What You Can Expect

As the Power Marketing Intern, you will support power marketing and sales efforts targeting Corporate and Industrial (C&I) and utility customers to understand their renewable energy and sustainability goals. This position requires balancing a quantitative approach to evaluating risk with strong communication skills to explain renewable energy power purchase concepts concisely to various cross-functional stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support Power Marketing Initiatives: Assist the Power Marketing team in promoting grid-scale solar, solar-plus-storage, and wind projects, including bid evaluation, preparation, and creating presentation materials for customers and buyers.
  • Market Trend and Transaction Analysis: Identify and analyze national industry trends impacting renewable development opportunities, and assess transaction details to identify risks and opportunities for optimizing project revenue.
  • Power Sale Agreements: Support the negotiation and management of long-term power sale agreements with various customers to facilitate the financing and construction of new renewable and/or energy storage projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with ENGIE’s project support teams, including development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading, and transmission analysis teams.
  • Market Research and Data Management: Conduct market research, manage data and data rooms, perform competitive analysis, assist with marketing collateral, and provide various ad hoc analyses.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2nd year undergraduate or graduate degree with at least a current GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Business acumen with an ability to prepare complex quantitative analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills, with exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management skills, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • A desire to learn about renewable energy products and contracts

Compensation

  • SQL server data management and analysis using TSQL and Python
  • ArcGIS Enterprise content management using Python script
  • Develop custom solutions for desktop and web platforms using JavaScript, Python, and/or C#
  • Optimize and enhance existing applications to improve system performance and capacity
  • Support existing web mapping platform, including development web applications, construction trackers, and interactive dashboards

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be at least a junior or senior working toward an undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or related field

  • Strong technical background with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle – designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining tools and applications

As our Acquisitions Investment Financial Advisory (AIFA) Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the valuation and risk analysis of new projects, the structuring and execution of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and project financing transactions. You will work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX office.

 

Every day you will manage interactions with internal project stakeholders and external financial partners to drive the implementation of investment and acquisition financing plans.  In this role, you will develop and maintain detailed financial models to support investment decisions from the start of the development process through the successful closing of an investment or acquisition.  Other responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading the financial modeling and analysis supporting investment decisions for project development and acquisition opportunities
  • Managing internal stakeholders to maintain financial model assumptions, while retaining responsibility for the accuracy and correct incorporation of relevant inputs to such models
  • Presenting investment opportunities to ENGIE leadership, defend project economics and risks in review committees, and prepare the financial analysis required for Investment Committee
  • Providing valuation and structure guidance throughout the business development process, advise on commercial agreements, risk allocation, bankability of contracts, financing alternatives, and expected investment returns
  • Identifying and articulating main project economic and financial risks, define appropriate contingencies, develop creative financing strategies, and negotiate the key financial terms of the transaction documents
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Math, or a STEM-focused degree program where you have learned project management, project financing, investments, equity, mergers, acquisitions, power, energy, or renewable market skills
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience conducting M&A and project finance transactions at an investment bank, private equity fund, or strategic energy company
  • Experience  in analyzing data and utilizing detailed financial models, including Excel-based tools
  • Energy market experience in utility scale renewables, distributed generation (i.e. rooftop solar, etc.), energy services, retail electricity, and natural gas transportation or distribution
  • Commercial acumen with good understanding of accounting topics and tax structures

As the Senior Treasury Analyst in Houston, you will work within Global Business Support (GBS) North America (NORAM) and liaise with Treasury and Finance, Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Accounting & Reporting departments. Primary activities are to be the key contributor in supporting long term cash and liquidity forecasting, monthly & quarterly reporting. You will also play an important role in supporting projects as well as acting as a back-up for key daily cash management activities.

 

In summary, you will perform operations, security and reporting activities within the Treasury and Finance department, including meeting the company’s cash funding needs, electronic payments, cash reporting and forecasting activities, and manage loans.

 

  • Serve as a Primary Security Administrator for North American banks using bank software and relying on knowledge of ENGIE policies and procedures in order to prevent unauthorized access to company bank accounts
  • Manage bank account security using fraud prevention tools (Automated Clearing House - ACH and check positive pay) and relying on the knowledge of corporate delegations of authority in order to prevent fraud on corporate bank accounts
  • Activate/update/deactivate entitlements for bank software users using bank setup tool and relying on authorized request from Business Unit (BU) in order to ensure each user is given the correct access to bank accounts
  • Perform new bank account configuration setup in SAP Fiori and Kyriba Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
  • Verify and report monthly cash balances using ENGIE treasury systems ensuring reconciliation with Accounting team for month end closing
  • Determine the daily cash positions for North American entities and maintain Kyriba short-term cash forecast for each cash pooled entity incorporating information from the businesses on anticipated receipts/payments.  Analyze and report on significant drivers for changes in cash positions
  • Review and analyze Kyriba generated Cash Pool balance report and work with Accounting and Legal on quarterly capital reallocation project
  • Manage weekly cash forecasts for renewables partnerships; calculate and process partnership distributions/cash injections; analyze long-term cash needs
  • Serve as a back-up to confirm payment instructions and/or changed payment instructions for North American vendors.  Work to obtain electronic payment information for all legacy vendors allowing number of check payments to be reduced
  • Serve as a back-up to review all non-check payments using appropriate support documentation and relying on the knowledge of North American delegations of authority in order to confirm that the required approvals have been obtained
  • Manage the entry/approval/release of manual wire transfers and ACH payments relying on the knowledge of the bank software’s payment initiation tool and segregation of duties within North American Treasury policies and procedures in order to ensure that daily payments are completed
  • Review and analyze monthly bank fees; prepare budget assumptions for 5-year plan
  • Manage corporate loans to ensure interest and principal payments are made in a timely manner; prepare partial and full loan repayment requests
  • Reconcile and prepare monthly corporate debt schedules for Accounting

What You Can Expect

As the IT– Operational Technology (OT) System Operations Senior in Houston, Texas for ENGIE North America you will be responsible for installing, managing and upgrading systems and servers within the IT-OT environment. The administrator will oversee data security, configure user access, and ensure the stability of the systems as well as daily management of the virtual environment. Every day, you will report to the IT-OT System Administrative, Senior Advisor to support and manage  system configuration, specifically related to the ENGIE NA Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)- Industrial Control System (ICS). Ideally you will possess advanced knowledge in Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in resolving intricate IT challenges. Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory for user and group management, as well as knowledge of group policy principles.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field of study

  • Minimum of five (5) years of IT Server Operations, with experience in Operational Technology (OT)/ Industry Control Systems (ICS) being beneficial to the success of the role
  • Robust computer and networking skills, and thorough knowledge of networking concepts, principals, and best practices
  • Expert at managing and supporting Microsoft Windows OS technology, including Microsoft Active Directory
  • Strong knowledge of virtual technology (VMWare, ESXi, and Nutanix AHV virtual platforms)
  • Strong knowledge of OS patching capabilities
  • Comply with ENGIE ICS Security Framework concepts, processes and procedures, or ability to learn within three months
  • General understanding and compliance of NERC CIP standards, process and controls and participate in SCADA Network security assessments and audits is beneficial to the role
  • An understanding of SCADA system communication and protocols such that the network can be secured without affecting reliability

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; 3 days in office a week
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive to site locations
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
