Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to deliver collections strategies and achieve departmental and company targets.
  • Oversee the timely collection of outstanding debts, addressing issues early to prevent overdue balances.
  • Monitor and report on collections performance, trends, and outstanding balances. Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and challenges.
  • Foster team communication, identify knowledge gaps, and drive cross-training and development.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Manage attendance, performance, and conduct issues within the team.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the collections process to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices. Coordinate with legal teams for debt recovery actions if necessary.
  • Plan and manage the day-to-day productivity of the team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support the team in resolving escalated issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain and review process documentation to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to assess risk and make sound decisions.
  • Proven team leadership and people management experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff.

Experience

  • Previous collections/recoveries/contact centre experience.
  • Experience in a similar role within the Energy sector is desirable.
  • Previous Team Leader/Manager experience is beneficial.

 

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C (or equivalent) or above.
  • Degree level (or equivalent) is preferable.

What You Can Expect

As our Sales Manager with ENGIE North America, your primary objective is to prospect and acquire new Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers for ENGIE retail business in the New York (NYISO) & New England (NEPOOL) ISO regions to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related discipline; In lieu of the educational requirement, we will accept a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant industry  experience in retail energy sales

You are persuasive at communication, effective negotiation skills, and interaction with executive-level decision-makers

You are a self-driven individual capable of quickly learning new products, processes, and systems

You have the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism

You have the ability to work closely with Key Account Teams and functional support groups to close transactions with key customers, ensuring seamless service delivery and the realization of expected revenues and margins

Compensation

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect
Collaborating with the Retail Operations Senior Analyst to utilize various tools and applications aimed at minimizing credit risk exposure and credit losses through the accurate and timely management of disconnect and reconnect processes. Specialize in the collection of debt owed

  • Generate weekly Accounts Receivable reports in ARC to create batches for overdue ERCOT and non-ERCOT accounts 
  • Ensure batches are generated and submitted to a third-party vendor for the distribution of customer dunning notices via email and mail 
  • Collaborate with relevant teams—including sales, legal, digital, cash application, billing, and others—to address and resolve customer issues 
  • Provide analytical support and conduct ad hoc analysis for the top 20 Resources and EP&G accounts 
  • Conduct research and generate reports for various dashboards and PowerPoint presentations 
  • Participate in key departmental projects and actively engage in cross-functional teams to support quality improvements, processes, and initiatives

Context:

The position belongs to the Quantitative Data Analysts team in Belgium (Brussels) specifically dedicated to assist the management of risks for belgian B2C and B2B Energy Suppliers.

The main missions associated with the position are :

  • Based on data collection and analysis, to build models, tools, processes and data representations, that are used to manage the commodity risks linked to the dynamics of a Supply portfolio
  • The purpose of this work is to operate and optimize costing, forecasting, sourcing and hedging strategies, within a defined mandate

The quantitative analyst / data scientist will do the design, but also the development and ensure the delivery of these models and tools. Beyond that, he will also provide scientific expertise for bespoke analysis, related to data or models.

Context:

The Expertise Center (EC) Quantitative Research and Modeling (QRM) within GEMS is a team of around 40 quantitative analysts. It’s mission is to provide advanced quantitative expertise to all Business Platforms (BP) of GEMS.

The quantitative analyst will be part of the “Power & Emissions” quant team (approximately 10 people) and will be supporting the different local business platforms, with a focus on the US Business Platform located in Houston.

Role:

 

The quantitative analyst should design and provide robust quantitative tools that have a concrete impact on the power business:

  • Work very closely with the BP US, mainly with the Renewable and Batteries Trading teams. He / She needs to understand their business needs, and needs to provide them with high-quality quantitative support in their day to day activities.
  • Participate in enhancing the existing pricing and managing framework.
  • Deliver ad hoc tactical solutions as well as develop new pricers in the official pricing library.
  • Play a key role for developing new products, linked for example to the renewable and battery business (pricing, managing strategies, various risk indicators, …).
  • Promote best coding practices that comply with general rules and standards.
  • Document and share knowledge across GEMS on the different models used within GEMS.

 

 

Hard skills:

  • Must have:
    • Strong Financial Mathematical background (probability, stochastic calculus, various numerical methods such as Monte Carlo, finite differences, …)

Context :

Under the authority of the Head of Compensation and Benefits and in close collaboration with the Senior C&B Specialist in Brussels, you will work within the HR Expertise Center of GEMS unit both in Paris and Brussels, with occasional travels oustide Brussels and Paris.      

You will be in charge of Comp and Ben initiatives and projects while ensuring the operational management of the reward processes and practices contributing to attract, retain and motivate high-quality employees while enhancing GEMS as the best place to work.

Your role :

As part of our team, you will play a central role in the HR Expertise Center of GEMS unit. You will be involved in various missions:

 

  • Ensure that our salary and bonus review process is well implemented in our reward digital tool (beqom) in close collaboration with the project owner (requirement definition, testing, return of experience…)

 

  • Ensure compliance of the C&B practices with the initiatives launched by the Engie Group, GEMS strategy and applicable local legislation and regulations (banking regulatory standards and requirements as CRDIV / IFR, IFD…),
  • Manage warrants campaigns, follow-up on withholding taxes and manage bonus collective to Belgian employees

 

  • Prepare payroll instructions and letters

 

  • Manage Flexible Benefits plan (My Choice) & new initiatives on Mobility budgets « Green » (+Car Policy)…

 

  • Work on the C&B processes simplification and automatization

 

  • Ensure the hands-on management of C&B processes and programs such as annual salary review, deferred compensation, LTI's and employee share ownership,

 

  • Participate in annual salary surveys and analyze competitive trends in the markets to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits in order to make most valued recommendations,

 

  • Budgetary control of salary costs and provisions (Bonus pool, standard costs, Expats...) in collaboration with Management Control and the Tax Department (Transfer Pricing),

 

  • Prepare statistical analyses and reports for the various stakeholders Compliance department, Compensation Committee, Management Committee, Finance department, HR group…
