/ constructori;
  • Permis de conducere categoria B;
  • Cunoștinte privind legislația domeniului de activitate;
  • Cunoștinte Pachet Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) și SAP;
  • Competențe de gestionare a relației cu clientul și a situațiilor conflictuale;
  • Capacitate de organizare, analiză și sinteză;
  • Comunicare clară și convingătoare, atât verbal cât și în scris;
  • Capacitatea de lucru sub presiunea timpului și disponibilitatea la sarcini neplanificate;
  • Capacitate de analiză, sinteză, previziune și planificare;
  • Atitudine proactivă în previzionare, în soluționarea problemelor și realizarea obiectivelor;
  • Exigență, rigoare profesională;
  • Orientare spre performanță.

What You Can Expect
As the Health and Safety Advisor you will assist in the development and implementation of a Health and Safety (H&S) Management System and an Environmental Management System (EMS) that encompass standards of excellence, programs, policies, procedures, and processes (4Ps) for ENGIE’s Global Business Unit (GBU) Renewable & Flex Power North America. Your focus will be on supporting the Business Unit’s project development, construction, and operational activities. You will be responsible for partnering with all staff to influence an organizational culture that leads to an injury-free working environment.

 

  • Supports development and evolution of a H&S strategic plan in collaboration with  leadership and H&S staff throughout ENGIE North America.  The plan must address working environments in Renewables, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction, operational and Green Hydrogen sites
  • Support HSE database management and provides required monthly statistical reports to GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America corporate and Business Entity (BE) leadership.  Tracks the performance and progress of action plans, programs and processes
  • Conducts regular onsite training, supervision, compliance audits, incident investigations, and safety cultural assessments
  • As directed, leads serious incident investigations into High Potential (HiPo) incidents, including those that result in a lost time accident.  Applies Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) tools when conducting investigations to determine causal factors.  Identifies countermeasures to prevent recurrence and eliminate deviations from the standard
  • Provides guidance and acts as a role model for GBU HSE full time professionals, site managers, front line supervisors and general foremen in the effective implementation of the 4Ps
  • Supports design of the GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America HSE Management System in accordance with the ISO 45001 standard.  Researches new or revised OSHA regulatory requirements.  Anticipates changes and updates the 4Ps as required with follow on training for effective implementation
  • Supports development of the GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America H&S budget in collaboration with the HSE team
  • Manages the selection of third-party HSE auditors, consultants and contractors
  • Has a strong, proven track record of creating positive rapport with field personnel.  Supports and implements a communication strategy that promotes leadership engagement between management, front line supervisors, foremen, technicians / craft personnel and contractors to create a culture where HSE is a principle and not a priority
  • Supports implementation of observation programs that focus on pre-job/task activities.  Ensures the Job Safety Plan process permeates down to the granularity of the specific task assigned
  • Benchmarks the current state of safe work procedures against a “Best in Class” standard.  Orchestrates plans to close identified gaps in coordination with GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America H&S team
  • Coordinates reviews of contractor safety plans and procedures to assure their standard is equal or more stringent than GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America’s safety criteria as stipulated in the procurement Terms & Conditions.  Audits to ensure contractor H&S contractual obligations are understood and respected
  • Participates in process safety assessments on projects throughout the design phase
  • Develops and implements safe work management processes and programs including risk assessment, Lock-Out-Tag-Out and Permit to Work.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned


 

What You’ll Bring

  • Associates Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or Business, certifications in OSHA Safety and Certified Safety Professional or other recognized BCSP Certifications
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in electrical energy production, storage and distribution in design, construction and operational phases
  • Subject matter expert in OSHA (US) CFR 29 Parts 1910 / 1926
  • Exhibit mastery of root cause failure analysis tools and their application for recordable events
  • Possess superior verbal, written, interpersonal, public speaking, facilitation and presentation communication skills when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with behavioral science and the psychology behind influencing change
  • Experience in commercial and industrial construction environments
  • Exhibit high levels of emotional intelligence as a team leader in the creation of a desire-based vs. compliance-based safety culture
  • Proficient in database management, Pareto analyses and the design of executive level dashboard / graphical displays in direct support of essential job functions
  • In-depth knowledge of the change management process
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to operating assets and active construction projects. 
  • This role requires daily attendance at a worksite 
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 75% of the time and with the need for  overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record rental cars through ENGIE 
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee can be exposed to weather conditions 
  • The position consists of 50% work indoors and 50% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually 

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

About the Role

Are you passionate about safety and eager to make a difference? Storengy Stublach Gas Storage Plant in the heart of Cheshire is the largest onshore natural gas storage asset in the UK.  We are seeking a dedicated SHE Co-Ordinator to join our team.

 

In this role, you will champion safety standards across our Stublach Site and support the SHEQ Manager in driving continuous improvement in SHE performance. Your efforts will help us maintain high safety standards and ensure a safe working environment for all.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily SHE reviews of work activities across the Stublach Site.
  • Attend daily plant coordination meetings to ensure effective communication regarding Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) between Operations and Projects teams.
  • Deliver and coordinate SHE training for Storengy UK staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Serve as the focal point for all SHE event reporting and ensure all events are logged in the SHEQ digital management system.
  • Compile weekly and monthly SHE statistics for the Storengy SA group.
  • Develop and deliver Toolbox Talks (TBTs) and Safety Bulletins on SHE themes.
  • Review internal and contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements from a SHE perspective.
  • Ensure PPE stock levels are maintained and issued as required.
  • Monitor compliance with the Managers Site Visits schedule and site audit programme.
  • Conduct SHEQ technical reviews of contractor pre-qualification responses and attend pre-construction meetings.
  • Provide SHE input during routine Operations/Maintenance team meetings.
  • Maintain waste management records and monitor site recycling and waste segregation.
  • Contribute to safety days and initiatives, promoting ‘One Safety’ and ‘Safety Essentials’ programmes.
  • Assist the SHEQ Manager with Safety Management System (SMS) implementation, including procedure review and document control.

 

Skills and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a SHE function in a similar industry.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of relevant UK SHE legislation, standards, and practices (e.g., COMAH, MHASWA, PSSR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH).
  • Ability to apply rules and safety procedures during activities and reviews.
  • Training development and delivery skills in safety, occupational health, and environmental topics.
  • Capability to support incident investigations and identify root causes.
  • Demonstrate high standards in SHE performance and behaviours on site.

 

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety (or working towards).

What You Can Expect

As the Health and Safety Advisor, based in Houston, TX, you will assist in the development and implementation of a Health and Safety (H&S) Management System and an Environmental Management System (EMS) that encompass standards of excellence, programs, policies, procedures, and processes (4Ps) for ENGIE’s Global Business Unit (GBU) Renewable & Flex Power North America. Your focus will be on supporting the Business Unit’s project development, construction, and operational activities. You will be responsible for partnering with all staff to influence an organizational culture that leads to an injury-free working environment.

 

Reporting to the Director of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) your primary duties encompass:

 

  • Supports development and evolution of a H&S strategic plan in collaboration with executive leadership and H&S staff throughout ENGIE North America.  The plan must address working environments in Renewables, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction, operational and Green Hydrogen sites
  • Support HSE database management and provides required monthly statistical reports to GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America corporate and Business Entity (BE) executives.  Tracks the performance and progress of action plans, programs and processes
  • Conducts regular onsite training, supervision, compliance audits, incident investigations, and safety cultural assessments
  • As directed, leads serious incident investigations into High Potential (HiPo) incidents, including those that result in a lost time accident.  Applies Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) tools when conducting investigations to determine causal factors.  Identifies countermeasures to prevent recurrence and eliminate deviations from the standard
  • Provides guidance and acts as a role model for GBU HSE full time professionals, site managers, front line supervisors and general foremen in the effective implementation of the 4Ps
  • Supports design of the GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America HSE Management System in accordance with the ISO 45001 standard.  Researches new or revised OSHA regulatory requirements.  Anticipates changes and updates the 4Ps as required with follow on training for effective implementation
  • Supports development of the GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America H&S budget in collaboration with the HSE team
  • Manages the selection of third-party HSE auditors, consultants and contractors
  • Has a strong, proven track record of creating positive rapport with field personnel.  Supports and implements a communication strategy that promotes leadership engagement between management, front line supervisors, foremen, technicians / craft personnel and contractors to create a culture where HSE is a principle and not a priority
  • Supports implementation of observation programs that focus on pre-job/task activities.  Ensures the Job Safety Plan process permeates down to the granularity of the specific task assigned
  • Benchmarks the current state of safe work procedures against a “Best in Class” standard.  Orchestrates plans to close identified gaps in coordination with GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America H&S team
  • Coordinates reviews of contractor safety plans and procedures to assure their standard is equal or more stringent than GBU Renewable & Flex Power North America’s safety criteria as stipulated in the procurement Terms & Conditions.  Audits to ensure contractor H&S contractual obligations are understood and respected
  • Participates in process safety assessments on projects throughout the design phase
  • Develops and implements safe work management processes and programs including risk assessment, Lock-Out-Tag-Out and Permit to Work.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Business or a similar degree
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in electrical energy production, storage and distribution in design, construction and operational phases
  • Subject matter expert in OSHA (US) CFR 29 Parts 1910 / 1926
  • Exhibit mastery of root cause failure analysis tools and their application for recordable events
  • Possess superior verbal, written, interpersonal, public speaking, facilitation and presentation communication skills when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with behavioral science and the psychology behind influencing change
  • Experience in commercial and industrial construction environments
  • Exhibit high levels of emotional intelligence as a team leader in the creation of a desire-based vs. compliance-based safety culture
  • Proficient in database management, Pareto analyses and the design of executive level dashboard / graphical displays in direct support of essential job functions
  • In-depth knowledge of the change management process
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote when not traveling
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 75% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consist of 50% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and enter confined spaces as required to complete safety audits and assess job site conditions for working environment hazards.
  • Could involve some lifting

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

IMS (OHSAS, EMS)

 

·Implementation of IMS system at sites and monitor the compliance of the same.                            

 

·Conduct site safety audits for Health, Safety & Environment compliances as per ISO 14001, ISO 45001.                   

 

·To ensure recording of all near misses and accidents.                     

 

·Reporting of IMS status to HO-HSE time to time.

  • You have a certificate as a safety advisor level 1 or level 2.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety, and a certificate as an environmental coordinator and safety coordinator are a plus.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy engaging with both technical and business partners.
  • You are willing to travel to sites across Belgium.
