 Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide reliable and accurate financial and management advice.
  • Build, mentor, coach, and refine the finance team.
  • Lead and direct budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop internal control procedures to increase efficiency of operations and minimize business exposure.
  • Own the country financial model, using it to forecast EBITDA targets and the impact of strategy decisions on business performance.

Detailed Description

Financial & Operational Strategy:

  • Create and continuously refine country finance strategy.
  • Negotiate a pipeline of local currency debt to safeguard receivables against forex depreciation.
  • Own the country financial model, using it to forecast EBITDA targets and the impact of strategy decisions on business performance.
  • Ensure a line-by-line budget & forecast by all departments and support preparation where required.
  • Support and drive maintenance/achievement of financial sustainability by guaranteeing:
    • 100% Punctual Funding vs Budget to support business operations.
  • Manage and analyze Cash-Flow and working capital requirements by:
    • Understanding the source and uses of cash and maintain integrity of funds received/generated.
    • Cash-flow forecasting to determine acceptable levels of trending balances.
    • Actively liaise with other teams for critical funding needs and shortage risks.
    • Monitor and control accurate records of receivables, safe inventory levels and negotiate favorable credit terms with local suppliers. 
  • Continually monitor and refine the effectiveness of country financial strategies, gathering evidence in the process to inform the commercial strategy. 

Business Performance, Financial and Management Reporting

  • Understand the business model for generating customer value and translates the operational metrics into measures for performance using dashboards and financial statement ratio analysis.
  • Prepare management accounts and provide insights on deviations to budget, commentary on periodic performance and support Country Director with tactical moves accordingly.
  • Generate both regular and ad hoc insights for action so that the business can maintain excellent financial health:
  • Work closely with department heads to understand monthly expenses referring to the budget vs Actuals , monitor spending and drive efficiencies in cost centers.

Tax and Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local tax requirements and timely submission of all tax returns.
  • Ensure efficient tax structures are in place and are properly administered.
  • Keep abreast of changes in relevant local regulatory environment and communicates major changes to the group.
  • Ensure company compliance for all financial record control including real estate contracts and leases.
  • Keep tax non-compliance risk as low as possible by proactive education and documentation review, approval, and accounting.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop relationships with relevant actors and maintain networks throughout the business environment.
  • Work closely with the following stakeholders to provide strategic finance and administrative support as needed
  • Develop and maintain mutual beneficial business relationships to assist, protect and enhance the company’s image in the community which includes Tax Authorities, External Auditors, Banks, Regulatory Bodies, Shareholders, Lawyers, Insurance and Brokers Entities, and any other relevant to the business.

Governance & Risk

  • Internal control maintenance, identification, profiling and reporting potential risks as well as propose and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensures financial audits are completed in time and statutory books closing occurs as appropriate.
  • Responds to Auditor queries effectively and communicated any significant matters to the Country Director.
  • Ensure adherence to financial spending policies and procedures.
  • Procurement principles in place to ensure value for money.

People Management & Leadership

  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed for execution of financial functions.
  • Build and provide inspiring leadership to a high performing finance team
  • Supervises the activities of the direct reports and ensure quality, service and compliance standards are met and that finance operations run efficiently and effectively to support the business operations.
  • Facilitates training where required to build and develop team’s capacity.

 

Required Skills & Experience

Education / Qualifications

  • B.A or B.S in Accounting and Fellow of CIMA/ACCA. Masters or MBA preferred. 
  • CPA (K) Member

Your working environment

Our entity aims to substantially grow its business in the UAE and Asia (KSA excluded). To reinforce its capacity to increase the sales volume in the region, our entity looks for a senior business developer.

 

The senior business developers are based in the local offices in the abovementioned countries and report to the headquarter organization located in Belgium. All local senior business developers are interfaced with a business developer manager located in Belgium, defining the business development strategy in terms of products/services/R&D to be developed in Asia, and supporting the local senior business developers in the execution of the given strategy. Werkomgeving

Binnen dit departement ben je verantwoordelijk voor projecten (studies en/of aanpassingen) met betrekking tot de kerncentrales in België, met een focus op LTO Ageing (EI&C, mechanische en civiele werken).

 

JOUW TAKEN

 

  • Je beheert / volgt het ontwerp en/of de uitvoering van het project op;
  • Je laat de ontwerp- en investeringsbudgetten opstellen en consolideert deze voor het project in zijn geheel. Je bepaalt het algemene tijdschema, je controleert de diensten die voor het project worden geleverd en je bewaakt de voortgang wat betreft het halen van de leveringstermijnen en de verwachte rentabiliteit;
  • Na overleg met de experts definieer je de taken en geef je je projectteam (dat je functioneel leidt) de bevoegdheid om ze uit te voeren;
  • Je organiseert vergaderingen met de klant en ondersteunt de klant, als partner, bij het leveren van de toegevoegde waarde van Tractebel aan het project;
  • Je verzorgt de interne contacten met de competence centers en ondersteunende departementen (juridisch, financieel, IT, risicobeheer, communicatie, ...);
  • Je coördineert de acties op de interfaces tussen disciplines en u controleert de adequate integratie van de verschillende specialiteiten in het project;
  • Je verzorgt de technische en commerciële contacten met de eventuele klanten en partners en je definieert waar nodig commerciële acties;
  • Je zorgt voor de relevante administratieve taken met betrekking tot de procedures met de ondersteuning van een Project Assistent;

  • Je hebt een ingenieursdiploma ;

Mission:

In full coordination with the Regional HUB Chief security officer, the Country Security Manager leads, coordinates, plans, implements, and organizes security-related activities for all GBUs and other ENGIE entities operating in their country (or area) of responsibility.

In their country (or area of responsibility), they are the pivotal element for all security-related matters, whether they concern the Group or third parties that collaborate with it. They cooperate with all interested parties and actively participate, within the framework of their functions, in protecting our employees, our infrastructures, and our information against malicious acts by ensuring the definition and implementation of prevention/protection measures that mitigate the security risk to an acceptable level.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the country managing director and managers of GBUs (or other Engie entities) operating in the country on security issues,
  • Ensure that the Group's security policy is deployed in their country and that their security action plan is aligned with this policy and with the related Group Guidelines,
  • Maintain and develop liaison with all Engie local entity personnel and, if necessary, with local administrations and appropriate government/military agencies
  • Maintain and develop a dialogue with the security managers by participating in the bimonthly "security gathering”, by regularly transmitting to the Regional HUB CSO the information needed to fill in the security incident reporting tool (or by feeding the tool himself/herself) and by reporting any notable event,
  • Proactively identify, monitor, and respond to potential and actual threats to ENGIE employees, assets, and facilities in their country (or area of responsibility) and provide alerts on immediate threats and emerging trends to managers and, if necessary, to their Regional HUB CSO for informed decision making,
  • Monitor local regulations, technologies, and threats, contribute to the DSIE "threat watch" and facilitate exchanges between the DSIE (and more specifically its business intelligence unit) and the entities/managers for whom the "competitive intelligence" information is relevant,

Profile:

What You Can Expect

As a Power Grid Modeling and Forecasting Advisor, you will report to Congestion Trading Director and will develop long term grid scenarios for the California Independent System Operator (CAISO)/Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) footprint and forecast nodal price curves using production cost modeling tools.

 

  • Develop and execute appropriate scenario studies pertinent to the period of study and systematically analyzing the results
  • Execute production cost models - Day-Ahead Locational Market Clearing Prices Analyzer (Dayzer) by systematically analyzing and updating the inputs as appropriate
  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to analyze and form fundamental views with respect to macro-trends
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and micro-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits)
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to the enhance fundamental trading
  • Participate in Independent System Operator (ISO) meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve relevant tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in which you completed courses in relevant disciplines (Engineering/Business/Finance etc.)

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

We are looking for a Managing Director (m/f) with strong and impressive track record in managing a technical consulting and engineering business, ideally within nuclear sector, and with leadership experience from a consultancy/engineering company, utility, EPC contractor or manufacturer combined with a strong relevant network.

 

Your new potential challenge is to lead Tractebel’s expanding subsidiary in Netherlands.

 

Your function

 

As Managing Director of the Tractebel Engineering SA Dutch Subsidiary, you represent the entity vis-à-vis third parties, including but not limited to clients, local authorities, and local stakeholders and counterparties.

The Managing Director is responsible to manage the overall day-to-day operations and resources of the Subsidiary, and reports to acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors or other governance body as applicable. He/she ensures that the Subsidiary implements, respects, follows and complies  with all Group policies and procedures and applicable local requirements.

He has also the overall responsibility for TE BV Profit & Loss covering business development and project execution. This includes effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making.

 

 

In your function of Managing Director you:

  • Define the short-term, medium-term and long-term strategy for business grow and elaborate the business plan of TE BV;
  • Are responsible for the implementation of the strategic objectives of TE BV, being selective and performance-oriented in all decisions taken;
  • Based on the strategy of TE BV approved by the Board of Directors, you detail the operational plan and ensure its implementation;
  • Participate in the business development and sales activity of TE BV, in collaboration with the Business Development and Sales Department;
  • Are responsible for the performance to reach the targets (production, net result, performance indicators, QHSE, E&C) with a close follow-up of the SGA;

Your profile 

  • Master’s degree from an accredited engineering and/or business university
  • Your native language is Dutch and you have an excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is a plus
  • Minimum 15 years professional experience in engineering / consulting preferably in nuclear sector with at least 5 years in role with P&L or comparable responsibility preferably in general management;
  • Technical background in the field of nuclear and/or industrial projects that allows you to work on complex projects
  • Proven experience in the development of large business opportunities and in complex sales
  • Proven experience in large industrial project management, contract management and claim management
  • Entrepreneurial experience or willingness to take a true growth challenge

Functie

  • Je verzorgt de interne contacten met onze Métiers (dit zijn de Technische Competence Centres) en de ondersteunende afdelingen (juridisch, financiën, IT, risicobeheer, communicatie, …);
  • Je coördineert de acties op de raakvlakken tussen disciplines en je waakt over de adequate integratie van de verschillende specialismen in het project;

Werkomgeving

 

Binnen de Tractebel Business Area Global Nuclear, kom je terecht in het departement dat verantwoordelijk is voor de Tractebel projecten die we uitvoeren in opdracht van Electrabel. Dit departement is verantwoordelijk voor alle projecten die verband houden met de studies en de aanpassingen van bestaande Belgische kerncentrales (Doel en Tihange), inclusief ontmantelingsprojecten en LTO-projecten (Long Term Operation). Deze projecten kunnen betrekking hebben op pre-haalbaarheidsstudies tot en met de uiteindelijke ingebruikname van de installaties, inclusief haalbaarheids-, ontwerp-, inkoop- en realisatieactiviteiten op locatie.

 

Binnen dit departement ben je verantwoordelijk voor de projecten aan jou toegewezen (studies en/of aanpassingen), telkens met betrekking tot de kerncentrales in België. Je rapporteert hierbij aan de Group Manager Projecten.

 

Uw profiel

 

Minimale vereisten:

  • een Master diploma in Engineering;

Jouw missie
