What You Can Expect
As our Human Resources Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with various HR tasks and projects, such as recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement. You will also have the opportunity to learn from tenured HR professionals and gain valuable skills and experience in the HR field.
Every day you will support the Human Resources team with various administrative tasks and projects including but not limited to:
- Helping with the onboarding process, such as preparing welcome packages, conducting pre-hire background checks, and collecting paperwork.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of HR process and materials
- Researching and analyzing HR best practices and trends
You will report to the Human Resources Services Manager. The internship work term will be approximately January 6, 2025- May 30, 2025. This position is part time.
What You’ll Bring
- You are currently enrolled in your undergraduate degree at a college or university program related to human resources, business administration, psychology, or a similar field.
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- You are currently enrolled in a college or university program related to human resources, business administration, psychology, or related field
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with the opportunity to become familiar with HR software and systems
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- You enjoy working independently and as part of a team, and can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of with a minimum of three (3) days in the Houston, TX office
- You are able to work up to 20-40 hours per week
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time for career fairs
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Assist with additional HR requirements that are requested
Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00 - $23.75 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
