About the Role: 

Join our Collections & Recoveries team to manage administration, liaise with stakeholders, and support our efforts in the energy transition.

 

This is a Hybrid role assigned to our Leeds office where the successful candidate would be based two days a week.  On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts through our debt recovery process
  • Contact customers to collect payments via phone/email
  • Liaise with stakeholders to reduce aged debt and resolve queries
  • Negotiate and manage payment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and data
  • Create legal packs and manage spreadsheets
  • Handle accounts with detrimental information from Companies House
  • Manage customers in insolvency and create landlord letters
  • Assist the disconnections team with support tasks
  • Prepare and validate legal packs
  • Manage post and mailboxes

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in legal practice, insolvency admin, or debt recovery
  • Preferable utility industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and verbal reasoning
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle difficult customers
  • Team player with the ability to work at all levels
  • Understanding of the legal claims process
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is desirable

Qualifications:

Purpose of the Job:

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership and leadership of projects, ensuring their successful delivery against defined criteria of time, cost, quality, and benefits realisation. Key Accountabilities:

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-level standard, ideally to degree level or equivalent.

What you will do:

Activity Setup / Project Management:

  • You will cooperate with lateral desks such as PW Trading, ST, Green Desk, and Costing to prioritize and execute the best strategies.
  • You will build up the books and ensure accurate booking for the monitored positions.
  • You will develop and maintain relationships with a range of counterparties, Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and local exchanges.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • 1-3 year-experience in running a supply and/or generation portfolio and/or a proprietary book;
  • Experience in project management and IT projects deployment;
  • Experience in energy markets and trading algorithms/ strategy development: proficient power markets knowledge on Romanian and SEE markets;
  • Fluent in English. French and/or Romanian are a plus;
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills: proficiency in data science, data analysis. Python proficiency expected;
  • Strong organizational and team leadership abilities;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Context:

As Short Term Trader, you will play a pivotal role within the Short Term Trading desk, organized within the Short term Power as a Service.

The mission of Short Term Trading is to maximize  the revenues of  the ENGIE  power portfolio within the CWE region and maximize the value of intraday trading activities in the developing pan-European Intraday markets. As an intraday trader, your key responsibility is to multitask and be able to take decisions on a very short time frame based on a large dataset.

These activities are executed within a sub team of 9 people organized continuous 24/7 and taking up both Trading & optimization activities.

You will interact very closely with the Algorithmic trading development team.

 

Role:

In the role of Short Term Trader, you will be responsible for: 

  • Maximizing the CWE power portfolio revenues in intra-day, including renewable management, sales exposure and asset flexibility
  • Leveraging on our market expertise in order to maximize the value of our trading activities.
  • You will act as a single window to the intraday Market in order to cover the real time physical needs of our clients and re-optimize the asset portfolio against the intraday power market prices.
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenues and minimize the costs for our clients over the different time horizons of the short term chain
  • Develop cross-maturity models which can serve the portfolio of assets, intermittency, DSM and develop efficient strategies to capture trading opportunities on those different markets.
  • Delivering 3rd party services for external Customers.
  • Ensuring correct and timely delivered reporting of portfolio and market activities.
  • You work in a 24/7 shift system.

You will report on a regular basis to the Head of Short Term Trading.

 

Profile:

Mission:

Short Term Power Optimizer candidate will be part of Assets Optimization and Trading (AOT, one of the local department of Global Energy Management Italy –GEM Italy– ). His/her activity will be learning how to create value around GEM Italian assets.

Based on its perimeter defined by Head of POWER Short Term Optimization & Trading, the candidate will learn:

  • The Italian power market players and elements (Power Plants, transmission grid flows)
  • Power spot market (Day Ahead; Intraday, Ancillaries markets): understanding and deep learning on the main drivers and fundamentals
  • How manage power assets with analysis based on probabilistic models, maximizing results and minimizing risk, through all flexibility offered by the markets
  • How assess market strategies of competitors through the development of new analysis tools

Short Term Power Optimizer will directly report to the Short Term Power Optimization & Trading desk Manager. The ideal profile matches with the followings prerequisites:

 

Degree/Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering /Mathematics /Data science;
  • Excellent attitude in quantitative analysis and probabilistic model;
  • Knowledge of energy markets is a plus;
  • Knowledge of trading environment is a strong plus;
